Your reviews are AMAZING !!! I've been watching a lot of your videos and i finally decided to buy Roborock S5 max. Roborock does not sell in india so it is was a little expensive but i went ahead with this purchase because of all the amazing reviews from your channel. Today s5 max completed its first vacuum + mop job. Im very impressed. Thanks for all the time you spend on these reviews. Great Job !!!
I have the Roborock E30 and I love it. It's almost flawless. Picks up everything, goes in an up and down pattern, edge cleans, maneuvers around all the furniture and little things in the floor. I couldn't imagine how good the high end models would do
I just purchased this on your recommendation. This is the second vacuum I’ve taken your suggestion on and I’ve been happy with my standup (Shark) so far. I’ve had the S5 Max for about 8 hours and I’m surprised with how much it’s picking up off my hard floors. Thanks for having an informative and entertaining channel!!
I love that vacuums nearly mastered navigation and picking abilities, that opens room for adding new features instead of just upgrading mentioned things. Hopefully we will see more dockings stations that transfer dust or maybe even docking station for mopping robot? I have lots of hard floor that could be mopped but I think that with so much space robot would have to change mop during cleanup, have steam cleaning abilities (although that battery would be huge then) or maybe a water changing system like that discontinued iRobot Scooba but with same tank integrated into docking station (5l or so, used water could be dumped beneath robot into docking station tank and fresh water would be added to the robot through the top)
It's great wished you had better researched before buying. S5 brushes are poor compared to s5 max, s6. You can swap them which is good. But they sell it expensive. Also.. No room managment.. Something which is easy for them to include but they refuse. Good device when no magnetic anomaly detected.. Which usually people start facing after 7 month of usage. I am using it for 2 years now. Still going strong. Bought few after markets accessories for it. But the s6 brushes on s5 is a must. I wonder if they shipped u with the upgraded brushes.
@@mustang.regulair s5 does have room management. Also a backup map. This update will soon be released on the official app but you can download it right now from flolevac.
@@jorn4568 downloaded this flovac app. It shows 2 firmware upgrades, but map shows just map. No ability to add no go zones or barriers. And I can't seem to find anything related to room assignment. Any video tutorial you cna guide me. Many thanks
They don't talk about electrical interference.. I love my s5, but randomly at random times, it detects magnetic anomaly, sometimes as huge as half room. Some times small patches.. And because it detects magnetic anomaly, it will not clean those area thinking magnetic stop strips are there.. Nothing you can do to clean then during those days. Some days my house is mess, other days it's super clean. I am keep g my eyes on the new mop cleaner from another company that self cleans.. Roborock has failed to give us s5 users any new software update, which it gives to s5 max, s4 and s6. Room cleaning capability. It's a simple implement, but they have refused.. Also officially their parts are very expensive. Buying cheaper knockoff parts for s5 is better, however only the newer brush that comes with s5 max, s6 are recommended. S5 brush are hard to clean ( hair removal). If you are lucky your house won't have any under ground magnetic anomaly, if you are unlucky, your house will have many wires running underground that will likes make this product useless..

