Can I just point out that he calls the young man arrogant, but in this conversation, he is the one who comes across as arrogant and rude while the young man is just trying to understand his stance. It's just something that bugged me in this conversation. When the young man referred to where Jesus teaches us to pray, the immediate reaction from Sam was to humiliate him by saying he is clueless. I'm not seeing the compassion of the Lord in you, Sam.
If you are arrogant you are arrogant.. if you are blasphemy you are blasphemy. Black is black, white is white.. there is the time to shout to the whole world to discipline a person.. and the Bible teaches that..
6:03 I think he sees his younger self in the kid and has been overcome with a sort of self-hate. My father has done it to me before when ive made mistakes, He sees his younger self in the kid and is overcome with frustration and allows his love to be constrained by hate, showing little to no Grace. 😢
He was terrible. Within the first minute he asks the guy a question, then cuts him off before he gets a sentence or two into it without letting him finish, and then just berates and insults him for not answering. Then says his "time is limited" but then immediately goes off onto a tangent. He is the antithesis of Wes Huff. Wes showed such astonishing patience with Billy Carson. Billy was talking some total nonsense, but Wes maintained composure and let him speak. Sam is just such an emotional, bombastic, blowhard in comparison. If he were arguing in favor of Protestant doctrine in this manner I still wouldn't support it. It's so disrespectful and it doesn't reflect well on the positions he defends.
@@Spiral81C1 : Agreed. Sam shows arrogance frequently, and is in error in some areas. For example, we are NEVER to pray directly to those who have passed on. The Lord Jesus Christ Himself showed this directly to my wife, who was shown that we can ask Jesus to pass on messages, but ONLY through Him. Sam is puffed up, and I pray that the Lord will humble him, because he is following the testimony of man, and not God, in some areas.
Im Catholic and i always pray to Jesus Christ and worship our Lord, we ask our Glory Virgin Mary to pray for us Sinners and Ask our Saints to speak to our Lord to hear us Amen ❤
She is our celestial mother for hears our prayers and intercedes for us. Just like you would speak to your beloved mother when you want something… as simple as that.
@@TheLikesofMeh Since Mary is in heaven, how do you ask her? Pray to her? If praying to anyone other than God was ok, Daniel would've been spared the lions den. Daniel 6:7 All the commissioners of the kingdom, the prefects and the satraps, the counselors and the governors, have consulted together that the king should establish a statute and enforce an injunction that anyone who offers a prayer to any god or person besides you, O king, for thirty days, shall be thrown into the lions’ den.
@@narcisopena3004 : Not really. Paul the Apostle spoke of praying for other saints, and encouraged others to do so. Are you saying that you know better than Paul the Apostle?
In praying to God, yes, our prayers go to Jesus, or to the Father in Jesus' name. We don't pray to those humans that are on the other side. They are not God. You could ask Jesus to recruit some of them to intercede for you as fellow prayer warriors if you have a serious problem you're facing, but that request goes to Jesus and is up to Him to allow it or deny it. But most of all, you should first and foremost ask Jesus Himself to intercede for you, as the Word confirms that He does this. And finally, fasting and praying fervently with determination and persistence is extremely powerful. Hope this helps :)
@@eurovisionwtf I don't think so. If its argument for Pope, then the same argument goes for all the apostles too. Why Jesus needs to appoint apostles with special authorities?
@@tiju.j I have heard that arguement before, but i am just guessing. To some The Pope is known as God's Proxy on Earth, and therefor he can be seen as a mediator between men and God. That is the normal arguement.
I’ve listened to many videos of Sam shamoun and love that he fights for our lord and savior against the Muslim religion but at 7:30 using the straw man that who Jesus is praying to is not him but the father, I’m sure Sam being very smart would know that at that time he hadn’t ascended yet and was on earth showing US how to live a perfect human life. Once the ascension happened then you get revelation about the holy spiritual and so on so that’s what I don’t get here. But Timothy says only one mediator to God and that’s the Son Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit.
Not all who call me Lord will inherit the kingdom of God. We as Christian believer must be centered on the teaching of Jesus Christ not making tradition/pagan tradition as align with the Bible to prove that our teaching is true.
@@NoPropagandabroski And you're ignoring all the verses where Jesus said "I and and the father are one" So you're cherry picking to suit your position. Jesus also used the title "I am" to the Pharisees, a title ONLY used by God in the Old Testament.
@acurisur Who appeared to Moses ? Angel of the Lord, who was the mediator in the OT? Angel of the Lord. Acts states Moses heard the voice of God, which God said I am. In the same way, Jesus is a mediator, as Paul clearly states. And BTW your ignoring all the verses Jesus states that he is NOT God.

