Genuine question: to those who found Nioh 1 hard, what was it that you found difficult? i played the game years ago now and never knew how hard others found it.
Most enemies one-shot/two-shot you while you have to hit even the weakest enemies up to 7 times. Especially the dlc bosses are basically unfair difficult. Especially since I was underleveled for more than 70 levels even after completing all the side missions.
to be fair nioh started getting updates that nerfs a lot of spirit builds people used, so what people assumed was easy because of an op build pretty much became pointless. As for normal builds if you didnt use magic/skills or learned the idea of switching stances mid fight I can see how some monsters later on would be hell
@@XonixDerps really? I jumped back on Nioh after those nerfs and they were still pretty solid. In my experience their "complete the whole map with 1 spirit summon" style just got nerfed, but the build itself when you had your spirit gauge up was still pretty solid. Isn't that a good thing?
@@Sweet7Montana oh no it is, jsut thats what I meant by those who used that style of played thinking the games hard after - because you know.. you gotta learn how to use the moves now and stance switching. my bad skills leave a lot to be desired yet i managed to get through Nioh on plus plus and it's just having a lot of patience and not giving up 😉 I'm still to buy and play Sekiro, the content in Nioh is emence and it takes a lot of googling to understand all the games content and inventory yet it's one amazing yet very brutal challenging game that is down to mastering your Ki
I wa t a ninja garden like the first one with difficulty choices and bigger and more upgradeable weapons. The exploringvand action and adventure the first ninja garden did was awesome
since you asked, you should probably use your ki better using the pulse more and not running or dodging when you dont need to, maybe also using different stances some enemies weakpoints like head are really easy to kill with high stance. sorry if it sounded mean just wanna help
Nathan, I can't believe you played through that whole demo using a single stance. The combat of Nioh is based around using the different stances! One of the first abilities you unlock is gaining extra Ki and attack power by switching stances during a ki pulse. Plus mixing stances lets you do some really interesting stuff. High stance does the most damage, but slows you down and causes your dodge to be much slower; however, you can stay in low stance to move around, switch to high for an attack or two, then switch back to low to get out of the way. On top of that, several enemies are weak to specific stances, so switching which one you use can drastically improve your odds. Well done on your game play, but I want to see you really master the mechanics and show people what can be achieved in these games.
Yeah you're right, but it's tricky! There's a lot to remember in terms of mechanics, and the new combat elements too. I wanted to get through and see as much of the level as possible so I went super basic...

Yeah you are really missing out. I highly recommend trying them, you might not like it but at least try it. Some things are not going to be for everyone but soulslike games are so satisfying and they are very enjoyable. Not to mention that the soulslike genre has been blowing up recently! Last year there were probably at least 5 soulslike games that were released, which is largely improved. The main 3 developers of soulslike games (so far as I can tell) are FromSoftware, Team Ninja, and Deck13. There are also a number of indie soulslike games that have come out such as Blasphemous, Salt and Sanctuary, and Death’s Gambit. Honestly I can’t wait to see what the soulslike genre has to offer in the future.
@@tedillagami5687 I recommend Sekiro. That feeling of clashing swords with another Ninja and hearing that "clang" from your Katana and theirs, is awesome.
i hope they nerfed down a bit of the onmyo magics like sloth and weakness talismans as after you got them in the first game all the bosses just became a massive zerg of using the spells on them then using your living weapon until they died
@@wallacesousuke1433 lol I remember the first time I was playing nioh I found it all so incredibly hard I didn't even think about using magic until the last region then the game became kinda easy after that. but at first I just was playing melee build and I didn't know how effective magic would be vs bosses

