I'm curious the round hole in the ceramic tile was not closed up. Won't the moisture from the shower cause mold and moisture damage inside the wall? How should that be properly sealed up?
Appreciate the content. How about some texture to that drywall, that's going to stand out. It seems an access panel would provide the best approach for any access in the future, good luck to the next person that might try to get access back there.

Do you silicone around a shower tower?
What is the thread type for the connection to the tower? FIP, NPTF, other?
