I was able to beat the boss 'normally' when I was little but it was even harder than it should've been because I didn't know you were supposed to bounce eggs off the back wall. I can't remember what I did but I think it involved letting the little pirahna spores land and become those clam-like things so I can take them in Yoshi's mouth then spit them back onto his weak spot. It was a huge accomplishment to do it this way.
I really wanted to see Ganondorf start swiping at the fishing line like a cat or something. Would be hilarious if you could reel it in after he catches it to pull him off his feet.
The thing that makes the fishing rod trick even more amusing is that multiple games in the series have that sort of thing. In Link to the Past you can reflect Agahnim's projectiles (and win) with a bug net whilst in Orcarina of Time its apparently easier to reflect Ganondorf's blasts with an empty bottle.
The fact that there's dialoug for when you beat the enemy in Yoshi's Island before the boss fight makes me wonder if the developers did notice how the player was able to do that and were like "Eh, you know what let's just keep it there as a cute easter egg"

In Metroid dread, if by some means you have the super bomb before the fight with kraid, there is a secret passage that will shoot you as morph ball to kraids belly and by putting a super bomb, you kill him with one hit... And there are cinematics to that even when you should not have the super bombs that early by normal means

I have a situation that is even funnier, in the sequel, you can play as magalor and do a similar strat. Except magalor spam is a lot slower and has less range so it ended up creating moments where the ai just went ultra instinct and just dodge most of the shots and got close enough to where I had to teleport away

For those unsure, you're supposed to defeat spore spawn and acquire super missiles, needed to first open two green doors (one just above charge beam and one a few rooms later) in order to get to the elevator room where you need super missiles to break the blocks. The sequence break is to use a "mockball" in the first room to the right with a collapsing bridge and speed booster gates when you enter Brinstar. From there you can either get the spore spawn missiles the normal way or via "spore spawn skip", which is a decently precise trick, and end up with 10 super missiles at Kraid fight.
6:00 Imagine training yourself for years trying to one up your true self, only to lose because said true self was spamming one move and never pressing the D pad once.
Mudslap is even worse, as not only does it do a fair amount of damage, its accuracy lowering trait is broken. After a few rounds the enemy will rarely ever hit you. (flashbacks to a long ass fight with groudon Where we did barely any damage and groudon barely ever hit anyone)
Nah Imprison is worse. Those inflicted can't do anything at all. Vulpix in Sky magnifies it because you can also have will-o-wisp, confuse ray, and smokescreen. Groudon in Steam Cave just tried to go into a corner and cry as I completely overpowered it.
9:38 what's even funnier is that the developers KNOW It, I played Punch out and I remembered perfectly that there was two challenges for don flamenco: "TKO or KO Don in a round where he has not thrown more then 3 punches" (this is in first match and he can be also be inf combo just doing Up and down hits so is the same thing) And "Knock Don Flamenco down in under 40 seconds" in that is needed to do the trick to do It.
Iirc, this is because Don had an infinite in the original NES game, albeit one that was much easier to pull off. You just had to dodge his uppercut in his first fight and then alternate left and right jabs.
Don was the perfect boss to have this bc all the audio just falls in rhythm with the background music 😂 Mac had his feet making a drum beat on the canvas
The best fun to have with MD bosses is Memento spam. Unlike in base Pokemon, you don't KO on use, and can use it multiple times to minimize damage. Boss does only 1 damage until struggle, and you can heal before anything bad happens
The amount of bs you can pull in mystery dungeon games is amazing. I had a Smeargle that had sweet scent linked with powder snow so that it would hit everything in the room or possibly freeze them. I became unsatisfied so I taught it lock on and perish song to kill everything on the floor at once.

The Bonechill fight is absolutely ridiculous with Luigi, and so is Brobot L-Type if you use Boomer. Just lay Boomer down next to where the robot stops moving in the air and lifts his feet three times and he's dead.

