And evil deeds can be done with good intentions, make no mistake about that. Besides, I think Bowser Jr. already had a mother, his real mother, but Bowser broke up with her because he is TOO OBSESSED over Peach!!!
With that in mind, because of this movie, I now understand why Bowser wants to kidnap Peach all the time. He knows she will never be with him willingly, so he takes her against her will. Yeah, I know, that's a bad way to show romantic feelings, but in Bowser's case, he has two choices: Forget about Peach (he'll never choose that), or take her by force.

Bowser is a fantastic character because even though he’s the villain and he’s done a LOT of messed up stuff, the guy’s just so likable and fun to watch that some messed up part of you is genuinely rooting for him to win the day. That on top of his genuine redeeming qualities like being a good dad and king, working with Mario in the face of bigger and scarier villains like Count Bleck and Smithy, I kind of see why Bowser always gets invited to Kart races.
Heck, even the movie version of Bowser where he’s much less sympathetic a character I still thought was really great, and I hope we get a sequel just so we get more of him.

As a kid I had weird sympathy and attachment towards “the bag guy” (but not in the way of a crush) in almost every piece of media I consumed and bowser was the first. Idk why but 6 yo me was fascinated by him and I mained him in like every Mario multiple game and played tf out of bowsers inside story. They did him such justice in the new Mario movie and he still holds a special place in my heart to this day 💚

Ever since I first saw him as a child, I just thought he was the cutest thing and loved him! I don't know why he's so ridiculously cute and handsome, but he just is! He's sitting so cute at 1:53 And his little claws and teeth just add to the cuteness! And I really love how they expanded upon his personality in the Mario & Luigi games. Well, I suppose that's enough for this comment. 🙂
Mario and Luigi:Bowsers inside story + Bowser Jr's journey deserved so much better! It was honestly a really great remake! But, it really could have benefited from being on Switch. Also, Bowser is just too cute and funny in that game.

Nintendo has actually shown that peach is a force to be reckoned with when she gets serious. In bowsers side story, she just kicks him out of her meeting room with a magical wave if her arm, and then there's the super princess peach game.
She absolutely is getting kidnapped willingly. Makes bowser feel powerful and cunning, makes mario and luigi feel good about their own strengths, and she has a good time of it knowing that she can get herself out if something goes wrong. Its fun and facinating

Now that I think about it, I may very well have been the first person ever to roleplay an actual characterized Bowser. The year was 1997, and I was just a tiny child obsessed with Bowser's portrayal in Super Mario 64; it was the early days of the internet and my Dad's work computer was my first exposure to the internet, and one of the first things I found was a Mario roleplay chatroom, and I jumped in as Bowser. Nearly a decade later, I was involved when my buddy Stu created The Bowser Shrine, and I had developed a heck of a Bowser impression. Nearly twenty years later, and I'm still obsessed with the big guy; I wanted to grow up to voice Bowser in a movie one day, but I think Jack Black was a much better pick, lol.
