    Great stuff as usual, but you missed Sakakura. It’s a Japanese restaurant hidden in the basement of an office building on 43rd street. Very cool and definitely worth a visit. Thanks for your videos.

    The door to the Knickerbocker was cool never new that. And I'm a life long New Yorker. The Cuban resteraunt Margons between sixth and Broadway. I used to go there 25, 30 years ago. I worked around the corner 1177 6th Ave. Food was awesome then. I'm sure still is. Great stuff about my beautiful city. Keep up the great work..

      Just for the record Margons markets itself as Cuban cuisine. They're are really Dominican. And other than the Cuban sandwhich most of the food is dominican. Doesn't matter still great food.

    In 1997 they lifted the entire theatre and moved the Amc theatre's to the current location where it's located now. I remember it making the front page of the newspaper. I remember it took hours

    I noticed the ceramic art from the first time I went to Times Square because I got lost inside the station hahahaha
    And the Broadway map in Duffy Square I saw it in a cold January morning in my first year in NYC, when the NYE tourists are gone and one can see Times Square almost empty for a few days.

    Good stuff! I only knew about one of these, that weird noise coming out of the grate. The theater is super cool! So glad they left some of it original. I bet most people figure it's new made to look old & they have no clue.

    Love the history of NYC especially history in the 1800s and early 1900s read about the Triangle Shirtwaist factory fire that happened in 1911 have to look up what street it was on thanks for the brilliant info will subscribe

    I have seen those murals before in the subway. I had a subway tour and they, actually, showed us the knickerbocker entrance. Thanks for posting!! 🙂

    Love this! I've been using Atlas Obscura to find all sorts of hidden gems in NYC. My fave one is a murder well from 1799 (that's sort of hinted at in Hamilton!). It's inside, of all places, a very high end clothing called Cos down in Soho.

    This was good. As a Native New Yorker, you should have mentioned that the AMC Theater was actually moved, that is the entire building, from one end of the block to the other a few years ago. This was done to save the building from the wrecking ball. Glad it was saved as well. The building, now off 8th Avenue, was originally closer to Times Square. Another part of New York History. I remember watching them physically moving the building. Was something to see.

    I’ve watched the video after Romina’s. I had to visit the theatre. The artwork in the Times Square subway I remember seeing it when I transferring trains. If you hadn’t seen it, check out the artwork at the 14th Street stop on the 8th Avenue line. Amazing sculptors.

    the cuban place, has one of the best cuban sandwiches in NYC, all of their food is great. I used to go there with coworkers when we had time between shows we worked on

    AMC 25 : Today, the theater is one of the centerpieces of the revitalized 42nd Street but it doesn’t actually sit in its original location. In fact, the whole building was lifted from its foundation and moved 168 feet westwards in 1997.

    I passed by Times Square recently in the afternoon & too my surprise there weren't many people there. I have never seen that in all my years living in New York. The first thing I thought of maybe it was due to the Coronavirus?