@@brunofey5142 look up gearbest for deals on s5 max. And contact roborock about it as well via amazon. They generally give some 5-15 usd refund discount on parts or reviews when asked. And make sure you aren't over paying for it.
@@mustang. well I've never experienced this if it means anything to anyone. Had my s5 for a year and a half and I think is gotten stuck twice ever and it cleans PERFECTLY and I find the mop function very much adequate for just general upkeep of my house, I would pull out the swiffer for real stains. I absolutely love this thing and I would go out and buy another one tomorrow if it broke.
I bought this one. It vacuums really well. One thing I didn’t realise and that wasn’t mentioned in the video as far as I can tell: if you have a no-mop zone, and your Roborock starts a cleaning cycle including mopping, it won’t enter the no-mop zone, not even to just vacuum! I have a no mop zone near the entrance of the living room where we have a carpet, and a do-mop zone beyond that. The S5 max doesn’t travel over the carpet to mop the bit beyond the no-mop zone… You also can’t program it to mop only. It can vacuum only. Not mop only… I’m still very happy with it, but I wish I’d known these particular things beforehand.
@@VacuumWars my pleasure. Your video was a big help in deciding what to buy for my first robot hoover, so thank you! Makes my life a lot easier because I hate hoovering.
Same here, I am pretty satisfied. I did report a small "bug" in the S5 MAX operation logic, but I hope it gets fixed in the future. (about he way it handles the paths arround edges of doorframes or table legs adjacent to walls or sofas) Anyway, the first rule (for newcomers) is that before you run the S5 MAX for the fisrt time, you have to pick all thing from the floor (chairs, bins, boxes, shoes etc) so it can create a propper map of the rooms. Also, don't forget to open all the doors you want the S5 to go to in the future.
MuRReC i can’t tell because i don’t open the dirt bag in the normal vacuum cleaner every time i clean, but when i used it it sucked up so many things and it was full of dust even i cleaned the house a week ago, so i can definitely say it works perfect hope you like it too
These carefully controlled tests and you are a wonderful person for putting all of this amazing information for free. Now, we don't have to guess and pick, we can objectively get the best vacuum for our budget.
You should retest the standard S5 with the new firmware. It now supports rooms, and it is also much smarter in route planning. Over 100 sq.meters, it cut 20 minutes off the run time & still covers everything. It basically does a better job of optimizing the path, especially minimizing turns (so it gets many more straight runs). It was a huge improvement to an already great bot.
Thanks for the review, just ordered this on Black Friday discount for $380 in 2021, upgrading from a Neato D85 that just kicked the bucket after 3.5 years.
Was in the shop, in front of it, but didn't buy it until I watched your review on it on the place. Got it, and I'm so amazed about how it works! Thank you for you time doing all this impressive tests!
Hey man, since you bought one, can you tell me how well it mops? I need something for my floor mat. (I run a karate school) and I don't really care about fancy features like avoiding things or mapping. I just have a rectangle vinyl mat about 1200 sq feet that I clean daily. minimum hair/dust to pick up, but I need one that mops well. If I'm going to spend a couple hundred on an electonic mop I have to use, I might as well get something that does it for me. Edit: If I don't mop it daily, my feet are black at the end of teaching class. And a traditional mop is BLEH. Just streaks and makes my feet black even after cleaning daily.
@@AlinPopescu Thanks for the reply! I do get my school professionally cleaned once a week, but also clean it daily myself. I went ahead and got one and it works great. I spray the floor with disinfectant first and let it run. Does so much better than a mop and no more black feet!

