I have the all black model, it is my first g shock. I have been very impressed and often it has replaced my sub when I’m in casual. I agree about the shortfalls... not sure why they didn’t add $10 and give a better light and lume.

Wow ! I remember when the Royal Oak came out I was a grad. student at McGill U. picked up a copy of the Wall Street journal and there was a full page advertisement proclaiming it. In 1979 finally got one ! I like what you did great video !
I would say this watch is amazing for modding due to the multiple colours that are available of the 2100 series. I got myself the titanium mod kit in the style of the square G and I love it. It’s perfect for me since it’s on my red 2100 so it’s a black/red combo!
I like the dail of this G-Shock concept and I would leave well enough alone myself. For me the Royal Oak add on does not cut the mustard, but to each his or her own. All the best - RKL.
Got the all black version of this watch on release. Got to admit its really hard to se the hands on it, but it's so comfy I still wear it a lot. Also if you push the 2 and 8 pushers the hands move out of the way to free the digital window. Great video as always!

Most of us aren't Millionaires. With that said Casio G-Shock=Quality, Precision, Durability Add a Quality Casioak Mod Kit that looks like an AP Royal Oak. We have our Watch. This is the Watch of our Generation. I am seeing so many crazy custom stuff being done to the Casioak. The Aftermarket Parts are getting better and better.
Check out the Bulova Marine Star in rose gold. My niece's boyfriend was admiring mine and my niece texted me from across the room saying she wanted to get him the watch for his birthday as a surprise and what was it. I told her it was an AP Royal oak. I could see her looking it up on her phone and watched her chin nearly hit the table when she saw the price. She looked at me like where did you get that kind of money. I finally came clean at the end of the night. She could get it for about $300.00 not 50 or $100,000 plus....
TGV, here's a thought; if you remove the movement (as you had the case back off anyway), you could paint the indices with a luminescent paint. I use it on firearm front sight beads to see them in low light. If you were careful and did a good job it would look stunning. There's my tuppence worth on it. Cheers!
@@theurbangentry the bracelet is excellent quality, and the simpler case shape really brings the AP vibe to life. The transition of the brushing on the side of the bezel wasn't perfect, but that's a tiny flaw. I've had a lot of positive comments both on FB groups and wearing it out, which was both unexpected and reassuring! I highly recommend. 👍🏼

I looked at these but ended up getting a couple of the smaller solar atomic AWG-M100 models for around $100 each. I haven't hardly worn any of my Swiss automatics or Eco Drives since I strapped one the G Shocks on my skinny wrists. Don't even need to take it off at night to pick up the time signal from Colorado here in Missouri. Love the mod you did on the G-2100. Have a good Thanksgiving and stay safe
I'm in love with my all red GA2100 and want to keep it all red... I kinda want to get another in black and have it modded or dabble in modding it myself. I never was a big fan of G Shock stuff, but really love the GA2100's. It doesn't want to leave my wrist and I love all of the features, as well as the look, the price, and how much of a beating they can take. The Breitling I bought myself for my birthday is crying and asking to be worn more often... but if I break a $100 watch I'm way more okay with that than breaking a $4,000 watch. hahaha

I'm so overly impressed you at the very least pronounced Audemars Piguet closely. There was another video I've seen, where the narrator calls it a an 'Order-Ma's Baguette' It's so bad it's become a joking saying amongst friends. We keep reminding each other to order more ma's Baguettes. But thank you for the hard earnest work, it's highly appreciated. Your videos are a breath of fresh air, among the plethora of uninspired ones.
Wow! Very cool mod! People will stare at your wrist multiple times just to check whether it's a real RO or imitation. But in the end, it's a real (but) CasiOak. Good video!
You can move the hands out of the way of the screen by pressing the top right and bottom left buttons and holding them for a second. This will then revert back to normal positions after a few seconds
I just got the red Casioak as my first ever G-Shock and absolutely loving it. Great size for my small wrist, uber comforatable and light. Probably a watch I enjoy wearing most!

LOVE IT!!! I have the Gen 1 and Gen 2 versions. The Gen 2 is so much better. Only issue is I'm caught in between links; add one link and it's too loose, remove one link it's too tight. I got a spare leather strap, I may try to hack it up. As for the watch it's self, I have the Yellow aka Bumble Bee. I really like the Day indicator, looks like a faux small seconds sub dial.

While kind of mimicking an AP it’s obviously to everyone not an AP, and thereby a matter of snubbing the snobs rather than being some poor homage/copy watch. That’s kind of fun... Not quite to my taste as I’m not that keen on quartz watches with analog displays. With a few exceptions off cause. But with this funny mod it’s kind of the whole point😊 Keep up the good work👍
I have the gen 2, and I must say the finishing is outstanding, most surfaces are brushed and the new angular bracelet elevates the conversion to a whole new level!
