    I am watching the show for the very first time. I was an extra on it one time. All I remember when I was on it, was being in a scene that Jimmy Smits was in and he was super nice to me. Finally getting around to watching the show. It really has got my attention. I’m binging hardcore. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 I haven’t seen myself in it yet. I don’t have a clue what episode or year I worked on it.

    There's so many others that could have been here: Amanda donohoe, Michael cumpsty, a martinez, Cecil Hoffman, Lisa Zane, Alexandra powers, Sheila Kelley. As well as actors who were never part of the cast, but appeared on so many episodes, like Anthony desando. I've seen every la law episode over 4 times.
    This is the number one show to increase “SAT” vocabulary. There were so many words I had no idea what they were, I had to pause the episode to look up the word. For example I learned the word “fractious” from character Douglas brackman.
    Amanda donohoe is my favorite female actress of all time, but not because of la law although she was charming as cj lamb. Her character in the USA network movie “the substitute” was so unnerving & so professionally executed, that Gayle Richards is one of the greatest villainesses of all time. I could spend hours talking about la law episodes.

    Very well moderated discussion which much like show brought up some very important, serious issues. Too bad we can't have more political discussion like this. Some critics might accuse this being a "liberal elite" forum but to me it's more of a indictment against anger and hate. Glad to see these cast members have so much respect for each other as people and performers.

  • @PotterSpurn1
    @PotterSpurn1 3 месяца назад

    I loved Allen Rachins' Douglas Brackman character best of all. Hilarious his Firm penny pinching paper clip counting Senior Partner/Manager job, especially those funny bickering marital scenes with his on (and off) screen wife. The cases were so funny too, especially with the one about the Salamander and the Pop band with different musical styles who wanted to share the same name and their outrageous performances in court in front of the judge. The stories also touched upon serious issues of the day too, like violence, rape, racial prejudice and so on. It had it all.
    The casting was so brilliant and the acting fantastic. Pity the box set costs around £500.

      It was like 1990; the one "lesbian kiss"; was all they could get away...It was a short-lived one shot deal...They did that KNOWING Michelle Greene was leaving in a few episodes. And the network said, "ok. You can do the experimental kiss. But it can't evolve into a real relationship". That was too much for america to handle back in the homophobic early 90s. So knowing Abby was leaning in a few episodes they made her the guinea pig, and the sacrificial lamb, so to speak... It turned out to be the most iconic moment moment of the show, ironically...

    If Michael Tucker was talking about the episode when a lady was hosting a party and spewing anti-semetic remarks causing Stuart to call her out and then throwing her cabinet to the floor was actually based on a real event involving well known writer; the late Harlan Ellison.

      They are referring to the long arc of episodes where Harry Hamlin (Michael Kuzak) takes a case about a professor, played greatly by (Carl Lumbly) who is accused of killing a lover/student. This long multi-episode case ultimately gets him found not guilty due to ethical and legal impropriety by the prosecutor. But this arc also leads down the long road towards bitterness between factions of the Firm.