I'm playing the first nioh atm after playing all the from soft games and id say so far it's harder. Most of the time in a fair way like running out of ki a lot, but also there is a lot of bulshit in this game that you wouldn't necessarily get in triple a polished games like souls etc
Wasn't the biggest fan of Nioh. Enjoyed the combat, but found pretty much every other aspect mediocre, especially when compared to the Soulsborne games (which i'm a huge fan of) Thankfully, this game looks like a nice improvement (particularly in the boss fights) so i'm remaining cautiously optimistic right now.
I expected a bigger graphical leap in 2, and in my opinion I think they should have trimmed the phat of all the loot and added more movement mechanics or something to differentiate it from the first. polish the UI and have it look less cluttered
Nioh 1 was one of the best games iv ever played and found it a challenge yet I'll be waiting till i can pick up Nioh 2 when its on offer as I'm in no rush to paying full game price even through its definitely worth paying full price for it as u do get game play value if ur one of the players that enjoys platinum the game.
I feel like I’m torn because I liked Nioh, and it’s gameplay loop of ki recovery, as well as the extra skill tree. Then I played Sekiro, and loved the deflect mechanic mixed with the stealth, and the gameplay loop that brought. And now Nioh 2 looks much the same as the first. I keep wanting to deflect as it seems way more interesting gameplay wise. Is there a sell other then what’s in this video?
You're loss on missing out on this Masterpiece. Doom 2 is the equivalent of Nioh 2 and Dark souls 2..in terms of the kind of sequel it will be. Except souls 2 was the worst of the souls series this will be a Masterpiece
Yeah... you can also pretty much shape the Boob of the female character aswell 😅 ( Height , Weight also included ) meaning how tall & how bulkier your character is... however , there is a certain Limit shown in the game... some Bosses like Toshiie Maeda look really Tall , while your Character is fixed to a certain Height even if it was the Maximum... I believe Male are abit taller than Female specially when you turn into Yokai Shift keep that in mind
Nah, no way, I think that's what sets it apart from Souls formula is the subtle loot grind. Should let Souls be Souls and Nioh be Nioh. Don't want every game to have the exact same mechanics.
Shyh Horng the loot system of Nioh mainly adds replayability and I personally think it’s awesome. But I’m a Nioh fan. It’s cool because the game has a luck stat and if you get your luck up high enough you can get really good drops. The loot system of Dark Souls isn’t bad. But Nioh is designed vastly different because of the mission structure. Things in Nioh are much faster and easier to get to. It could be a grind to get the weapons or armor you want but you can go to the specific section you have the most chance of getting the stuff from and increase your luck and get possibly something even better than you originally planned.
Tatienou orest Same as Nioh. The map is updated but it’s still based on levels. Man you should go back to Nioh it’s an incredible game. It deserves your time. Most games have levels. Look at any Mario or Doom 2016. Nioh 2 looks even better. In every way. ❤️🦁🙏👍
Couldn't stand the combat system of the first one, the OCD level of attention to your stamina bar (to get an instant stamina refill) was the most annoying thing to me. Lacks the heavy feel you get from From Soft games, but I wish the devs the best. Just wasn't for me.
Did you know that if you look at your character after you attack, blue energy will appear around him? If you do a ki pulse when they form a ring, you get a full ki refill.
@@harlannguyen4048 oooh wow I didn't notice that, but I happen to be completely color blind so i have to heavily alter the contrast on a lot of games. Maybe that's why I couldn't get the feel.
I just hope they dont add 1254877 new difficulties with each patch/dlc and add them all from the beginning so you can farm all the way up there without having to play the game over and over again like they did it in the first game with each DLC. They added a new difficulty each time and made your entire equipment you farmed for days or even months worthless in an instant. I didnt even bother playinge DLC 2 and 3 because of that.
I hope the character creation doesn't mean your PC will just be a characterless player avatar. That was one of my biggest gripes with the old Soulsborne games. Anyway, it's nice to see Nekomata's back! What a good, pipe smoking kitty.

