I laughed as soon as I saw Joey Roses' - walls decorated with RCA CED discs! Never seen that done before and it's a total throwback to the early 1980s 😆
Great content and I love your videos. Really clear and sharp videos too. Better than many shows I have watched on the food network!!! Keep growing. Best wishes from NYC. 😉💐😊💐
I love Bolivian Llama Party. They used to have a location in Columbus circle I would go to all the time. I really miss it. Last time I was at the queens location I stocked up on frozen salteñas to make them at home since its too far out of my way now.
When we there in Nov, the 99c slices were life savers for little snacks to keep us going. Yea, they're not the best, but grab 2 slices and you're on your way.
I can't fight with that Hainan chicken rice from Gai Kitchen! Looks so good and all for $650. Almost unheard of nowadays in big cities. sometimes even smaller and mid-size cities, too, if they even serve that!
Heya! Any suggestions from where to buy gifts or souvenirs in NYC? It would be nice to make a video regarding this too, just a suggestion? Especially for Winter/ Christmas
Salads at some food carts! After paying $8 for a “side salad” that literally consisted of a few mixed green leafs and “luxuriously” (my description added for sarcasm) also included a few grape tomatoes, at a restaurant, I honestly preferred picking up side salads at food carts in Astoria, in Queens. There are more than one of them along Steinway Street. Even though they might not advertise it as “luxurious“, their side salads are $2 dollars, and included (besides only simply grape tomatoes), (if you are interested): you might get onions and cucumbers as well.
Bolivian llama party has moved locations so often that I thought they were gone. That 1.50 fresh pizza is right by my office, and I used to go there all the time, except now they constantly run out of pizza. 9 times out of 10 when I pass by, they are out. There's another one (same company) a few blocks away that is less busy and actually has more room to eat in and I go there if I have to wait for a train. Also, their slices are smaller than everyone else's dollar slice. But they have more butter in their pizza, at least that's what it tastes like, and it's good.
Greetings from Los Angeles I absolutely enjoy watching your videos, my wife and I will be traveling to NYC soon question what’s the name of the guy who does food tours? can you please direct me to his contact info thank you 😊
Every time I watch u .. im starvin .. see I love street food.. and yes I know your loyal to NY but did u not say ur going yo Mumbai India.. ohhh yeeaah😂😂😂❤❤❤❤
I'll keep an eye out for spots that are cool with this. Would be tough to be a dedicated video but a mention from time to time (like i do for my vegans/vegetarians sure)
Just arrived at NYC upper west side for a week of sightseeing. Thanks for the info! BTW for a beginner spanish speakers which barrios have legitimate latino foods etc?
I saw that $2.55 cheese burger in another of your videos, and my first thought was that they reminded me of White Mana's burgers (I'm from LI, and a friend from Lodi, NJ brought me there once).
I can share from personal experience that the $1.50 slice is not good. There are many other $1.50 slice ships around the city that are also not good. The original .99/$1.00 spots actually had good pizza. This is similar to bad, frozen pizza. Or, school cafeteria pizza.
Barbara it's SABRETT's onions in sauce "Pushcart Style" and it's magic ! It's sold in glass jars with blue & yellow and red & yellow writing. It's sold in supermarkets in NYC, NJ & CT for $4 of $5. If not try Walmart.
It’s a shame almost all these places are in Manhattan. Will rarely come into contact with these places if you live and work in the other boroughs, especially the breakfast stuff.
It’s not a shame for you actually . There’s people living in the Midwest and rural parts of the country that can only dream of having the variety of NYC and will actually fly into NYC for the food. So a subway ride should be easier for you
Hold On, Pastrami Shop, Muslim Owner, is it Halal Friendly? I wasn't able to find Halal Pastrami or Bagels on my last trip! Would be nice if u did a video on Essential New York Food, Halal edition, most Halal food i found in New York was let's say ethnic Food, middle eastern, Indian, African, Food that is New York or American for that matter and Halal was a far cry in Manhattan. Thanks in advance. There is a lot to look at, New York style Pizza, Halal Hot Dog a lot of Carts have, Halal Bagels, American Italian Food, Creole Cuisine, a lot of exploration can be done to find Halal non ethnic food.
Steam buns in soya sauce? Coming from asia, nobody around here does this unless its the ginger vinegar with soupy xiao long baos. Soya sauce with steam buns is a no-no

We loved Joey Roses went twice on our 5 day trip to NY thanks for the recommendation...We are returning in April so will definitely try some of these
Nice angle and advice. Thanks. Never a cheap trip but I can not stop visiting NYC. This helps a lot.
All so amazing!! In an ever more crazy priced economy these people are godsends
I remember Gray’s Papaya from a Matthew Perry movie from the late 90’s. All of these meals look delicious.
Just watching this video makes me hungry 😋
Wow. Quality of your videos is insane. So great to watch. Love from UK x

In the 80’s you couldn’t beat Gray’s Papaya for the money.
They hate Republicans. Only go there if you are a communist.
Anyway Papaya King is the real one, and much better!
Xin Fa Bakery egg tarts, one for $1.75 or 6 X $10.50, which still comes out to $1.75 each, no special if you buy 6.
I'm happy joining with your eating food💘💘💘💘
Chile verde de Hatch en una hamburguesa es la bomba, baby 🍔!!!
subbed & subscribed. Props to you Barr, well done
Love from ireland barr! Hoping to get a j-1 visa and move to NYC soon!
I would rather be in Ireland than NYC.
@@bigmacdaddy1234me as well. NYC has turned into a complete shithole thanks to dems.

I’m from rome, Italy I miss a lot nyc I hope to return soon🫶🏻
Would love to do food review videos with you folks.
Chinatown has bargain food prices but it's cash only. Those breakfast sandwiches look so good but my son is a Starbucks LIC guy.

I had that $0.99 pizza back in JUuy, hot and super fresh pretty good for the price!
def graded on a curve, the value for the price.
I suggested on another NYC channel, but was wondering if you could also do a video on best dog friendly spots in NYC.

How can these restaurants afford it? Do they own the building?
Thank you for the valuable info! Any of these places cash only?
Commenting for the algorithm
how much woukd you expect to pay at adel's these days? the prices online seem to be almost doule what jon said in a relatively recent video

Joey's got a couple of goods I'd like to try out. I'd even pay more than $10 for the taste test.
Bolivian llama party is good, but they need to deep clean inside their restaurant and kitchen
Liked 👍