Since I bought the S5 Max, I haven't used my regular vacuum cleaner more than maybe 5 times. And I've had it for many months now. I bought it to make my life easier and it certainly did just that. I'm 100% pleased
Just returned my Deebot 920 because it kept forgetting maps/no go zones over and over again. Thus making a mess in my house and getting stuck where it wasn't supposed to be. Just ordered the new S4 MAX since I don't need the mopping function. I'm so excited and hope that Roborock is better with software issues than Deebot.
Interesting findings. I contacted Roborock directly and they stated the S5 Max and S6 have the same exact motor and suction power rated at 2000 Pa. The dust bin is actually larger on the S5 and S6 compared to the S5 Max at 480ml vs 460ml. They also have the same battery. S6 has more lasers for better Navi, but S5 Max is better for the new mopping feature.
@@niftyniff1 Oh it's gonna be on Black Friday sale here in Poland, but check other global sites like amazon, newegg, aliexpress or your country native site of that type. Huge chance this hits sale price in your country too.
I got the S5 Max before Christmas. It is a great VACUUM robot. But it is billed as a vacuum/mop robot. It does NOT mop. At least what it does is not something I would call "mopping." It drags a SLIGHTLY damp piece of cloth across the floor. At best, you can call what it does "dusting." It gets up what little dust the vacuum cleaner misses (which isn't much). If your floor actually needs mopping, you're better off getting a Swiffer. At least a Swiffer uses cleaning solution to pick up the dirt on your floor. The S5 Max can only use water -- preferably distilled water. Bottom line: The RoboRock S4 is MUCH cheaper and vacuums just as well. Don't waste your money on the "mopping" feature. It's not worth the money.
I've read the S4 gets stuck on thicker Carpet. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Also, maybe you could spray some cleaner on the floor. Maybe just use straight water for maintenance.
Yes alot of reviews say it's not as good on thick carpet. But I read (not sure where) that there's a setting that can be changed that helps it handle thicker carpet a little better.
I recently bought the original S5 from your recommendations and I really like it so far, but one problem that is often ignored in these reviews is cleaning dark rugs. My living room has a large rug with a black and white pattern on it which confuses the S5's sensors into thinking it's going to fall off a ledge. As a result, I had to cover the sensors to make sure it could clean the rug, but realistically, this is something roborock should allow us to configure via software.
Im still using my gen1 xiaomi mi robot vac and am holding off on buying a new one until roborock makes this a feature or mine stops working. Maybe the eventual s7 will have it....maybe

