    I love the fact you show how to do it you actually try to help people unlike others.. so after I try and when I fail I'll know who to send them to. Lol

      Lol that was a good laugh. We want to be more educational and have people understand what they're getting and even help those get their own services or installs done. But if you ever need anything else at all, please let us know.

    This reminds me of when I rebuilt my sons mountain bike RockShox. I had to put different weight oils on each side of the fork.

    Hi, quick question are the fox 2.5 coilovers with bar bin serviceable? [FOX 883-02-132] I want to service the bar bin and replace for a spherical uniball bearing and want to know if it's possible? I ask because there are to types of coilovers with the same part number but different bottom mount and want to know if it's interchangable. Please and thank you.

    Great video, very helpful. Are you pushing the ifp all the way up or is there a set depth and where do you find the info on the depth?

    • @ShockSurplus
      @ShockSurplus  2 месяца назад

      there is a set depth, which measure where it sits before it comes out of the shock (set by fox), so we can reset it there on the rebuild.

    Can you guys do RC vertex shocks? They have a great warranty but state they only last 60k miles

      unfortunately we'll probably never review Rough Country at this pace, too many other projects in the queue with our preferred partners

    I have a leak between the end cap and shock body... is that threaded? Can it be fixed with a new seal?

    • @ShockSurplus
      @ShockSurplus  Год назад

      sometimes the shocks 'weap' where oil gets trapped and pushed out on assembly. Clean it up, and if it leaks a lot more, than its an internal seal issue that needs replaced.

    What does a shock rebuild/service cost? Does it vary based on the brand. IS the cost per shock or a pair?

    • @ShockSurplus
      @ShockSurplus  Год назад

      The price is all the same for the size of the suspension so like 2.0 are priced all the same then 2.5 are priced the same and etc. You can see the details here: www.shocksurplus.com/pages/shock-service

    • @ShockSurplus
      @ShockSurplus  Год назад

      Yup, they are off the back of Jeff's second-gen Tacoma. He's running the Archive Garage towers, so these are a 12" travel smooth body universal Fox 2.5.
