This is one of the best videos I’ve heard on marriage, celibacy, and dating...I would love to hear a commentary from Pastor Roters on those who have been married and divorced, abuse in a marriage, remarriage ( if it’s possible) etc...
Anyone, what is the translation Velly is reading from at 40:11 (Luke)? So simply said yet accurate -- thanks for this excellent conversation, Velly always seemed silent behing the scenes but now we all know her better and have learned a lot about listening to God. Please feature her again in these conversations, my favorite platform!
Velle, you mean you never got the "Don't Let Him Pressure You For Sex" talk? That's one of the first talks I got when I turned 13 circa 1996. EVERY TEENAGE GIRL GETS THAT TALK.
I think some of the physical stuff depends on the person. It's not a one-size-fits-all type of thing. If kissing makes you feel tempted toward more, then don't. Different ppl can handle different things. For me, I'd be able to stop there, and I could say no to him.
I thought of something else I wanted to say, so I Came back. I'm very cynical. This goes back to what I said about not letting guy pressure you into sex. I don't think the "unequally yoked" thing is fool proof. Dating a Christian guy does not mean he can't pressure you. It never happened to me personally, but I heard stories. I even heard of the flip of that scenario, although I couldn't imagine a guy turning down a willing girl. Also, the typical threat that the guy (Christian or not) uses for pressuring the girl is "I'll break up with you."
I tend to be a little easier on someone if the context of sexual activity is a relationship versus that person sleeping around. With most of these stories, by and large, the ppl aren't sleeping around.

What a lovely couple with godly advice on how to court and wait in God. ❤️
So good for you
This was an amazing video! I am so blessed to have seen the story of how God brought you both together in purity and His strength! Glory to God! 😁

That's because you don't really like the guy. If it's a man I desire I'd flee from him cos I'd be all over him