SmokeScreen was eventually nerfed to just lower accuracy in Gates to Infinty. Attract is probably even worse as nearly everything can learn it and in Red/Blue Rescue Team gameplay-wise, nothing had genders so it affected EVERYTHING, even things it does not work against in main series. It was heavily nerfed in Explorers since things actually had gender gameplay wise, but then kinda unnerfed in Gates; while infatuation status is nowhere as strong (50% to whiff a move instead 100% to lose the entire turn), you can once again inflict it on anything.
You can humiliate the security tanks 2nd fight in Metroid fusion by staying on the ceiling and moving all the way to the left. It can only hit you with its rockets while you can diagonally shoot rockets when it comes close. Bit long to do it this way but there’s literally nothing it can do

Yep, i can confirm this. That is my usual strat everytime I speedrun Metroid Fusion. Not a WR time but it's still fun regardless, seeing how you can sometime sequence break the game and skipping huge time.
Agility in mystery dungeon is also pretty OP. You can set up agility 4 times in a row before your opponent can even act, meaning you get 4 turns, your opponent gets 1

The best part of the last video from Starfox 64 is, that to get the medal for that level, (Macbeth) you need 150 hits. So if you get at least 100 hits before doing that trick, you'll get the medal no problem as the boss gives you an automatic 50 hits from this trick. Great video BTW.
Actually, it's the only way to score the medal - there aren't enough enemies to accomplish 150 points in the stage (except with the use of GameShark or similar devices).
In the Water Temple in Ocarina of Time, Dark Link is pretty tough to fight with your sword like normal, but pull out the hammer, and he has no way to mirror you. Makes the fight trivial, in case anyone here didn't already know.
A tool no one really uses but helps with nearly every enemy is deku nuts, I tried a playthrough using items I don't normally use and I found deku nuts can really carry some fights.

I like the idea of Link keeping the dungeon keys just so he could dangle them on the fishing rod in front of Ganon. Also I can see Luigi canonically defeating Bowser in SMB3 that way given his character.
I was worried about Ultra Necrozma my first time playing. I had heard stories of how hard he was to beat. Turns out, my Zoroark that I caught at the Pokemon School at the start of the game really helped. 3 shot him.

@@vyor8837 You have to do a squence break to get the bomb data, which requires grapple Beam. And all it takes is two perfect jumps and you can do it, there is videos on how to do this break.

In the ultra necrozma battle i was expecting the FEAR Rattata And for those who don't know, fear is for Focus sash Endeavor quick Attack Rattata. It's a level 1 Rattata that tanks a hit with the focus sash, shots endeavor to leave ultra necrozma with one hp and then uses quick attack, which has priority to take it down
Here's one, you can actually trap Morpha into a corner in OoT meaning it's possible to kill it within a minute. Bongo Bongo can be easier to take out if you freeze one of it's hands with an Ice Arrow which make it reveal it's eye earlier than usual. Demos from Wind Waker can be killed immediately from Forest Water being poured on it when exposed. Though hard to pull off, Goron Link can actually one shot Goht if he rolls on top of it from a ramp in the Majora's Mask 64. Malamar,Marshadow,F.E.A.R Pokemon and Zoroark are the only Pokemon(not counting over leveled Pokemon or Affection) that can defeat Ultra Necrozma very easily/quickly.
In Dragon Quest VIII's 3DS remake, there's a new dungeon called Memories Lane, which lets you fight the game's earlier bosses again but at a higher difficulty. Two bosses in this dungeon can be quite humiliated: The tortured soul in Memorium and Sir Leopold in Memorium. For the tortured soul, confusion spells work quite well, since while he's immune to confusion, his allies aren't so lucky. Confuse his allies and you can pretty much turn them against him. As for Leopold? Well, it turns out he has a really nasty weakness to venom. If either Jessica or Red know Toxic Sword and they use it on Sir Leopold in Memorium, if he gets envenomated, he's pretty much dead in about 5 or 6 turns.
How would you feel If a grand warrior that is supposedly unkillable whips out a fishing rod instead of a sword, you'd think that warrior lost their damn mind too

8:17 if you restored all your PP, and linked all your attacks together for all your team, prior to fighting Rayquaza you can beat him in at least 3 turns. I remember doing something like that when I was a kid with me being a Charmander, Croconaw my friend, and a Yamna we recruited in a floor prior to this fight. It's also possible to trivialize Dark Link in Ocarina of Time - just don't use z-targeting and don't use the master sword, and you basically attack him all you want for free. Dark Link has NO response to the Megaton Hammer, Deku Sticks, or Deku Nuts.

You can humiliate the security tanks 2nd fight in Metroid fusion by staying on the ceiling and moving all the way to the left. It can only hit you with its rockets while you can diagonally shoot rockets when it comes close. Bit long to do it this way but there’s literally nothing it can do

Yep, i can confirm this. That is my usual strat everytime I speedrun Metroid Fusion. Not a WR time but it's still fun regardless, seeing how you can sometime sequence break the game and skipping huge time.

