Quick tip: Run a bead of silicone around the hole behind the shower in a triangle formation. Any water that may run down the back wall will run down and around the silicone! Cheers.
Installed this model in one side (MY side) of a large 5' x 6' his and hers shower that I built as a pandemic project, having ripped out a huge tub that we never used. Love it. I regularly inspect the hole that the hoses pass thru via an access panel. No water or mold. Only problem I have had is too much flow! Without the flow restrictor, the body sprays shoot all the way to the other wall! I found that the proper wall height mounting for me is about eye level with the temperature display. Anyway, so far, so good. At least a couple of years now.
I bought these same exact units from Amazon for about $280 a piece. One unit arrived a little smashed up at the top but I took pliers to bend it back... good enough and both units work great after installation! This video was invaluable for gaining the confidence to install them myself. I did have to hire a plumber to install new shut-off valves. Easy peasy!!
You paid way way to much. I've installed at least 20 of these and usually pay between $115 and $140 depending on the model. After installing a bunch I like Ello and Allo

Just curious, why not create a recess box that you can waterproofed with your hot and cold connections similar to a laundry supply box? wouldn't that solve the problem with a hole in your back wall?
When I had one of those installed, they just installed 2 threaded fittings out of the wall at the top of the panel. Don't have to worrie about water getting in the wall through a hole that way. Then just extend the hoses down the wall behind the panel.
Great video. This is EXACTLY what i needed. Im renovating my bathroom and installing a shower tower like this. Great tip on installing the blocking to hold the mounting cleats. I never would have thought of that.

Can you add a tower to a tub surround that is installed directly to studs? I have access to frame behind where the shower will be installed.
Excellent video. Installing this tonight. Thx!
Does it need electricity, is top of the shower open, can i get hot and cold water pipe through top?
Is there anything that can be added to the exposed metal to prevent accidental injuries? Some sort of mouldings or something like that
Great video...lots of tips, but straight to the point. Thanks, you saved me a lot of time!
Do you need a very high pressure for this or normal
Is there the option for a diverter and how would you add this feature to a bath tub/shower set up.
Another great video! Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I always wondered how these get installed. We have copper plumbing so I dont think it will be as easy.
Just go from copper to pex, then you can follow the video.