Nioh was a bloody hard game, much more punishing that dark souls, cant wait for this!
I would say it was more frustrating, not harder
Nioh is harder than souls hands down. Dark souls 2 Is mostly artificial difficulty as well. Difficulty in souls 2 is different from souls 1.
I’m going to buy the new back button attachment just for this game (and others that i need to press up on the D pad to heal) I have a habit of taking my right hand of the controller to press up so I can still use my left thumb to keep moving
Paddles and/or buttons are freakin' life in games like these.
can not wait
playstation acces . please answer my short question , did you find any new affixes on gear for yokai power builds or anything new for new builds
Didn't have enough time to dig into gear at all, I switched up weapons, sorted items and that was it.
That boar guardian deity summon is identical to the Gullinbursti/Slidrugtanne sacred treasure summons in Warriors Orochi 4. I made sure to preorder the Ultimate version that comes out on Friday AND this beauty right here. Hope you can actually SWIM this time instead of water automatically being death like Assassin's Creed 1.
Sounds like they didn't change the boss music, which would be a shame, because it was one of my only complaints in Nioh 1, no unique boss music.
It seems to me like Nioh 2 is gonna have a mix of Nioh 1 music and new Nioh 2 music, just like we're gonna have the enemy types of Nioh 1 and new Nioh 2 enemy types, all to help with the variety problem. If you're a new player to the series, you won't notice this, but if you've played Nioh 1, you will definitely notice this.
True l agree but l loved the 1st game so much that its an automatic buy for me. Still haven't completed the final dlc boss too hard for me lol
To me it seems like its just nioh 1 now im not sure if im gonna buy it
Aqua best girl sorry had too
My old eyes can't tell what's happening on-screen with games like this
Yea it takes awhile getting used to training your sight. Also playing the actual game makes it alot easier to adapt to the speed
wow this looks fantastic! Cannot wait
How did I guess the moment I saw the final boss before the name popped up that it was the devil shibata katsuie shibata
I still need to play the DLC for Nioh 1. I bought it half price months ago and haven't had time to try it yet.
Dude play it it’s amazing
Nioh was actually my very first platinum trophy, loved the first one. This one feels like Nioh 1.5 to me. I’m definitely going to play it, maybe my opinion will change once I get my hands on it.
Post-Honnoji and Battle of Shizugatake, I didn't expected to see that, I expected to see Honnoji was the end. That's good wonder which era it end maybe it goes to till Siege of Odawara.
@SheanWalsh most likely. I really suprised seeing Katsuie's last stand. I'm really curious for DLCs. Takeda Shingen and Uesugi Kenshin are definetely saved for DLC and Odawara as last DLC would be fitting closure, resurracted Ujiyasu Hojo or Soun Hojo as last boss, I really hyped.
Ima pc player on steam. I loved Nioh its one of my favorite action rpgs. Im sad it wont be released on pc the same time as ps4. Id def pre order it on steam.
When will it be released on PC?
PUNANI_SLAYER420 around 6 months to a year after it releases on Ps4 based on what happened previously with the first Nioh
Fck yeah. I Beat nioh 1 like 5 Times. My levl was over 600, i was using sword and spear. 2nd Nioh for me is MUST HAVE!
Please put up more Nioh 2, guys! Absolutely loving it.
Though I do watch this one guy who said in the later difficulties where everything can one shot you it still is much of a try and build for a oneshot style. :c
yessssss
I missed out on both the first nioh & sekiro- games I know I'd like if I wasn't bad at soulslike games now with the sequel & ghost of tsushima looking like it's a soulslike I need to man up an get good.
ganjover YOU CAN DO IT MAN! I have all of them play throughs on my channel playlists. I’m not the best but in the start I was bad now I’m pretty damn good lol! Just take your time. Practice. Level up. Learn the controls. Few games are as good as these. Sekiro. Bloodborne. Nioh. Can’t wait for Ghost or T and I’m going to play all the dark souls next year when they are on next generation. Can’t wait. I believe in you! You can get good! ❤️🦁🙏👍
Nioh is one amazing game I'd highly recommend it 👍
what do you mean missed out you can still play them actually they would be on sale by now, HURRY AND PICK THEM UP!!! haha
Im proud of you
my bad skills leave a lot to be desired yet i managed to get through Nioh on plus plus and it's just having a lot of patience and not giving up 😉 I'm still to buy and play Sekiro, the content in Nioh is emence and it takes a lot of googling to understand all the games content and inventory yet it's one amazing yet very brutal challenging game that is down to mastering your Ki
He kind of just glosses over the fact that it looks like you can switch between spirits mid-combat.
Nioh 1 aswell after you complete the last boss 1st time
Shibata Katsuie... *shudders*
You have to admit....Nath is good at these types of games. Stealth...not so much.
PC when?
I'm playing through the first one again in anticipation for this. I would love to see you guys stream Nioh 2.
Loved the first one and need a fix of a soulsborne game so looking forward to this
I also immediately thought of master splinter when nath ran into that rat beast

You can get Ochoko cups from defeating Revenants. Hope that you make a in depth video on everything that's new.
Looks like they made the combat faster, but may be because it's a late level with a high level character
It does feel a bit like that - I'm mid-stance throughout, but felt quicker than most enemies
Is the loot system the same as the first game?

