For everyone asking why they’re doing this: In this specific video they’re covering SOG (which is their national SWAT). That’s why it’s a selection. I’ve been a Marine and in Law Enforcement for 10 years, I’ve been on the USMS Fugitive TF and it was a BLAST. A good number of police are prior military 1. And 2. I don’t understand why people think selections should be exclusive to the military there are POGs (admin cooks etc ) that go through USMC bootcamp which at one time was pretty tough. And for what? they’re never going to touch combat 9/10. SOG in particular has been in Afghanistan and Iraq and hunts the worst criminals the U.S. has to offer we should WANT our police (especially federal law enforcement) to hold themselves to a high standard. Its crazy people want good cops and criticize them when they implement proven training methods lol
So these are just cops? And boot camp is a lot different than a selection for special operations... This just looks like some boot camp / basic training stuff... Not a selection..
@@ICALLBS-tb2kx so yeah these are US Marshals, this is selection for their SWAT Team which is called SOG. I know guys that have done it and having done USMC bootcamp I feel like it’s a bit harder. They saw it on a movie, so that’s how “training” is supposed to be. This is one of my MAJOR complaints about the U.S. military training system. None of this stuff prepares you for combat and actually destroys the cohesion of a unit. I’ve never been attacked in Iraq by a guy with a fat dip in his lip yelling at me to do pushups. Never once did I have an NCO take me and make me 3 to 5 second rush until I passed out with only grading my performance quietly to smoke me. Nope it’s all yelling screaming and genuinely completely unprofessional behavior. Probably just to add stress, these people have probably never had to deal with high stress and they need to see who will crack from just a little yelling.
