As far as Krispy Kreme original glazed you have to have it warm. When the sign is lit it means they’ve just been made and are warm. They literally melt in your mouth. Great video as usual 🍩 😊
Some thing I just realized about your channel. It’s diverse. The people you have with you it’s diverse. It’s refreshing. I didn’t realize it until I watch the channel that is most often not the case with others
Thank you for this video! We came to NY a little over 3 weeks ago to see Phantom & stayed in Times Square. We had to try Margon based off your recommendation. It was amazing! We were offered empanadas while we waited on our Cuban’s to be made. Everything was delicious. I watched many of your videos in preparation for our trip. They were extremely valuable in helping us to plan & have a great New York experience during our visit. Thank you for all your content!! Keep up the great videos. 😀
If you're ever in Minnesota, try Duck Donuts at Mall of America. They're like Krispy Kreme but better, made hot and fresh and with tons of flavor options. They disintegrate in your mouth and are amazing.
Once again Jon, you made hungry just when I'm about to hit dream land. A lot goin' on with that Cuban Roll, very nice. And thanks for featuring Jollibee, proud to be Pinoy. Nice another good collab w/ Actionkid.
To be fair, I feel like AK is a tourist. Having been born and raised in miami, to hear things like “Versailles is a staple” shows he doesn’t know where the majority of the locals go. Now living in New York, I can say without a doubt there is no Cuban food as good as miami.
Just got back from New York and below are my highlights in no particular order if it helps anyone….. 1. Brooklyn Heights and promenade 2. Brooklyn Botanical Garden 3. DUMBO 4. The Highline 5. Little Island 6. Joes pizza at the bottom of Times Square 7. Central Park 8. Summit One building 9. Circle line night time cruise. One tip on this…..do not get in a taxi who will be waiting when you get off. They were quoting $45 to get back to Times Square. Uber was $18 and there within 10 minutes. We stayed just off Times Square and had a flight leaving around 9pm. We were conscious of the volume of traffic leaving the area and getting back to JFK. After a bit of research we got the subway to Forest Hills which was $2.75 each. We then got an Uber from Forest Hills to JFK which was around $28 and took around 20 minutes in rush hour. Another top tip, if you see a toilet use it. They can be very few and far between. I hope this helps someone.
Excellent video Jon! I always love this style.😊 Apparently I need to try Jollibee when I'm in NYC next, because when I had it in Las Vegas last year I wasn't impressed...but I'll try it again! 🙃 -also, congrats on 300k!!
Just visited NYC for the first time and we tried Los Tacos No 1 not once but twice. The one off Broadway and the other down by Grand Central Station. Omg… delicious 😋 We also tried Bleeker Street pizza per your suggestion, again delicious 😋
Jon, nicely done as always. Hey, I hope you brought home some original glazed to Adriana. :). Anyhow, if they had a jolibee here in south Florida there would be lines around the corner. Everything looked really good and considering Manhattan prices it doesn't break your bank. Keep up the good work, I'll be watching. Your friend Mike.
Just came back to the Isle of Man from New York. I felt everything was expensive compared to where I live. The best food I had in my week there was from Zeppola Italian Bakery foe their bacon egg sandwich. $11.76 incl tax. So much so I went there twice. Watched your videos before I went and still did some touristy trap moments like Empire State building. You helped me avoid the scammy monks and the sweaty Mario and Luigis. I walked 118km in 7 days around New York. Feet hated me, but would never had seen as much as i had. Chelsea Market you suggested was amazing too.Keep up the great videos.
Once again another superb Food Tour video. No one else does these type of videos so well. I know you're not the biggest fan of Times Square and it's Tourist Traps but you seemed to enjoy that day of eating. Can't wait to try Los Taco's NO 1 in April (we are staying in Times Square) and Krispy Creme's are hard to beat. Good to see Action Kid again and also to see Ben's love of Jollibee. Good work as usual Jon. I am sure people will visit these places on your recommendations.
As a resident of Winston Salem NC, THE BIRTHPLACE OF KRISPY KREME, I absolutely most positively recommend you MUST get their original glazed doughnuts when the neon sign says they're HOT & READY! You ain't had the full Krispy Kreme experience without a Hot & Ready Original glazed (with a side of coffee)! 🍩
@@HereBeBarr Be sure to check their website to see their hours of when Hot & Ready doughnuts are available, then make sure to get a box of dozen (or half a dozen) of em right off the line.
Love Margon, thanks for including it in your review. Trivia: that street, W. 46th, was where they filmed the iconic scene in "Fame" with the students dancing in the streets. The High school of the Performing Arts was on the block before it merged with the High School of Music and Art to become LaGuardia School of Performing Arts at Lincoln Center.
I love Krispy Kreme Donuts. I just never find the time to actually go and get them. I always get flashbacks of when I got a dozen before work and nearly made myself sick lol.
Just wanna say we arrived back in England from NYC last night after running the marathon. We ate at Adele's cart, Royal Halal, and Sarge's, plus shared a cronut from D. Ansel's bakery - all on recommendations from you. Thanks ! (Think I need to run another marathon now).
So happy we are coming back to New York again next month, really like how your video shows each area what to do and what to eat. I put so much places and eating on my list from your videos.
Margon may the king of the Cuban sandwich in Manhattan, but as a Queens guy Jon, I stay Rincon Criollo strong. Regardless of my preference, I have to praise Margon for what's pretty much coffee on steroids. Great video as always.
Schnipper's on 8th across from the Port Authority. I love their Sloppy Joe and fish tacos. Also Steamed Bun on 8th Ave and 49th street is amazing. We have started going to 9th avenue and it's just one restaurant after the other. Mom's on 50th and 9th is our favorite. Lots of great food, like the fried chicken sandwich and fun pancakes!
The Cuban and the Taco I might try but Jolie bee and Krispy Kreme, that's not New York. I tell you what we don't have in the UK, Arby's perhaps you could swing by there and show us how it's going. Don't get me wrong you're a legend. I've picked up so many nuggets for my forth coming trip. Looking forward to trying an espresso soda and some fresh Egg nogg, for the holidays.👍
There's a Jollibee in Regina, Saskatchewan. I've never been in there, but now seeing this video, makes me want to check out the food sometime! The peach mango pie sounds good! Those oreo donuts at Krispy Kremes looks amazing!
Definitely Krispy Kreme, they melt in your mouth when hot. Dunkin's Donuts come frozen. There is a big difference between the two. The coffee is significantly better at Dunkin though.
I live just a few blocks from Times Square so it's very nice to see Margon and Los Tacos on this list! Great choices to go to and I would love to recommend visiting The Playwright Tavern on 49th street, right off Times Square, for their Onion Soup and James Joyce Burger. They are absolutely killer in my opinion!
Ohh krispykreme was one of the first spots where I had to go when I arrived to nyc I love it so much :') pls try the glazed rasperry filled, it is the best😍btw if you buy the big apple donut they celebrate it with shouting and clapping, quite funny😅but the donut itself is not the best and it's really pricey so I'd stick to the original glazed ones😌🍩🍩🍩
What got me was the Cuban sandwich. I would love to try that. So much meat in that sandwich. Also, we have 3 Jolibees in Edmonton. I still have to go there in the future. We do have Filipino community here and I heard people talking about this place. Thanks for sharing this video. It was awesome to see you collaborate with Action Kid, once again. Cheers! 👍👍✌️
A John-Kenneth collab (with Ben of course) always wins! I usually avoid Times Sq but now I’m having second thoughts. Los Tacos is a definite must try! Uh, I’ll pass on Krispy Kreme tho.
Thank you for showing Margon! I lived in South FL for years, but when I tried Margon's Cuban I knew it was better than any Cuban I've had in my entire life.
Born and raised in miami and I’m sorry to hear that. But even margon does not make a proper Cuban sandwich. In fact it looked closer to a medianoche because of the bread

