A lot of those people haven't matured beyond their rebellious teens. How many of these stories include "You can't tell me/my kid what to do!" Meanwhile they or their kid are doing something dangerous. They don't care about the danger, the only thing they care about is that someone is "controlling" them. It's pathetic. They're the ones who were out screaming at strangers for wearing masks during the pandemic and posting on social media that it was all a plot to oppress them. The funniest part is that no amount of evidence will make them see sense.

HOA has insurance. What insurance doesn't cover they assess the HOA members. A lawsuit against an HOA must include a settlement against the INDIVIDUAL officers so that they are personally held liable to settle.
Rat tail story. lt was pouring rain & l was on my bike when Mrs Duck decided to cross the road with her babies. l stopped & a line of traffic stopped behind me. l knew the driver of the car coming the opposite way & when she stopped we had a short conversation while the Duck family crossed the road. A major road so the traffic soon banked up. Soon some impatient a-hole far behind me started blowing his horn. Then he/she/it pulled out, still blowing his/her/its horn & overtook the lot of us. The Coppers were parked on the side of the road & got him. Meanwhile the Ducks made it across the road, under a fence & into a large dam. As the traffic started to move again, quite a few people gave idiot a wave or a brief honk as they drve past him pulled over. And it was still raining.
Nice one! At first, I thought that your description of Mrs. Duck and family was a metaphor for a Karen and her entitled children, in keeping with the theme of these stories :-)
If some dweebs can on my property insisting I join their HOA and handed me papers to sign I would tear them up right in front of them, pointedly tell them I will NOT sign or join their club, they have 30 seconds to get off my property before being trespassed, and if I receive ANY harassment in ANY form, fines, letters, etc. I will go after then by any and all legal means, and if that fails, in person!

Those pipes must really be buried shallow. The story reads that there were “branches” in the pipes plugging them. Aside from that, most sewage lines are buried very deep.

I love all of these stories except for the person in the third if you drive under the speed limit in front of me I have and will run you off the fucking road if you cannot do the speed limit you have no right to be behind the wheel of a vehicle the speed limits are already too slow they have not be re-evaluated and over 30 fucking years go or get moved

Last story: I would have dropped their paperwork into the nearest trash bin in full view of the Horribly Obnoxious A-holes (HOA) board.

The roots plug it. And depending on the depth, noxious fumes may never get to the surface. Source: personal experience.
Tree roots grow into and clog drain pipes. You must not live near trees.

We have to have ours unclogged yearly due to roots. Our house is 70 years old. It is something we just have to do due to roots! ✌
