He is the hienz doofensmirtz of Nintendo but his plans are 20% better let’s look at the the things bowser and doof have in common.
Both have a kid that they love so much
Both are bad guys but can be good people
Both get kicked in the butt an a sentient animal
They have teamed up with their arch nemesis to fight a bigger threat.
And that’s about it now for the differences
Doof makes robots while bowser has a entire army of sentient turtles
Doof has one kid who doesn’t like his evil while bowser jr. likes being evil also bowser has 7 other children that are adopted.
Bowser gets beaten by a plumber who sometimes transforms into other animals while doof gets beat up by a semi aquatic egg laying mammal of action
One of the only good things doof does is try to be a good dad while bowser is a good dad cus he got bowser jr. in the divorce he had with his unknown wife(whoever that is.😅)
Bowser's got that Ice King vibe where hes a "good guy" turned bad by circumstances

Bowser always seemed more Yakuza than Evil Overlord to me, but that maybe because of There Will Be Brawl. He genuinely has the respect of his subordinates, and is a good family man in his personal life. His villainous acts are a job to him.

For me, just the fact that Bowser is raising 8 CHILDREN as a single parent makes me think that the only reason he’s kidnapping Peach is because he just wants his kids to have a mother figure in their life.

I have a theory here:
Bowser is the former King of the Mushroom Kingdom, transformed into a monster and brainwashed by Kamek. When he was human, he never approved of Mario's advances toward his daughter, and this carried over into when he became the Bowser we know. This is why he constantly "kidnaps" Peach- Because he's scared that Mario's an abusive jerk. He's seen first hand what the guy does to his enemies, and he'd be damned if he let that psycho put a finger on his daughter. Bowser Jr. was also transformed by Kamek, but still maintains the bond with his Dad.
This theory makes a lot of sense if you look into it...

KING Bowser.
It fits perfectly...
Ooh I wonder if this can be backed up by the timeline, maybe the transformation process is why he's green in the show(s? and the Mario Land era, I think?)

Turtles (and turtle-dragons by extension) are literally fused to their shells at the spine. Though, we do see Koopas are able to loose their shells without issue in a few games, so maybe they aren't really turtles at all! 0.o

Bowser doesnt really have any major evil in him either. Like, he wants to marry the princess, but doesnt want to do anything else really. Its been proven that he can get along when everyone if he isnt trying to take the princess. He even has fucking tea ettiquite made by Nintendo themselves.
Can you make a video about Kasuga Ichiban, how to properly introduce a new series protagonist in a franchise? The recent Yakuza did a great job in giving us a new protagonist where in most games they rushed it, or don't give new characters a lot of development time.

Not to mention when he and Peach got married in _Super Paper Mario,_ he took their marriage very seriously the whole time. If Peach could only learn to let go of Mario, then the Mushroom and Koopa Kingdoms could be united under an absolute power couple and Kamek could have some help raising the kids while Bowser’s busy. You know Peach would spoil those Koopalings rotten with her baking skills and provide a gentle touch where Bowser has trouble with such things and Kamek is already perpetually tired from being Bowser’s surrogate dad.

Nintendo has very carefully crafted his personality over the decades. It's obvious that Bowser by nature isn't truly an "evil" guy, albeit he keeps trying to be one due to the way he was raised. 😂

Not true. People like to romanticize the idea of a good Bowser so they cherrypick things despite it being shown he’s neglectful, a bad influence, & very hard on him. It’s no wonder Jr. said he has daddy issues to repress. Koopalings aren’t related to him anymore, adoption or otherwise. On top of all this, he is generally a bad guy who calls himself “the remorseless king of evil”. “Any true Nintendo fan” would disagree with this video.

Dont wanna be that guy but at 5:00 is New Super Mario Bros Wii from 2009, not NSMBU deluxe from 2019. I only say this because its my favorite 2D mario game and played it nonstop.
Loving the video!! Looking for something that touches on his misogyny in particular lol, the line in the intro level to Super Mario Galaxy 2 about "mak[ing] the princess bake [him] something for once" really caught me and my partner's eye. Even though I'm looking to disagree, thank y'all so much for your research:)
I think he was just jealous that Peach is always baking cakes for Mario instead of him. It’s a plot point in Mario 64.

Misunderstood as a bad guy, eh? I always feel that way. I have reason to believe that my ASD makes me stand out and makes others perceive me a certain way. Do you know how often I said dumb things, like at work? I stupidly mentioned a man’s right to hit a woman for self-defense, and a new coworker proposed a new topic. And I doubt she likes me, because when I was casually chatting with a baker while waiting for the desserts, she entered and said “harassing the baker, John?” I asked why she thought that, and she said “Because you’re John.” Or how about the time I told a coworker (whom I didn’t think would resent this, since he’s clownish, snuck up on a guy, and once made a weight joke to him) “put a sock in your àss. I mean mouth.” Of course, he actually did resent that and told me I can’t speak to him that way. I didn’t intend harm; he had interrupted a question of mine to another worker to (if I remember correctly) playfully diss me. I guess I was annoyed with the clownish interruption, but I didn’t mean for it to be obvious. When I apologized later, he replied unfairly: “you’re good, man. You just need to learn how to speak to people.” Way to make me feel better.
And that's not the worst part. I was once taken to my boss's office with her and a high-ranking chef. The chef told me that I've been touching my coworkers too much. Not THAT type of touch, of course not! Just casual ones, like on arms or shoulders. I was always very outgoing at work. When I asked her if anyone reported a complaint, she said it didn't matter (so I guess yes). She told me that we need the workers to be comfortable in a good work environment; that I pretty much shouldn't talk about anything other than work and school (we're a university's catering service). That I shouldn't tell my stories because they may be inappropriate to my coworkers. Now yeah, I pretty much don't have a filter, and sometimes I guess I do say "inappropriate" stuff at work, but not *_horribly nor intentionally._* I just like to joke around and have fun with people. I really didn't get specific information from the chef about what and who. She understands/ likes that I'm outgoing, but she made it sound risky and in need of limits, for good behavior and my coworkers' sake. And again, that I shouldn't touch them without consent. But seriously, I'm not a creep or Joe Biden. I didn't mean to be so "handsy." I'm so embarrassed about the lecture. Have I really gone that far at work? I've been hating myself since then. And I expressed this story in a few Dan Schneider videos, and people pretty much just scold or lecture me. What's it gonna take for me to redeem myself. I feel like the world is against me.