Legit the only thing in time square worth getting are those warm melt in your mouth Krispy Kreme donuts
I honestly prefer Krispy Kreme when it isn't warm. The taste is 100% better when warm, but I like the texture more when the icing isn't pure liquid.
Some thing I just realized about your channel. It’s diverse. The people you have with you it’s diverse. It’s refreshing. I didn’t realize it until I watch the channel that is most often not the case with others

I was a DD fan, but after trying Krispy Kreme, I'm hooked. They are truly addicting! And ( thanks to you ) I go often to Los Tacos No. 1. 🙂
I was born in NY but went to the south every year growing up and was hooked on Krispy Kreme. Dunkin'could never compare.

Great Video....as always. I miss seeing Actionkid in NYC. Miami is boring and way to pretencious compared to New York
Yeah I cancelled actionkid when he moved to Miami, boring vids now
he is back in New York. been posting a lot. he was just live a hour or 2 ago
Miami is not for walking actionkid needs a boat.

I will never pay 11 bucks for two pieces of chicken lmao that's insane
Obviously you have never had Jollibee then.
@@Tazza81 no is it good ? Never tried it
Chicken has gone up 35%, 🤕
@@Kai-ik9of It's not bad chicken 🍗 though had much better fried chicken for cheaper elsewhere 👌🏾 The fries 🍟 in Jollibee are nasty!
You must live in middle America (no shade…love those states). In CA right now that would cost $18 easy.
Always so good to see you and Kid together again!
Excellent video Jon! I always love this style.😊 Apparently I need to try Jollibee when I'm in NYC next, because when I had it in Las Vegas last year I wasn't impressed...but I'll try it again! 🙃

Los Tacos no.1 is a MUST !
There is a Jollibee on Michigan Ave and now I need to go in there and try the chicken
I used to work a block away so Margon was the lunch stop
5 bucks a taco? and 5 bucks a piece of chicken! thats a steal!
I like Ken, he’s a great collab
Remember when a block away in every direction from TS a Cuban eatery gave you rice, beans, plantains and choice if meat for $5.
Being from the Miami area, I was disappointed with New York Cuban food. I’ll have to try this place.
