Everyone says comedy comes in 3s, but the real secret is that there's simply a "dead zone" from 4 to about 6 or 7. Once you've repeated a joke eight times, it has become funny again, not because the joke is still funny but because it's funny that you're still using it.
The joke is definitely a bit more grating compiled all into a concise video (still funny basically the whole way through tho), but paced throughout the original multi-hour streams there was just enough downtime between each hit that it helped to make it feel fresh every time. Immediate classic lol
I don't count the conductor's wife because she never talked to Tails. Blaze never said, "I know that sounds bad," at all. The Conductor did say it, but it was muffled, and Sonic/Penny was talking over him.
