One thing you forgot to mention about the stances: Mid is not just a compromise between Low and High (it is in regards to stamina consumption) but it has reduced Ki damage on block. So if you need to block a lot, Mid is the stance to go...
TYRONE-sama the killer of sjw scum I don’t know what that means, but regardless I was joking. I’ve only broken a controller when I stepped on it on accident.
Start working out fellas, those testosterone defficiency are making you lose your cool. I haven’t had any urges, or even a slightest hint to get mad, even though i had to repeat the exact same boss a dozen times.
As an additional point: Never let your equip load change to yellow or red, as that will make you too slow. And in addition to this, it's worth to spend a few points in Strength to raise your equip load, to wear better armour.
In the beginning I agree with the video. You'll find new gear all the time. You won't get Blacksmith until after a couple of missons anyway and when you get it you won't use it as often in the beginning of the game since you'll find better gear all the time. That said offering is good for getting Divine rice. You can hand this in for bombs, shurikens and magic scrolls. Using these items will give you the first skillpoints in magic and ninjitsu. When you have the first skillspoints use them for consumable skills like shurikens and scrolls you can ready at the shrine that you use in turn to gain more skillpoints with a snowball effect.
神影Kamikage i was soo jealous to see most of my nioh 1 friends already on nioh 2 whereas i have to wait 20 more hours for it to be available Edit : idk y there is the time thing. Like ive preordered, ive paid, ive got it downloaded, others are playing from different regions then y cant i 🤦🏻♂️
I was the same way. I so wanted to play and love Nioh 1 and I played the beta and my friend and I played the game and I played Bloodborne and dark souls so I knew how challenging it would be. I adjusted easy to combat and leveling my character but where I got confused and eventually stopped playing was because I just never got the hang of all the other upgrade trees and skills. I didn’t know how to get points for some and others just seemed really complicated and I felt like I was just missing a big part of the game by not understanding it and eventually just stopped playing and played other games. I still watched people play Nioh and saw some builds but I didn’t go back and play it. I’m hoping this time around with Nioh 2 I’ll finally be able to get a hang of it and understand it well. People have told me that the skill tree is easier to understand in Nioh 2 compared to one. I was playing it before work but didn’t get far enough yet to know if I’ll actually understand everything this time around. I love the game though. I even love the first game. It wasn’t the games fault I couldn’t grasp parts of it. The lore and story is great. The game does look a little more colorful this time around from what I’ve seen. I got my fingers crossed though.
This game is so deep and detailed. There is just so much to the game, considering it is also an awesome action adventure it's quite impressive how deep the rpg systems go. By RPG I don't really mean role playing as much as stats and equips and game mechanic systems.
Thanks for the tips Nath! Your previous videos of NiOh helped me get through the Defiled Mountain level with the Tengu. Please do a mini series of you streaming this game and also getting the platinum. I couldnt get the platinum last time, but for the sequel I reckon I could do it.
Ninjitsu absolutely DESTROYED in the last chance demo. My go to recipe for success is light armor, Kusa as main weapon with katana as my secondary while I put all my other points mainly in to dexterity, heart, magic and spirit.
How I imagine what these games are like (Nioh, Bloodborne, Sekiro), is that every single enemy you fight is like a Valkyrie on God of War. I'm very tempted by Nioh or Sekiro but not sure if I can take the punishment.
Sekiro and Bloodborne are excellent, both feel like refreshing and refining Souls formula and taking it to new level. Nioh i didnt like at all, it felt like a mediocre copy of souls without atmosphere and design story telling, made with low resources (a lot of reused stuff like missions of previous levels), that desperately tried to feel different and took some elements from other games (Diablo-like loot for example). In the end it didnt mix well imo, it felt like these elements were tacked on and annoying.
@@ReadyAimFire_ ah, thats a shame, thanks for the heads up, I really like the look of Sekiro and Bloodborne so maybe I'll try those instead of Nioh, but then again I have them from ps plus so maybe I will take the plunge and give it a try if I'm feeling it!

15:28 This is only if you have the BRUTE yokai spirit guardian. You have to hit them while red. For FERAL Yokai SG, you have to avoid their attack, and for the PHANTOM SG you have to COUNTER their attack. Also a neat extra is that if you Burst Counter them and they are weak right after...you can press triangle and your yokai will deal massive damage instead of your human form...I don't exactly know the specifics, but i remember burst countering and pressing triangle and instead of changing back, my yokai then followed up with an extra attack. But they have to no stamina, and in yokais case, exhausted...
this the pefect game for your if you like dark souls and Sekiro, you can see so many connections between these game while Nosh2 has its signature play style. I would say, Nioh2 is similarly difficult as Sekiro, but it provides your many means/techniques to overcome difficulties if you find hard timing fighting a boss.
Rob, don’t be discouraged. I’m a long-time fan of turn-based rpgs, but wanted to play souls games. It was a huge hill to climb, but it’s doable. I never got great, but good enough to find the gameplay rewarding. 🤘
Hopefully the weapons scaling with attributes doesn't push you towards specific builds for effective combat, my favorite thing about the first was I loved all the weapons (most games I skew towards only a select few), and found each useful for different scenarios, and always kept the best of each type on my person, switching regularly.
i pressed nioh 2 help and found this video. Glad to see your friend had the same hard time as me xD . Hopefully he overcame it cause i am about to storm in rushing and kicking and dodging and all that stuff you said ! - Nice video , thank you ^^

This game seems like it has A LOT of stuff going on and it’s almost overwhelming! I’m more confused now than ever. Just the core gameplay seems difficult. I have beaten Demon Souls and The Dark Souls series but this not only looks harder than those but also has a huge learning curve. Seriously, I’m already too intimidated to try this game and this video is made as a beginners guide to help you survive the game. I might give this a try because it looks incredible but I’m not going to lie I am super confused and intimidated by the core mechanics alone not to mention the other 20 some things you have to do to master the game!
The game is trial and error but once you find what’s best for you, then it will be easier. I admit I keep one stance, mostly heavy attack, and dodge. I platinum the first one and completed both demo and did fine. I would consider myself a lower tier average player.
To be honest this is not a casual game in anyway, it is very stressful and overwhelming. This every little mistake is punished and you have to learn the game completely before even trying to progress. If the internet or RUclips didn’t exist for information people wouldn’t play this.

Geoff Baumgartner switch Glaive is all im using so far lol
range weapons are a core build kunai builds are amazing
I just almost always stay in high stance. If you want to remove a bit of complexity it IS totally possible to not be switching stances.
Kusurigama high stance melts health bars. Easily the easiest high stance weapon to clear the game even in ng+.
I took a break forgot about nioh 2 coming out this past week but here i am finally lv 93 on my first playthrough in the first one

My main question.. does nioh 2 have the same weapon meta? Are the kusurigama, Odachi, and katana still really badass?
In nioh 1 ki pulse dispelled yokai realms, probably still does in nioh 2.It's harder to pull off in yokai realm but very useful.

No, you do not have to play the first. The stories are totally seperate. This time around, the story is a prequel to NiOh1. Hope that helps.

You can tell Nathan is coming from Sekiro in this video. Horrendous Ki management.
Will there be a way to turn down the effects?
3 different settings for this framerate, movie mode and a mix of the 2
I dont understand how games like this are that hard, they just look like hack n slash beat em ups. Though Im sure it looks a lot easier on screen than it feels to actually play
Just started it, its tough. Im having more trouble in this than sekiro

It’s actually not that hard, a bit harder than the first but you’ll get through
