He was one of my favourite fighters to watch. I don’t think he held on to the submissions deliberately? He’s just so in the moment and so strong. I made a video with him years ago and he’s a super nice guy
@@TheChrisrich20 he did right!? I Suppose jiujitsu is less intense than MMA. In MMA I think he over commits to the submissions because If he doesn’t get it he’s in trouble. I don’t know? You think he holds onto them on purpose?
@@stuartcooperfilms no disrespect but I think there is some type of mental block with him. He gets in the zone and it's hard for him to break out, even when someone is screaming and tapping...Jon Fitch comes to mind...yikes. But yeah, he's probably more amped up in MMA.
See the massive difference between that first fight vs the kne with Galvao. He actually placed his hand on the back of the opponent's head (most times). With Galvao he started smacking it. Makes you wonder, why that one was rough. AndnGalvao started to do that to everyone as well. Vs Romulo and Pena.
Sé, de buena fuente, que antes de la pelea, Schon le dijo a Toquinho que sí lo lograba trabar de una pierna, iba a tapear sin pensarlo. Por eso Toquinho no se pasó, como siempre. I know from a good source, that before the match, Schon told Toquinho that if he was able to get a grip on a leg, he was tapping right away. That is the reason Toquinho didn't hold as always.
Interesting. I don't know what to think about Palhares. He could have destroyed the knee but releases after the tap super quickly. I didn't even see the tap. Further, he seems gracious and friendly in this entire video. I read below from Stuart Cooper films that he's a super nice guy. So what happened? Why so many long holds after the tap even after he had been warned? It just doesn't make sense. Regardless, the guy is a beast and an amazing competitor and grappler.
Another phenomenal video by the best filmmaker in our beloved sport! Great work! 🔥💥💯
Thanks brother
Amazing video much love! Also, any idea how much he weighed here?
Rousimar is scary!!! He was so entertaining to watch. I wish he didn’t hold on to submissions and get banned because he was awesome

Love seeing your work! Thanks for the upload.

@@stuartcooperfilms more surprisingly, Rousimar let go quick! nice to see

@@TheChrisrich20 yes its a tough one. I spent a week with him in Brazil and he's a really nice guy. Super friendly and polite.
Great job guys. Oss!
Thank you
Campeonato de tapa na cabeça

I have a video coming out soon with Andre talking about that match
I want a training video on how to hold on a little longer than necessary =) In all facets of life.

Aí o cara viu o risco e se antecipou , viu o golpe encaixar e caiu fora.
Sir i want to be UFC champion so can you please tell me what should I take as beginner

BJJ AND WRESTLING
Q bueno es palares para las piernas
Dan is more handsome tho. That is why he is called El guapo Schon.
😂😂😂
Sick!
Rousimar is a beast
Do the Flo guys allow you to film WNO or other shows on their platform?
Unfortunately not. Im going to see if i can work something out with them but it's most likely a no :(
@@stuartcooperfilms Dang bruh. Oh well. Will they still let you do ADCC 2021 tho?
just a couple of natty bois right there
Of course they are. Professional athletes don't take anything except protein and hard work. Lol.

All of it!
Nothing but Açai

@@NC-hu6xd what’s he got to do with it?
Rousimar "i break your arm even if you tap" Palhares
You could see from the start that Dan was scared, and for understandable reasons :D
No Jiu jitsu ele soltas As Chaves rapido já no MMA o juiz pula em cima dele e ele não larga
Did Toquinho work in construction or something?? I would hate to get kneebared by him
He is an alpha male from country Brazil.
Anyone who knows Dan Schon will tell you he is tough as nails, but Pahlhares is too dangerous with that heel hook.
Cuidado com pé 😝

Look at this BS. Palhares did what his opponent should have done to him.
A very bad dude.
I hope we see him compete in more jiujitsu tournaments soon
