Don't give up. Watch a run-through, and modify your fighting style. One fighting style won't work against all enemies. In this game, you have to be flexible. Some encounters require you to be aggressive and others require you to keep your distance. Do not give up, have fun and enjoy the experience.
If you are running out of elixirs and haven’t found the kodamas that re supply them you can purchase the oasis talisman and its derivatives through your omnyo skill tree, they come back after praying at a shrine so don’t feel bad using them! Trust me, you will have so many spare elixirs that way...
I ended up stacking up a ton of elixiers farming for dwellers to craft the Sohaya Garb set so I never needed the kodama. Also I found the life leech talisman to be extremely effective in terms of healing. I feel like rejuvenation heals too slow, and oasis I believe you have to be standing in one spot. With life leech you gain hp for every hit you land. Works with shuriken and kunai for a safe distance heal. Pair that with purification talisman agaisnt a Yokai and you’ll get to full health with just a few hits.
Pro tip: for bigger enemies its often better to run outside their attack range rather than trying to dodge. You can avoid a lot of hurt this way. Its a quick way to get in and doing some damage also.
take the time to look thru your game settings: 1. you can turn on auto use locks that you pick up so you don't end up forgetting them in your inventory later 2. you can have the "take" option only display on the rarity you set it to. for example, in NG+ most people are only interested in divine gear, you set the "take" option to only display for divine so you don't end up with a mountain of lower quality gear to sort thru in your inventory 3. the default option for hotkeys is 2 sets (total of 8 items) but you can increase it up to 4 sets (total of 16) if you are the kind of person that likes to use various items
They should have let you do the "everything you need to know about" series as well.....cuz that one was really bad....which is a shame, considering the base review and this video are both informative, just and entertaining to watch
One little mistake at the end during #10, gear color doesn't equate to their weight or anything like that, It is there to indicate the rarity of an item. What indicate the weight are the icons with actual weights on them. 3 weights means heavy armor, 2 means medium while one means light armor.
i dont know about anyone else, but im finding this game alot easier then the 1st one, i maybe die 2-3 times before killing a boss and finding i can go thru a whole level without dieing, this is all solo as well. not sure where people are getting this game is super hard.
I found the first Nioh challenging but not impossible. How much easier would you say this one is? I normally hate hardcore games but I love Japanese culture so much I wanna give this one a try too.
it's probably easier because of how hard Nioh 1 was just to understand. I gave up on that game a ton of times before figuring out the systems, so I'm sure that's why I think 2 is so much easier.
@@thedanantenna i never played much of nioh. i got past the 2nd big boss (the paralyzing girl) and it was so hard i kinda gave up. went and got ds3 bb and sekiro and after them i thought i was ready for nioh 2 and boy was i wrong
put some points on other realm resistance. This can be done by taking the passives on both Shiftling and Onmyo skill tree, or tempering your armor and accessories to have other ream resistance.

Sameeeeeee😂😂
😂 it took me 2 hours to clear it first time playing nioh series
dont fight the really big boss at the start, go round him lol
You still stuck?
Don't sell gear, disassemble them upgrade the materials to highest tier and sell those. You get more of a return that way
I've been donating mine to the shrines. Haven't reached the blacksmith yet. Should have waited.

Or you can offer those unused junks, even the purple one at the shrine. Then buy as much elixir as you want from the bazaar.

Just started this game today. Reminds me of when I started playing sekiro. Ah the struggle is real!
Mitch! I miss your dark souls walkthroughs! Keep up the awesome work. By far the best IGN reviewer!
Ty just beat the third main boss and i learned a lot from this. I didnt know that you have to equip the green active skills. Tyvm
Me either
Awesome job mitch!! Very informative.👊👍
The best tip in this video is to always look up.
BEST INTRO EVER !
I totally didn’t know you could temper with accessories which you couldn’t do in original Nioh.
I really like this commentator
You can hide your helmet in the options menu. If you're low on Amrita, ochoco cups, or money grind the first stage.
And Elixir. I did the same thing in the first stage of the first game.

Very well done actually I was impressed
Great video this is going to help a lot
this game is even harder than Nioh 1 not joking
Only the first couple of hours are hard. After that it's surprisingly easy with only a few really difficult bosses
@@punani_slayer4209 right now I'm a level 30 there's this snake who is a boss I still haven't beaten it yet
@@jared4513 that boss is hard at first, but soon enough you'll beat it. If you can't then you can always just summon some visitors to help you out
It's easier. Still difficult, but it really is only the first region that's the hardest.

Well Nioh 2 has 2 in it for a reason and half if not all of these tips you should have known already if you played Nioh 1 that is.

If you grew up on Shinobi on PS2 or Ninja Gaiden on Xbox, Nioh isn't that difficult
Ninja Gaiden is a cake walk compared to this game.
just try to get through the way of the strong
What there's a blacksmith?
What in the.....
Eat Meat
I heard there was a way to pause in this one does anyone know how to do that?
