Hi all, I'm currently trying to rebuild my gen 2 1UZ ( only know its a gen 2 from watching your videos) and cant get hold of the oil pump o rings anywhere at the moment, not even from a main dealer. Don't suppose you have one to hand and can measure it up so I can get on with putting my engine together whilst I'm off work with about three quarters of the world at the moment please. the problem I'm having is the cross section as my old one is squashed. really enjoy your videos and have learned a lot about the !UZ engine from watching you work on them. Thanks for all the great work keep it up MANY THANKS PAUL

Hi, thanks for the great video XAT modifies their oil pumps, do you think doing this ?
    this is what they do:
remove all hard edges, radius all corners, enlarge the front main seal drain, and shim the pressure relief valve to give more max PSI

Hello George. In most cases we find stock new pump works fine and I dont want any more oil pressure. If doing a performance build we might remove a few edges but again brand new works really well. cheer Kelvin

Does the engine need to come out to service the oil pump on a first gen 1UZFE? Or can this be done with the engine in the car while, say, changing the timing belt and water pump? A new AISIN oil pump assembly is about $180 USD.

The oil pump is bolted onto the block then the sump is bolted to the block and oil pump. Attempting to do in place is awkward and gives potential for lots off issues. For how easy it is to drop out far easier to drop out and do properly. This is why this engine came out of the car. Cheers Kelvin

It looks like the cover doesn't require sealant (only the screws) - how do you minimize the oil seepage that you saw?

Hello James. I used my fine surfacing stone to confirm it was flat. Fine Wet and dry on glass also works well. I used a tiny bead of 518 locklite to confirm no leakage.

Hello Luke. Front and back o-ring are the same part. 9672124025 is the number for all UZ blocks , both early non vvti and VVti. Cheers Kelvin
