I don't think any of us appreciated them at the time after Suede. This is still one of the best songs I have ever heard. This song is better than everything Suede did in the next 20 years put together. Bernard is a true genius and David has an amazing voice. Even if you just listen to Stay Together and this you have to put BB into an elite group of UK musicians and song writers. This is phenomenal playing.
Amazing. Saw this once, way back when it actually happened (on actual TV)...and NOW, 2020!?! Still sounds and looks great. Makes the 21st century look like shit. Brilliant...
A kick ass version of probably one of the greatest "f*ck you" songs ever written. The drummer is having the time of his life on this one. Anyone notice, it's one verse repeated twice? Simple but effective.
Arrived here via Terry Miles, how on earth are they not a household name I don't know, this is music at it's best, the sort of stuff that keeps you alive....
This song really should be more iconic. Maybe its better that it flies under the radar a little, but it really is a fine, fine exhibition of pop writing. It is perfect.
One of my favourite songs of 95 - stunning vocals - and Butler is a brilliant guitarist. Would love these two to get back together and re-do this - tour even, come on guys!
This just proves that Butler provided the soulful and electrifying element to Suede. After he left Suede, they just didnt have the same impact anymore.
If ur looking for hits. Then theres Yes/You Do/Fallin'. Nothing can top those singles. However McAlmont & Butler are more than a 'pop' and singles act. Their albums diverge into jazz-rock-soul-funk. Go check it out. You wont be disppointed. 95- The Sound Of Mcalmont & Butler 02- Bring It Back
This is in the top 5 songs of all time no debate. So underrated.
I'd never heard it before they just played in radio 2. It's great. I must have really been messed up in 95 to miss
Definitely can't argue with that !we all were ! 😉

When I saw who was playing the drums, I was amazed ! Never seen a Asian play it but he knocked it out of the park !!!
Arrived here via Terry Miles, how on earth are they not a household name I don't know, this is music at it's best, the sort of stuff that keeps you alive....
Absolute genius! Love the strings.
What a voice
I love ‘Falling’ by these guys, it’s just mind blowing, mind you McAlmont & Butler produce pure magic whenever they get together
Butler - total class
Don’t know how I sort of forgot about this absolute banger. reminds me of being in my bedroom as a teenage boy.
I heard this song years ago it's always stuck in my head. Must be good;)
Hadn't heard this live version before, but it has power...good vocals too...
This song really should be more iconic. Maybe its better that it flies under the radar a little, but it really is a fine, fine exhibition of pop writing. It is perfect.
Very good live version!
outrageously good.
One of the best songs of the nineties. So good it sounds like it’s a sixties song (intentional I know).
One of my favourite songs of 95 - stunning vocals - and Butler is a brilliant guitarist. Would love these two to get back together and re-do this - tour even, come on guys!

Could well be as Mike Hedges produced the album A Design for Life and this song
Thought his voice sounds like dusty Springfield.

There are so many interesting things happening on stage, it's a shame MTV had to ruin it with all the weird pans and zooms.
Sounds so good. Cut the clip and edit out that presenter
Almost too good.....how can you follow this up????

Oh why don't they keep going, loved them
I bought the LP - sadly, this track is the only really great moment.
If ur looking for hits. Then theres Yes/You Do/Fallin'. Nothing can top those singles.

In March 2024 Cokes started a weekly Saturday night live radio show in Germany. Interesting read on Wikipedia