I have a few doubts, if you could help me that would be great. 1. Can you leave the mop attachment on all the time? 2. If you have the mop attachment, can you just vacuum without mopping? 3. Can you just mop? 4. Does it notify you when it's low on water? Thank you!
idk why i asked this but do you have like a team or something? or are you the only one who does all this stuff? because if you're the only one doing it, the quality of this (and every other) video is AMAZINGLY impressive. keep up the good work!!
thanks for the review, order this one yesterday curieus how it will work in our home. Our neato botvac 3 died after three years and did a very well job on our dog hairs (yeah white hairs on dark floor). There are so many options in this price range and hopefully we like the product as much as you do so maybe we can make an positive review as well :)
I love Roborock... But boy do I HATE their naming scheme! You'd think that the number means a generation, and then the max is like the "pro" version for that generation. And even if that is sort of correct, then why do they make their other products so similar without discontinuing the older products! Case and point: The S5 Max and the S6 Pure both cost the same right now (US$380 with discount in Amazon, as of March 21st 2022), but they are almost identical in every way, except the S5 Max, despite being a generation older is "technically" better than the S6 Pure. If you take a look at their specs, you'd see that they're pretty much identical in every single way, except the S5 Max has an electronic water tank, compared to the S6 Pure's gravity-powered water tank, oh, and the S5 Max has no-mop zones in addition to no-go zones, while he S6 Pure only has no-go zones (despite having the mop adapter)... And if you then compare the S6 Pure to the S6, you'd see that pretty much the only significant difference, is that one ha no-mop zones, and the other doesn't (there are other differences, including performance, but they are all so good that the tiny differences in performance can be neglected if you just run the vacuum twice in heavily soiled areas)... It just seems like a way of selling the same product, 3 times, to 3 different target markets (to compete with other brands). Because as stupid and incredible as it sounds, not all customers take the time to watch a gazillion reviews from channels like this like we do, some just take a look at the one they saw, and then if they have the money say "hmmm, that one seems better, and it's more expensive, so it's probably better since it also says it has more features!". And then there's the other side, which for whatever reason, be it tight budget, or extreme money-pinching, will go with the cheapest option that they deem to be good enough.
I watchd this video and ended up buying this roborock S5 Max, i have a dog, and she shead alot, and my self, i have loooong hair, and this is the Best vacum ever ! No tangle and it get in the corner also 🙏🏽🙏🏽 it made my life easier 😂 trust me ! This is worth the money !!
Man I wish I'd found this channel before buying my Eufy 15C max. I am so happy with how it does it surprised me. I just wish I'd spent a little more and got one that maps the rooms. Seems so much more efficient
How can iRobot still have such a bad software in comparision with almost no features and poorly implementation of existing features (robot goes over room splitters for example which leads to undesired effects)? As an Roomba S9+ owner, I want to cry after seing this video :D Regarding you reviews, I'd love to see how each robot deals with closed doors, how much it goes over room splitters and how it deals with room changes. Also I'd love to see what happens when you pick up a robot and place it in another room, if it finds back to base etc. I'm really missing those tests in your videos so far.
I have the S6. Mopping feature is not great if you have little kids who spill lots of things. Still need to use a steam mop. The Roborock mop is good if you want to get a thin layer of dirt/dust off the floor.
I wonder how long it will take for the charging bases also have an auto cleaning function to clean the brushes of the robot and storage the garbage, so instead of doing maintenance on the robot you just clean up the charging base
There are a few self-emptying vacs out there. Proscenic M7 Pro comes to mind, and some iRobot model. The Proscenic M7 Pro is particularly interesting as it has some similarities to these great Roborock units.
Yup, right now, removing hair from all the brushes is a huge part of emptying my roomba. So just automatically emptying the dust bin seems pointless. But they seem to be making good progress on just not letting hair get as tangled in the first place. My e6's rollers collect so much less hair than my 655 did. And the Shark IQ has "Zero M" which is supposed to actively remove hair from the rollers.
I bought the Roborock E25 for $200 over Christmas. It's a good compromise if these are too pricey and there aren't any areas where you don't want it to go/hard to block off.
I ended up buying it Wednesday. It's awesome so far. I know they say not to put cleaning solution in the water tank but I've been doing it anyway. Great investment to control all the litter my cat leaves around the house. Of course I'll never run it on a schedule because I don't want to come home with shit smeared everywhere just in case my cat decides to get diarrhea.
The S5 Max's mopping ability is sadly lacking. All it does is drag a SLIGHTLY damp cloth across the floor. It can only use water -- preferably distilled. If you are counting on this robot to actually MOP your floors, you will be sadly disappointed. It is a GREAT vacuum cleaner. But so is the S4 -- and the S4 has a much smaller price tag. If you are really looking for a robot that mops, you will need to look elsewhere.
@@CCoburn3 I wouldnt disagree that much, I mean I think its very good as far as robot vacuum / mop combos go. but none of them are better than a dedicated mop bot yet. I didnt notice a problem with the S5 max water but I think I did have that problem on the Ilife W400 which is why I didnt review it, I need to look further into this.
Even now, almost half a year later, there's still no vac-mop combo bot out there that could do heavy duty mopping. whatever the price, so long as the bot's a combo, the mop's meant only for light duty maintenance, NOT serious mopping jobs. if mopping is REALLY that important to you, get a dedicated mopping bot instead.
You pointed out that S5 max dust bin size is 640 ml at 3:20. Did you mistake it for 460 ml, because roborock homepage is showing 460 ml which is 20ml smaller than S5 and S6?
