    That corvette was straight out of death race 2000 staring David Carradine. Jeebus, cult classic.

    good video, thank you for posting! I agree on wanting more american cars. I have considered the 1/32 model path. Great info, and some amazing cars you have made.
    Race on!

    I watched because of that sharp Ford in the thumbnail. It looks like a 70 T-Bird, but maybe it's the rare Cyclone. Ford's were using similar pars... Torino also But at one point it seems you were calling it a 50s Chrysler... Fun cars.

      It is a plastic injected Cyclone made in our maker space.

    Youre doing what i do to achieve the car i want. Right now im trying to do a ghost busters , knight rider a-team and a mccormick cars im wanting to make an entire 80s tv show 1:32 cars.all but one will be ran on the drag strip and the one that wont is the a team van. Thats what im working on currently. Well that and a 50s plastic model i found at an estate sale. Its a 56 corvette. Talking heavy i overpower my 1:32 to do die cast cars even.

    Damn nice video. I still find the 1/32 scale models at garage sales and a few from collectors that just don't want them anymore Most 1/32 scale cars are snap together. I used to manage a hobby store years ago so finding them is not too hard. I have converted a few of them in the past to slot cars and raced them. In the future, I would love to rout out my own track.

    Wish you could buy the Carrera 1/32 digital chassis. Nice cars. I want to have NASCAR Vintage 60 - 70's. I have some 2003,,2006 evolution Dan Gurney Plymouth Winged Road runner & the Bobby Isaac Winged Dodge Daytona. Its not plug & play. Can one solder a digital chip in them ? Thanks for the info.

      I have the same cars. I just bought several #25 digital Roadrunner and the #2 Wing warrior. And switched the body's. The older nascar Torinos fit on the same chassis. I kept one of each for racing. I wish you could buy just the digital chassis. I will just store the new body's were i used there chassis.

    Nice work. I wasn't aware anyone made 1/32 plastic model kits. I was planning on doing 1/24 conversion, but since I already have several 1/32 donors I think I'll go that route first. Thanks for sharing.

    Great video. 3D printing sounds great on paper, but the realities of the current affordable printers don't match up to the hype. As an engineer designing gas turbines for a living, we have the same issue with 3D printing metal parts. By the time all the "hand massaging" of the parts is done, the conventionally machined parts end up being faster, better and cheaper.
    Eventually the technology will get there, but it will take more time.

      I am currently 3D printing prototype parts to make my own chassis for some 1/25 builds. It is nice to be able to see defects before i commit to a mold. But the support removal and lack of precision is kind of annoying. I am using the FDM printer and the parts look terrible.

    Hi. Great video! Thank you! You mention that you found "a case" of the Carrera Ferrari Breadvan" cars that you use as donor chassis. Would you happen to know where I could find 2 or 3 of these that I could use?

    One of the best custom slot cars so far, thank you for the video! I am having a hard time finding tires for them, what do you recommend?

    • @ProxieModels
      @ProxieModels  2 года назад

      I recently worked on making some of my own urethane tires using Flexit 40 urethane. I used a silicone mold kit from Hobby Lobby and made molds of the wheels that came in the model kits. They seem to look good but I have to run some laps and see how they work.

    More interested in the American cars, this is the main reason for liking the HO cars. Have no interest in the new European cars, some of the old ones are ok like jag e-type. Some of those 1/32 scale slot cars look like badly made toys. Cheers from NZ
