Hello everyone, I hope you enjoy episode one of my new Andre Galvao ADCC history series. In this episode Andre looks back on some of his most entertaining matches from ADCC 2011. This video features his matches with Don Ortega, Gunnar Nelson, Pablo Popovitch, Rousimar "Toquinho" Palhares and Sergio Moraes.

Andre Galvao is the most accomplished ADCC Competitor of all time. He won double gold in 2011 and then went on to beat Braulio Estima in 2013 to become the new ADCC Super Fight Champion.
In 2015 Galvao defended his title against Roberto "Cybrog" Abreu. In 2017 he defended his title against former team mate Claudio Calasans and then at ADCC 2019 he defeated rival Felipe Pena.
Now Andre Galvao will defend his ADCC Super Fight title for one last time against his new rival Gordon "The King" Ryan at ADCC 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The one thing you notice about elite athletes in any given sport-remarkable memories. Baseball, football (American and international), hockey, basketball, it doesn’t matter. They can tell you with alarming accuracy the details of every important match, fight, game, tournament they’ve participated in. It’s incredible.

We wouldn't have mma/grappling without it- or most sports for that matter.
@@merkins87 that’s very true. The penalty for roids in MMA should be more severe. It really is borderline attempted murder with great bodily injury if one person is on roids and the other isn’t. They should just ALLOW EVERYONE to be on them if that’s going to be the case
@@raymondayala5355 exactly; it's not like you simply walk away salty because somebody ran faster than you/played the ball better than you- you get badly hurt! (Just ask Mark Hunt).
The problem is that as soon as you bring money/a man's ego into a sport, the nature of the game changes.
If they punish steroids too much, then people will stop watching these freaks/superstars. It was like watching touring cars when Australia tried banning V8's from its most prestigious race: nobody watched & it was a financial poison pill.
The sad reality is that PEDs will be part and parcel of the sport, with the difference being:
a) who has the money for the better masking agents; closely related to:
b) who is the more marketable figure (& thus worth protecting)