My man, he has the deepest knowledge of scripture I've ever seen and is a God fearing man, just because you don't agree with him it doesn't make him a fool
Sam has a haughty attitude, as very evident here. He is WRONG. My wife was shown that we are NOT to pray to or talk to those that have passed on. We can ask the Lord to pass on a message, but ONLY through Him (she was shown this as well). Sam corners this guy telling him to come up with verses that say you can't pray to saints. Why doesn't Sam know them himself? Why is he straying from the simplicity that is in Christ? There are PLENTY of verses that support only praying to God, like how Jesus is the mediator between Man and God. But the part that blows my mind is, when I came to Christ and He was teaching me directly, He showed me CLEARLY that praying to humans on the other side is WRONG, is IDOLATRY, and is NECROMANCY. It is a fast way to start getting responses from demons. Read the testimony of the street tough that was converted by David Wilkerson, Nicky Cruz. His dad prayed to Catholic saints, and Nicky led him out of the bonds of witchcraft and to the Lord Jesus Christ. These "saints" were demons in disguise, which was made clear upon his conversion. So I don't care if Sam can find and quote the entire Bible - he is NOT rightly dividing the Word of God. I have walked with Jesus for over 25 years, and been taught directly by His Spirit, and by a powerful prophetess. I know where I have revelation understanding, and where my understanding is incomplete. Sam is wrong, and Sam is proud. Don't idolize him, or any other earthly teacher. Take everything - EVERYTHING - to the Lord in prayer. Father God and the Lord Jesus is our teacher, through the Holy Spirit. Or, ignore me, and suffer the consequences. Your choice, your call, your consequences. But I'll give you a hint: don't take my word for it, go to Jesus until you hear directly from Him, and then keep seeking more understanding and more confirmation. If your heart cares more about the truth than about being right, He will show you. I find that most people love what they believe more than they love the truth, and are therefore not open to correction and teaching from the Lord. Sam is quickly slipping into this category, and I pray that the Lord humbles him before it is too late.
@@franciscojaviergrimaldo8558 : No, but idolizing earlier saints is turning him into one. He is not dividing the Word of God correctly. Read my other comments.
This kid was 25 and called Sam out for his illogical argument..Then he threatened to hang up on him 10 times for not debating him the exact way he wanted. The guy didn’t even make the argument Sam told him he needed to abandon. Sam just bullies the conversation and threatens to hang up when he gets push back. Even from a young man.
Yeah it's true. Sam probably got this from being raised in Islam, it's just how they debate. Sam is very knowledgeable but I disagree with him on this one.
I understand Sam being pushy with non-believers because there are demons to be dealt with. But praying that he could show more humility and love while arguing the faith with brothers in Christ hoping to bring them to a better understanding of the truth. No preaching works without love. I would have listened more to Sam but right here is where I would stop. I feel that when someone is too aggressive, it's because they want to talk so loud that they convince themselves of something they don't fully understand. Christ is a matter of personal revelation and the church is a matter of progressive revelation through the ages. There is no one right way to do church. The seven churches named by Jesus don't exist today even though they are named. If there were the apostles chosen by Jesus, there was Paul as well chosen afterwards an exception and a Judas that was lost as an exception. There are things inside the Catholic church that are borderline idolatory and approval of sin as much as there are borderline excesses inside the Protestant movement. Praying that Sam would stay in his lane bringing Christ to many who may never hear otherwise. Using the scripture to prove a point vs using the scripture to bind up the broken - the Word is to be used wisely.

Sam has been in the pit of Predestination / Calvinism but fortunately he crawled out of that pit by the grace of God. Now he has dug another pit for himself. He should read what is written in James 5:14-16 again very carefully. Notice James 5:16 says, "Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working." Sam believes that the fervent prayers of a righteous man include those who are in heaven and their prayers are not hindered as Sam pointed out that those in heaven have no sin and are perfect (Hebrew 12:23). Take note that James 5:16 is telling the members of the Church to CONFESS THEIR SINS TO ONE ANOTHER AND PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER and this is the communion of the saints as Sam pointed out. So, my question is why do the saints in heaven need to CONFESS THEIR SINS TO ONE ANOTHER AND PRAY TO ONE ANOTHER since they are sinless and perfect? To confess and pray one to another is meant for those who are still living on earth, this is what James was teaching them. How Sam can miss this crucial part of James 5:16 is unbelievable since he is so knowledgeable in the Bible. I am not sure if he was genuinely blind or something else had happen to him. But I wish Sam would open his eyes carefully to read James 5:16 again. Those who agree with what I've pointed out please pray for him. He has done a lot of good to defend the gospel and I do not wish to see him sliding down that slippery slope. Please pray that he also bears the fruits of the spirit and be patient and gentle in his speech because talking to stubborn people is very stressful.
He is a good guy, I love him, he was too hard in 5 points, and he is now making the same mistake with the non-bible catholics' beliefs. I will start to skip his content about catholicism and sticking with destroying Islamic cult.