The Roborock S5 Max unit I received several days ago has lived up to its stellar reviews. Thanks Its suction is excellent, the mopping capability is amazing as the the robots ability to manage level changes, cables, carpet fringes and other obstacles is outstanding. All round I am delighted by this unit. The Roborock app on the other hand is unstable and misses the mark on utility. If it were a stand alone product I would have returned it - yesterday. Aside from the incredibly irritating instability my principle complaint is the fact it does not support multiple maps and does not remember zone setups in a user friendly way. The app takes a great robot unit and makes it's use - irritating. A great app would have made this product completely stellar. Hopefully the missed opportunity at greatness will be captured in an upgrade.
Any thoughts of the S5 Max vs Shark IQ? Seems like the S5 Max is still better, albeit less convenient. Thank you for doing this! Great tests to help everyone get the right automated vacuum 👍👍👍
Yes please please provide your thoughts on ultimate winner between the Premium category winner of your previous video (Shark IQ) and this S5 Max that hadn't come out yet at the time of that other video. The fate of my floors hangs in the balance!
Hi, I am from Russia and I like your channel so much. Your tests are perfect. You do your job the best which I have seen at the Internet. Please advise which Roborock is better to pick up if I no need mopping option
Would be nice if they had some sort of vibration or other mode for the mop pad so it does more actual cleaning on a pass as that should mean much fewer passes and better overall results.
Got the S5 on sale from amazon over the holiday for only $360. I love it so far and I haven't busted out the manual vacuum or mop since. I still think the price is going to steer most people back to the original S5. Edit: Corrected the price.
ummm once people see how often they have to clean the brushes and empty the cannister they will pull out a regular vacuum and get the job done in 5 mins
@@db4a Not sure why they didn't call the S5 Max as S6 Max since it's better in nearly everyway than S6. Reminds me how Nokia used to name their phones nothing makes sense anymore
TheBlackAndWhiteCow I think it’s marketing. The S5 was very well received when it came out. It is even more highly regarded than the S6. So I think the company would have people think they came out with a later and greater update of the S5 model.
What's the difference between the S6 Pure and S5 max? The only thing I can see is it has a smaller water tank but charge time, sensors, battery life are all the same.
Hey guys. First of all, thanks soooooo much for all your reviews. This has become my one-stop-shop for researching a new RoboVac. Secondly, and the real reason I’m here: I’m pretty much sold on the Shark IQ self-empty. But I do love the option for mopping on this one. Which one of the two would you go with for a small house that’s mostly hardwood and vinyl?
It's cute just like all the rest, but what's not being discussed is how often you need to top up the water, and also how often you need to clean it. I just think the technology, while good is still just not quite good enough to grab my attention. If it had an emptying and refill station, so you only had to take care of it say twice a month, that would grab my attention.
Just got myself a S5 Max days ago & i'm very a VERY HAPPY owner of a botvac. it does everything it's supposed to VERY WELL, & gives me no trouble whatsoever (even the Roborock app that everyone seems to blast at hardly give me any really notable problems). if nothing were to break or give me issues in the upcoming year, i seriously swear i'm gonna recommend it to just about everyone who needs a botvac. If there's anything i found disappointing, & VERY MUCH misled by this channel, it's that S5 Max actually has a 460ml bin, instead of a 640ml one, which's actually SMALLER than the old S5 by 20ml (not that the difference matters much). i sure as wish the channel would at least rectify that in the description.
@@dennisthi7617 You could turn the mopping function off, but not the vacuum. So, while even the mop's attached & mopping function turned on, this thing would still vacuum.
I got a S5 Max and it is perfect! Really a great buy. In the video you say it has a 640 ml dust bin capacity, are you sure about that? All specs I found says 460 ml, 20 ml less than S5 and S6.
The ONLY disappointing (& being misled by this channel) thing i found about the S5 Max is that it actually has a SMALLER bin compared to the old S5. but then again, 20ml difference ain't that much of a big deal to begin, & i absolute love my new bot.
What app are you using ? mihome or the roborock one ? Is one better than the other ? Any differences ? I have just ordered S5 Max on strength of your video.
OK, slightly nutty question perhaps. I have a big open plan area with a big square rug in the middle of it. I’d like to be able to vacuum the rug and then go on to mop the surrounding hard floor all in one run. I obviously want to vacuum the rug first so that the mopping pad is clean with no water having flown through it yet so that the robot isn’t dragging a dirty damp mopping pad across the rug when it cleans it. A couple of questions occur to me in terms of whether this would be possible... 1 - Does having the mopping pad attached significantly compromise the vacuum cleaning ability on carpet (in this case a rug)? My rug is big but it’s still only about 15 sqm so I wouldn’t have any battery life concerns about forcing the vacuum to the highest possible power level when cleaning the rug. 2 - How could I zone the space? I assume defining the rug as a no-mopping area would be perfect for the mopping stage but wouldn’t give me a named area for the rug that I could send the robot to first to do its rug vacuuming before going on to the mopping. Maybe I have to let the robot map my downstairs as one huge room and then artificially partition it into rooms where I have the area of the rug marked as a room and then other rooms on all sides of the rug. I could then program the cleaning runs to first vacuum “rug room” at full vacuum power and zero water flow and then go on to clean all the surrounding “rooms” (bits of the surrounding hard floor) in a wet mode and more appropriate vacuum power. Has anyone wanted to do anything similar and done any experiments or given it any thought and come up with a workable scheme?
I've heard it performs poorly on the edge tests compared to the E5, but also noticed the E5 has a 5 bristle spinning brush while the S5 only has 3, not sure why they wouldn't keep it consistent