Nioh1 has so much content, i could probably go another year without Nioh 2.
Yeah Nioh 1 was much more fun for me... i finished Sekiro in about less than a Month , while it took me about 4 months to Finish Nioh 1 without even the DLC's 😅 although not the first DLC i played that Part 👌🏼 But Nioh 2 looks overall great , goodluck

@Parwinder Singh Probably will. Maybe after I beat Nioh2, just to get a better feel for it. Some sequels do that, they go back to a prequel of a game, kinda like DMC.
Looks good 👍
Halfway through the video Professor Brian Cox's voice started coming out 😂
This game looks amazing. But like the Soul's,Bloodborne and Sekiro game's I'll never play them. My heart couldn't take the stress
You are missing out. I was afraid of trying these games too but I played bloodborne this summer and I loved it. Now I badly want to play all the others😂
I HAVE THE DOCUMENT that’s an interesting story. I’m just trying to enjoy gaming while I’m young because I know I won’t have time when I’m older.
Just do co-op my dude. I think Nioh 2 is going to be even more co-op friendly that Nioh 1.

@@rionsteiner4422 strange when i play nioh 1 and when i played the beta it was there
I always thought Nioh was harder then dark souls but easier then Sekiro
it all depends on your experience with these kind of games
I'm playing the first nioh atm after playing all the from soft games and id say so far it's harder. Most of the time in a fair way like running out of ki a lot, but also there is a lot of bulshit in this game that you wouldn't necessarily get in triple a polished games like souls etc
The weekly updates that Koei Tecmo/TeamNINJA are giving us before launch is really helpful to make the wait easier.
I swear if we can't make WIlliam!
I hope they change his phase 2 yokai form music a Little it doesent really fit and its just the old theme from nioh 1.
Bloodborne forever the top of all games the king.
Blood borne makes this look like something a couple of Japanese teenagers came up with in their spare time
Beeta
I expected a bigger graphical leap in 2, and in my opinion I think they should have trimmed the phat of all the loot and added more movement mechanics or something to differentiate it from the first. polish the UI and have it look less cluttered
We need a Sekiro 2
WHY CANT THIS COME OUT PC ON MARCH 13TH AS WELL
well by the time it release for PC it will most likely have DLC out and stuff so its not all bad
Looks good and all but it just looks like an expansion to Nioh

I'm so ready for March. Are there pre-order bonuses for this one?
I want to get this game but I'm not sure I want to pay full price for it. The first game was good but not something to sit down and relax to.
Are they gonna fix the bug from the first one where you cannot move after being hit? ruined the first Nioh for me that did
Yeah.. it was something called hitstun, wasn't no bug, chief.

WarriYahTruth haha, I have the exact same dilemma with Doom 2 lol
In the Beta there was a Muscularity slider shown but unavailable, is that still there for a female character?
Yeah... you can also pretty much shape the Boob of the female character aswell 😅 ( Height , Weight also included ) meaning how tall & how bulkier your character is... however , there is a certain Limit shown in the game... some Bosses like Toshiie Maeda look really Tall , while your Character is fixed to a certain Height even if it was the Maximum... I believe Male are abit taller than Female specially when you turn into Yokai Shift keep that in mind
@@omaralajmi1551 Idc I just want to be able to play a muscukar female
I wish it had a simpler loot system like Dark Souls.
Is this game in "chapter" forms like nioh 1 or does it have a hub world. The chapters of nioh 1 are the main reason I dropped it
Tatienou orest Same as Nioh. The map is updated but it’s still based on levels. Man you should go back to Nioh it’s an incredible game. It deserves your time. Most games have levels. Look at any Mario or Doom 2016. Nioh 2 looks even better. In every way. ❤️🦁🙏👍
Yeah I need this game... But I'm worried about the proximity of release to FF7REMAKE....that's April now right?
April 10th. Nioh releases March 13th. Seems like it should be enough time.
Your character is over leveled. But nice gameplay.
@@悪臭-p9p If you have trouble seeing it, I would recommend practicing until you do a successful ki pulse just by timing it.
I didnt even bother playinge DLC 2 and 3 because of that.

it reminds me of Sekiro
they are both set in feudal japan that tends to happen

Far from clunky and is fundamentally different from Sekiro.
The animation is clunky. Sekiro is on another level. Sekiro is a masterpiece. As a sekiro fan I don’t see nothing touching it. Waiting for ghost of Tsushima which is most likely better than nioh series.
