I bought a 2004 TL new in 2004. Kept it until 2012, sold it for $5000 with 235,000 miles on it. Then bought a 2008 with 15,000 miles on it, which has 208,000 and runs like new. Regular maintenance is all I’ve ever done. This model was probably the best car Acura ever made. Best factory sound system of any car I’ve had over the last 40 years.
Still have my 06 TL with navi and A-spec kit in black. Currently has 150K miles. It's in the shop right now. Had motor mount issues, leaky power steering pump and valve gasket needed replacing. I plan on keeping it as long as I can. Still a great looking car with the A-spec kit.
@@trenchfeet9457any luck finding it? You can buy the front bumper from the dealer and the rest from 2nd hand, people or junkyards. Rear bumper is the hardest piece to find
Last month I got a 07 TL Type S. 191,000 miles. Silver manual transmission. I fucking love it. For 7,000$. I’m so happy just going to work or taking my family out on weekends in it. It really is the funnest car I’ve had. Aside from my 63 impala. Me and my girlfriend did the oil today in it. Went with royal purple. ❤
I owned a 2006 TL, and loved it. But due to growing family and needing something practical, I got the first gen RDX 2011 with SH-AWD and love it. When the car market cools down though, I decided to get a 2007/08 TL Type S but it has to be Kinetic Blue. Glad to see others loving the Type S as much as I do.
Looks like the Clazzio seat covers? They are not cheap dude! You’re correct, greatest sleeper daily ever. Dont matter if auto or manual, this car is a legend! You can fix it with a hammer
I never had the type s but always the regular tl. Im thinking of getting one and drive it as a daily. I love the regular im so excited on getting the type S
Yo man I’m like tryna get into cars & would love to start with this one, is this the type of car that I could find at just any typical dealerships or no ?
You can still find these cars at smaller dealerships across the US. You can find them on Facebook market listings from dealerships and any car buying website
Oooo I dig it, I’m new to this channel but I ain’t goin nowhere. Where can I get a dynomax resonator from? And just delete the mid (3rd muffler) and rear?
160k seems like a lot of mileage for this car unless it was a spectacular deal. Or are these just that reliable to the point where that kind of mileage doesn't matter as much?
It’s pretty much what you said but it depends on if it was maintained right. I hear the 07 to 08’s have better holding up transmissions. I have the 05 base tl and I got it at 162k and took it on a 4hr drive to California and back to Az and it gave no trouble for a 4000$ car I got for 3700$ on offer up. Now 11months later at 184k it makes a little suspension noise and needs a transmission drain and fill but other than that it’s still gets me from a to b.
Those seats are amazing and Post more video 📸 with update and yes I have the 2012 TL fwd I do little mods in terms of LED headlights and rear spoiler also block out taillights muffler delete and resonator delete with quads tips and yes she sounds amazing to drive

@@willlauture3401 cars great , put coilovers on her and rims come February. Had to replace purge valve and alternator so far but that’s it . Solid car still . Super clean
Yeah for sure! Make sure if it’s high mileage that the timing belt and water bump has been changed every 80-100k miles, lower ball joints have been changed would be really nice, and engine mounts have been changed. Those are the main things I look for
How has your gas mileage been on both your TL Type S? I average around 17-18 which is honestly horrible regardless if I am being throttle happy or driving it like a normal human being. And all my maintenance is up to date. I have had mine for almost 3 years now.
Sounds about right, that’s how much I get on mine, especially with a modified exhaust but I love the TL for the luxurious build quality and reliability. For example, there’s no outside noise when driving vs a Honda Accord
@@AntnyNguyen Totally agree. It's got a lot going for it and especially for the price you pay for it used now a days, it's quite a lot of car for the money. But when I have to fill up every few days and getting mileage that's even worse than SUVS, trading it for something else sounds appealing haha
If you buy a car private sale it's simple. They have a title, fill out the title and date it. Write out a bill of sale stating who is selling who is buy what the car is and what the date is. Most places are minimum of 7 days but typically 30 days to register