Agility in mystery dungeon is also pretty OP. You can set up agility 4 times in a row before your opponent can even act, meaning you get 4 turns, your opponent gets 1

In the Terminal Montage starfox video, I was confused as to why the base moved instead of the train. So I'm just now getting the joke. XD I never played the N64 Starfox much so I didn't even know about the secret ending to the fight.

The best part of the last video from Starfox 64 is, that to get the medal for that level, (Macbeth) you need 150 hits. So if you get at least 100 hits before doing that trick, you'll get the medal no problem as the boss gives you an automatic 50 hits from this trick. Great video BTW.
Actually, it's the only way to score the medal - there aren't enough enemies to accomplish 150 points in the stage (except with the use of GameShark or similar devices).
In the Water Temple in Ocarina of Time, Dark Link is pretty tough to fight with your sword like normal, but pull out the hammer, and he has no way to mirror you. Makes the fight trivial, in case anyone here didn't already know.
That or dins power use it 3 or 4 times he goes down
A tool no one really uses but helps with nearly every enemy is deku nuts, I tried a playthrough using items I don't normally use and I found deku nuts can really carry some fights.
Also works with the Biggoron Sword

I was worried about Ultra Necrozma my first time playing. I had heard stories of how hard he was to beat. Turns out, my Zoroark that I caught at the Pokemon School at the start of the game really helped. 3 shot him.

@@vyor8837 You have to do a squence break to get the bomb data, which requires grapple Beam. And all it takes is two perfect jumps and you can do it, there is videos on how to do this break.
Yes but in Super Metroid I didn't even own a SINGLE Super Missile until AFTER you beat Kraid first.

And for those who don't know, fear is for Focus sash Endeavor quick Attack Rattata. It's a level 1 Rattata that tanks a hit with the focus sash, shots endeavor to leave ultra necrozma with one hp and then uses quick attack, which has priority to take it down

I always thought F.E.A.R. stood for Fucking Enraging Anoying Rodent.
Here's one, you can actually trap Morpha into a corner in OoT meaning it's possible to kill it within a minute.
Bongo Bongo can be easier to take out if you freeze one of it's hands with an Ice Arrow which make it reveal it's eye earlier than usual.
Demos from Wind Waker can be killed immediately from Forest Water being poured on it when exposed.
Though hard to pull off, Goron Link can actually one shot Goht if he rolls on top of it from a ramp in the Majora's Mask 64.
Malamar,Marshadow,F.E.A.R Pokemon and Zoroark are the only Pokemon(not counting over leveled Pokemon or Affection) that can defeat Ultra Necrozma very easily/quickly.
Morpha is one of, if not, the most easiest boss in OoT. Such beautiful cheese

In Dragon Quest VIII's 3DS remake, there's a new dungeon called Memories Lane, which lets you fight the game's earlier bosses again but at a higher difficulty. Two bosses in this dungeon can be quite humiliated: The tortured soul in Memorium and Sir Leopold in Memorium. For the tortured soul, confusion spells work quite well, since while he's immune to confusion, his allies aren't so lucky. Confuse his allies and you can pretty much turn them against him.
As for Leopold? Well, it turns out he has a really nasty weakness to venom. If either Jessica or Red know Toxic Sword and they use it on Sir Leopold in Memorium, if he gets envenomated, he's pretty much dead in about 5 or 6 turns.
To add insult to injury you can use toxic on a level 1 zorua instead to absolutely humiliate necrozma.

8:17 if you restored all your PP, and linked all your attacks together for all your team, prior to fighting Rayquaza you can beat him in at least 3 turns. I remember doing something like that when I was a kid with me being a Charmander, Croconaw my friend, and a Yamna we recruited in a floor prior to this fight. It's also possible to trivialize Dark Link in Ocarina of Time - just don't use z-targeting and don't use the master sword, and you basically attack him all you want for free. Dark Link has NO response to the Megaton Hammer, Deku Sticks, or Deku Nuts.

In Metroid dread, if by some means you have the super bomb before the fight with kraid, there is a secret passage that will shoot you as morph ball to kraid's belly and by putting a super bomb, you kill him with one hit... And there are cinematics to that even when you should not have the super bombs that early by normal means
I believe it’s just the regular bombs that get you the special quick kill.
