Journalists and interviewers exist to get attention (to justify their existence for advertisers/user pay fees/government funding). They aren't there to inform, entertain or do anything of value - if they do it is just a coincidence that the person has integrity- it isn't rewarded in that profession. I oversimplify, sometimes they work to serve a vested interest, ideology or other hidden agenda.
