Thank you thank you, thank you. I can't thank you enough for posting this video. Because of the pandemic and the massive amount of online shopping that is going to be done on Amazon this season I decided to buy a Carrera Evolution set. It came yesterday and now I am in the process of getting ideas for tables, layout, future accessories and such. Thank you so much for the tips you posted. I'll be saving this video for reference.
Interesting idea to use a section of banked turn in lieu of the concave section of the bridge piece. I'm gong to try that if I have a future layout where I need to flatten the grade but am running out of space.
What is the size of the table you have your track on? It's a very nice layout and looks fun to drive. I really like the banked track at the bottom of the hill idea.
Great video, just building a digital track, some of your points were really helpful. Have found that the Carrera overpass bridge is great but as you said it does block some of the track and is a bit of a space hog! Will be interested to see where you relocate your pit lane too as I think there are not many single lane curve pieces that Carrera make.😎👍🇦🇺🏁
Great videos just subbed the channel. It would be great if you did a video series about how you set the track with your power supply, connections and software. This would be great for those of us like me getting ready to do a build. Great channel
I hope you still monitor your channel . I’m trying to make my own guard rails . The Carrerra ones are hard to keep on and frankly are expensive. I’ve been using card stock with small binder clips . What material did you use to make the plain white rail fence please ? Thank you .
I had an old window blind and used the slats from that. Not a mini-blind but regular one. The backside had plastic tubing screwed in to the table. They held up really well. You can buy them online if you do not have an old blind to use. blind-slats.com/products/horizontal-products/
Proxie Models, I think what you have done with your underpass is awesome! I'm thinking of using a underpass in the new track layout I'm working on. Can you tell me what size bank turns you used. Are they 2/60's and did you use one each side of the overpass in opposite direction?
They are radius 2. I try to use them in pairs oppsed to keep the angle correct. Check the newer track build video and see how they fit in the new layout.
Hi, regarding the driver display... I am interested in Smartrace software for android, it should allow racers to connect with their own phones to your main phone, and see their fuel, position, etc.
I've been looking at this as well. Smartrace letting each driver see all their info on their own device. A part of me still likes the physical driver stations, but that app does so much more.
He is running a digital setup that allows more than one car per rail as each has its own ID. This is something you need to consider when purchasing a set... do you want analogue or digital. An analogue setup can be converted to digital later, but it is usually more expensive than going digital from the get-go.
Check out my newer videos, the new track is almost done and the layout has some new features. It is a great hobby and always keeps people entertained at holiday gatherings.

I'm just getting back into slot cars after racing as a kid. I just subbed your channel.

Recently uploaded 2 videos with details about the track and wiring. It now has lights and sound!

Put a lane change in/out, 30343 or a dbl lane change b4 or after the pit.

Ok 👍 nice. How large is this layout as Careera sets are large? Track plan?
My current folding table is 6'5" wide and 14' long. The average lane length is now 86'
Great tips

How big is the table, or tables, you have set up for this?
This track is 6' wide and 18' long. The new one is smaller in table size but larger in lane length.
On your far lane coming into the pit lane. What track part did you use to get the car from the far lane across the track to pit?
www.carreraslots.com/slot-car/30351.html These 2 parts allow you to expand to an additional lane and have a digital lane changer.
You need a lane changer right before pit lane merges to help prevent more crashes otherwise awesome tips
How can you run more than two cars on the same rails

Good tips am currently collecting track pieces.... IVE GONE DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE!!!!