Same here but I still do not understand why they refuse to update their app....single room cleaning should be very easy to implement.
Many thanks
I was just about to buy as S5, didn't ever knew it was a new version coming out, thanks for the update!

The S5 max doesn’t travel over the carpet to mop the bit beyond the no-mop zone…
You also can’t program it to mop only. It can vacuum only. Not mop only…
I’m still very happy with it, but I wish I’d known these particular things beforehand.
That is really interesting. Thanks for chiming in here.
@@VacuumWars my pleasure. Your video was a big help in deciding what to buy for my first robot hoover, so thank you! Makes my life a lot easier because I hate hoovering.
This review actually convinced me to get the S5 Max.
Pretty damn satisfied with it so far, after two weeks of use.
Im buying it right now hopefully it will satisfy me too :)
Same here, I am pretty satisfied. I did report a small "bug" in the S5 MAX operation logic, but I hope it gets fixed in the future.
(about he way it handles the paths arround edges of doorframes or table legs adjacent to walls or sofas)
Anyway, the first rule (for newcomers) is that before you run the S5 MAX for the fisrt time, you have to pick all thing from the floor (chairs, bins, boxes, shoes etc) so it can create a propper map of the rooms. Also, don't forget to open all the doors you want the S5 to go to in the future.
How good does it vacuum compared to do it manually. I just ordered a s5 Max
MuRReC i can’t tell because i don’t open the dirt bag in the normal vacuum cleaner every time i clean, but when i used it it sucked up so many things and it was full of dust even i cleaned the house a week ago, so i can definitely say it works perfect hope you like it too
MuRReC i was talking about s5 max btw
I hope you are happy with it!
Are you happy with it? Looking to buy it maybe
You should be the Roborock spokesman! Man your videos are incredible, this is more exciting to me than going to a movie theatre. lol
@@MrYodaBomb I don't know if it will work for you. Looks like you need some professional cleaning, not a normal home usage

That's great to hear. Glad you are happy with it.
How often do you have to empty it? Does it give you a warning when its full??

Hello from Egypt
just got it from Ali express €332
Just got mine. Deliberated for a while since I still have a irobot 6xx series working. Worth every penny~ Thanks Vacuum Wars!
Set to max water level, and spray floors separately with cleaning solution. Problems solved.
@@noybiznatch I like that idea. What did you spray on your floors? Since it comes out very lightly on max. Mine finally came in
Loved all the details, many thanks for the time and effort you put into this test.
Just bought the S5 MAX
And I'm not even the slightest bit disappointed, we previously had an I-robot my dad bought 4 years ago.
S5 Max is my first robot vacuum cleaner and I love to use it.
I don't think they are going to do that. If you place it on the first floor; disable those sensors by accident your robot is done for.
They need to come out with a self emptying version. That would be great
Im still using my gen1 xiaomi mi robot vac and am holding off on buying a new one until roborock makes this a feature or mine stops working. Maybe the eventual s7 will have it....maybe
They wont because iRobot owns the rights to that feature. They would have to find a very creative way to do it because iRobot sucks butt.
@@kendrabollinger339 then how do shark and deebot have it?

