I love Richard's soul. Lonely, hates spotlights, sincere, transparent, simple, loves just being in that tiny room, humble. Almost perfect human being. The only thing is that he is still human😁.
I'm sure he's a nice guy but if he was a perfect human being I don't think his wife would have confined him to the basement to play his drums.

Spot on with his comment of Keane are successful because the songs relate to everyone in the band and to all of us who follow Keane. I only started listening to Keane around a year ago, and once I discovered the story of how they were mates from a very very young age, made music, about their young lives , became known to the world, had the minor split then regrouped with the music that Tim wrote during his troubles made Keane for me a really really special group. I listen to the words far more than I ever did. Thank you.
Adrian Brown Well said. And so many people nowadays tend to not really listen to the lyrics anymore, whereas it’s such an enrichment of the songs, espessially on albums like this.

Bueno, esta es mi oficina es un poco chica muchos recuerdos para recordar viejas canciones. Puedo tocar canciones que no hemos tocado por años, pero el problema es que está bien aquí pero si pones 5000 personas aquí pude cambiar, tienes que tener mucha confianza, así que sí, tenemos que ensayar a veces. Somos muy autocríticos como banda, creo que eso se interpuso en nuestro disfrute mutuo y del proceso porque sabes que cometes un pequeño error y realmente te enfocas en eso, mientras que ahora un concierto no es un concierto sin que alguien haga algo que funcione. Esto es música en vivo. No hago otras bandas ni otros conciertos, pero creo que lo que hago funciona con la banda, estoy antes de que empezáramos a grabar. No he estado en el estudio durante mucho tiempo, así que quería estar seguro de que conocía los discos, ya sabes, todas las canciones de dentro hacia afuera y también las que tenía. Dos o tres ideas para que cada una las lleve conmigo. Así que pondré mi teléfono en cualquier batería que no esté golpeando y cuando toco suena bastante bien. Así es como conectamos con la canción porque las canciones que escribe Tim también significan algo para mí. Y siento que siempre ha escrito canciones que quiero decir, creo que tenemos éxito como banda porque las canciones que escribe son identificables y las personas que las escuchan las aman, obtienen algo de ellas y eso me incluye a mí. Estar en la banda y extrañar a los chicos, sabes que extrañé colgar. Salgo con ellos y siento que cuando volvemos a estar juntos, se siente muy familiar. Para todos somos un poco mayores y todos tenemos un poco más de experiencia en la vida. Todos tenemos hijos. Todos hemos lidiado con cosas, ya sabes. Nos apreciamos un poco más que antes. Creo que nos hemos tomado el uno al otro hubo más experimentación en este disco, así que creo que eso significaba que confiábamos en los oídos del otro más que nada. Por lo tanto, tener confianza para probar cosas y sugerir cosas que antes eran casi su departamento se convirtió en el de todos. Es un desafío, creo que Tim como compositor debe escribir cosas que sean relevantes, pero luego todos amamos a Bruce Springsteen, Paul Simon, David Bowie y personas que están escribiendo música vital y relevante hasta los 60s y 70s y todavía, ya sabes, creando cosas nuevas. Así que no hay limite de tiempo para la creatividad.

I love Keane too. Tom’s vocals are angelic, Tim’s songwriting and lyrics are just beautiful, Richard’s drums are so imaginative and different and Jesse’s bass is to die for. What’s not to love?!
