I kept the Xiaomi Mijia 1S model just because the app feature to mark no go zones. 1S have been cleaning my flat completely autonomous for 5 months now. And haven't been stuck or had an issue once!
Xiaomi Mijia 1C is a cheaper option. Both 1S and 1C are very similar and basically the difference with the 1S is only in the app and ability to work fully autonomous because of the better obstacle avoidance and better room navigation with more sensors. 1S has a twice larger battery and can clean twice larger area up to 100 sq meters too.
The 1c now has an experimental feature option with zone cleaning and virtual walls. Tried it a few times and it works great

Thanks very much. I saw your review before purchasing the C1. The latter was my choice because S1 was 90 usd more expensive in the country I leave (Asia). You are right on all points. I miss the area cleaning selection but not so much. It cleans at night the ground floor and the first floor when I wake up so no battery issue for 70 m2 each 2 floors. The mop on a shinny mirror-like floor works well but I added a microfiber mop to it and it works even better with no watermark. I live in a country side dusty area so strong hoover only is good for my kid but it also cleans. Important: after you buy the the C1, you easily want the robot to come back on specific areas. Then you should get the S1. For me C1 is enough... Just consider if the price difference, maybe now less, worth cleaning area control. Probably.

Thank you for this review (really, i liked it alot.). Although one thing is weird because there are alot of different values for the max area that it can clean on the internet.
1c is no problem for our house which is 75sq meters and it cleans 40m2 in 50 minutes. Its great. Mopping is decent but it will only "wet" the floor. And you can now add red zones (no-go zones)!
i have both.. the new mopping function isn't useless, it's invaluable
xiaomi C1 have a camera then why it dont have the no go zone feature?? what the camera only does?
I heard you say that the 1s never got stuck, did the 1c get stuck? Also, i have seen that at least on paper, the 1c has a better suction power. Which one does a better job for cleaning the carpets?

if the long black sensor on the front of the front has blisters, does it interfere with performance?

I think Lidar is useless. 1c's design is cleaner, the base is more compact, and the power is higher.
I heard the 1c had very bad battery and is not good for medium homes like 70 square meters! Also that it has random navigation which generally is not good. Is that correct?
Exactly. You need to pay more for Xiaomi 1S model for 70 sq m house and good navigation.
You have probably brought one now but the 1C navigation is top draw for vslam, it's close to lidar of the more expensive ones but it still cleans logically and it's not random like other bots. The battery is also perfectly adequate for 70m so long as you don't do Turbo. I have mine set to standard and it does 45sqm on around 55% battery used, so I think you would be okay on 70sqm. The manufacture claims 100sqm
@@kryless7334 thank you for the reply! Indeed I already bought one, the Liectroux c30b. I know it sounds s***y, but I am very satisfied with the battery, the cleaning results and even the mopping. For about 170€ though you couldn't expect the most clever robot, so it's kind of dumb... But eventually gets the job done well and doesn't leave any unvisited spots in my home, even though it did leave some corners for larger house of my uncle. So it's very good overall for the price so far. Thanks anyway !

1C got the feature of virtual walls and no-go zones about a month ago - I think. Turns out it was just a software feature. The choice really comes down to: 1. having your house mapped with laser (1S) or 2. just by cam and gyros (1C)

Yes - you get a code to download the Mi app. Make sure in the app you set your region to China (the China server is up, while others aren't.)

Or maybe the floor is super clean because of both robots cleaning daily..? :D
And this is one of advantages the whole house is super clean only after a few days of daily cleaning with the robot.

Xiaomi 1s better
The mi 1c have more powerful suction 2500pa, and bigger dust tank and moping feature. If you need mopping this is the best plus it cheaper too.
@@mkmd8959 I have both. Dust bin and vacuum are same.
Mop is useless unless you like to wash and dry it by hand everyday. Which defeats the propose of the robot.
But only 1s is fully automatic and can clean the whole flat never having issues, never getting stuck. Unlike 1c that requires constant supervising.
This is the main difference between the two as I have showed in the video.