The S5 is still a really good buy in my opinion, especially considering the price.
which is better S5 MAX or S6? i saw several issues related multi floors... does S5 Max Suppport multi floor and multi maps?
Been researching for a robot vacuums and you've convinced me to go for roborock s5 max, but will wait for thanksgiving or black friday sale.

How can iRobot still have such a bad software in comparision with almost no features and poorly implementation of existing features (robot goes over room splitters for example which leads to undesired effects)? As an Roomba S9+ owner, I want to cry after seing this video :D
Regarding you reviews, I'd love to see how each robot deals with closed doors, how much it goes over room splitters and how it deals with room changes.
I wonder how long it will take for the charging bases also have an auto cleaning function to clean the brushes of the robot and storage the garbage, so instead of doing maintenance on the robot you just clean up the charging base
that would be The 99% Perfect Robot Vacuum
Mihály Lőrincz I think 100%
S5 Max vs S6?
Thanks
Thanks a lot for your amazing professional flog as usual. moping option is important for me.
I'm planning to get it waiting for a good deal.
Bigger dustbin? What, it’s supposed to be slightly smaller than S5 - 460 ml versus the 480 ml.

You pointed out that S5 max dust bin size is 640 ml at 3:20. Did you mistake it for 460 ml, because roborock homepage is showing 460 ml which is 20ml smaller than S5 and S6?
S5 max dustbin is 460ml for sure. It is SMALLER (not bigger) than the dustbin of S5 and S6 (480ml), and MUCH SMALLER than that of the S4 (640ml).
As an owner myself, i could confirm that. it is indeed 460ml instead of 640ml.

The Roborock S5 Max unit I received several days ago has lived up to its stellar reviews. Thanks
Its suction is excellent, the mopping capability is amazing as the the robots ability to manage level changes, cables, carpet fringes and other obstacles is outstanding.

What was the point of the S6? Why not just call this one the S6?
Clicked thumbs up at the 1st second. ;) I am sure this will be a honest, detailed and objective review.
When the Mop is attached, does this only mop or can it just vacuum or does it do a combined clean (vacuum and mop)?
@@dennisthi7617 You could turn the mopping function off, but not the vacuum. So, while even the mop's attached & mopping function turned on, this thing would still vacuum.
I wasn't aware that S5 Max exists and bought S6. Still love it although it seems that S5 Max is better.
blueeyedbaer same here I didn’t know about this and I bought S6 already
I got a S5 Max and it is perfect! Really a great buy. In the video you say it has a 640 ml dust bin capacity, are you sure about that? All specs I found says 460 ml, 20 ml less than S5 and S6.
The dustbin is 460 ml, I have checked it today by filling it with water
The ONLY disappointing (& being misled by this channel) thing i found about the S5 Max is that it actually has a SMALLER bin compared to the old S5. but then again, 20ml difference ain't that much of a big deal to begin, & i absolute love my new bot.
There is a new firmware update for the s5 and it added a lot of features(no-go zone, room detection, etc) as well as intelligence on the robot.
You just gotta love that there was no "Cons" section.
I wish the app had real multi floor support. Got the S4 last month, I can only save no-go lines on 1 floor.

@@VacuumWars That's exciting!
For the comparison video maybe worth to mention, that it has no bump sensor in the laser tower.
After watching a lot of your videos....Roborock S5 Max it is! Thank you!
Well, this will be the one then. You really helped me decide :)
Hey mate. I am in the market and Can you recommend among these 3 which one to get? S5 Max $599, OZMO 950 $453 , N8 $519 N8 Pro $625
I've heard it performs poorly on the edge tests compared to the E5, but also noticed the E5 has a 5 bristle spinning brush while the S5 only has 3, not sure why they wouldn't keep it consistent
How does it compare to deebot 950?
he needs to test the 360 S5. Under $300 has all the features of the roborock S5