I think there must be some other reasons for him to be attracted to the Catholic church other than his stated reasons because his argumentation was just incredibly weak.
This one verse that peotestants always take out of context😂😂😂. They love being out of context. Well just to let you know, If not for the one mediator, we will not have Mary and the saints
@henrylimnyuy3195 hey brother, I think the context has always been specific about a mediator, in that Jesus is our connection to the Father. Simple and plain is all.

Deuteronomy 18:11: "Anyone who 'consults with the dead' is 'detestable to the Lord'". There you go Sam, we cant be "praying" to dead believers. All who have died in Christ are saints. My mother in law is a saint who I will see again in the day of resurrection. I cannot pray to her, I cannot try to communicate with her. It is a sin.
I pray to The Holy Spirit often because The Holy Spirit is here to comfort us, so i pray to The Holy Spirit for strength and guidance almost every day.
This man is just good at arguing. When you pray to the father, you are praying to all of the persons of God because you're praying to God. What is the proof? He said that when you see me you see the father. Therefore, if I'm speaking to him, I'm speaking to the father and when I say father I am speaking to my Jesus and I am speaking to the godhead and I am speaking to the Holy Spirit who is within me. And the Holy Spirit within me. Praise through me to the father as well and Jesus is the only reason why I have access to anything. I usually listen to this man what he has to say but this today disturbs my spirit
He agrees with that, that’s the whole point , you use the totality of scripture to come up with that conclusion, that when you pray to the father you also pray to Jesus and the Holy Spirit. His argument (Sam) is that if you use the verse on how to pray Jesus only says pray to the father, so if you go by sola scriptura only, it will be a contradiction to the person who uses sola scriptura. Which is why sola scriptura is a false doctrine. The same way you came to the conclusion that praying to the father is praying to the trinity is the same conclusion when Jesus says to pray for one another , everyone who is In heaven is included. Because they aren’t dead , there is only one body of Christians whether on Earth or in heaven. They are aware in Heaven, so when Jesus says to pray for one another, Jesus never says “don’t ask anyone to pray for you” so asking someone to pray for you is allowed. If I ask my friend to pray for me it’s allowed, if I ask Mary to pray for me it’s allowed. Because there is only one body of Christ. The logic is there the scripture is there. You just need to use your brain.
However, there is but ONE LITERAL ALMIGHTY GOD, Who just so happens to be GOD the FATHER, Who just so happens to be SPIRIT, Who just so happens to be......HOLY!
@@juangutierrez1883 I came to my conclusion solo by scripture. Scripture itself tells you that he sends the counselor to speak to you. When I am listening to the rhema of word of the Holy Spirit while reading scripture, I am in fact going by Sola scriptura. I think we're underestimating how thorough the whole scripture is. When you take out a portion of scripture, you trivialize the entire thing, the entire spirit and the entire struggle. Scripture defines scripture, scripture explains scripture. He said go to the father in his name and then he said that when you see me you see the father. He said that the father and I are one. You don't use these different scriptures separately, they all must agree, therefore, whatever conclusion you make must fit all three points. . It remains Sola scriptura... You are allowed to use your brain and your mind use reasoning and logic, did you know that that in of itself is in the scripture. When we speak of Sola scripture? We are not only speaking of one book in the New testament. We are speaking about over 2,000 years of the explanation of God. God has spoken to us through people all through these years through all these kingdoms in three different languages. Put it together. Start studying the Greek the Hebrew the Aramaic start putting the puzzle together to make one story. Your decision making, your view, and your conclusions should not contradict the word. God is infinite, and sits outside of time and space. That is scripture, and that doctrine alone makes everything and anything possible. With God. Everything is possible and only God is absolute. Come on.
What I've gathered from this: 1. The saints can pray for us 2. The Saints are sinless & their prayers never fall on deaf ears 3. We're commanded to pray for one another. 4. The saints are aware of earthly events Why am I still not sold on this doctrine? 1. There are verses that explicitly instruct us not to interact with the dead 2. Christ was asked about prayer and that was a clear opportunity to teach what is biblical & what isn't, instead, what He didn't say was pray to the saints who have died. In the many opportunities Jesus had to clear that up, He didn't, neither did the apostles from what I can tell. 3. Just because the church fathers adopted traditions, it doesn't automatically mean we're obligated to do so too. 4. It seems that there are a lot of interpretational & mental gymnastics being done to make the Bible say this & at best, it proports to open the door to it but the scriptures remains clear on my first point.
i know those in heaven are not reunited with their bodies yet, but who says they are dead. I would still say they are alive, so it wouldnt be interaction with the dead. Btw, im not a catholic, im non denominational. All im just trynna do is pocess this new information rn
1) people in heaven are not dead, they are alive in the Father, in Christ and in Spirit 2) this is an argument from silence, we can infere anything from silence within the bible 3) the church fathers lived closely to the source and were genuinely inspired by God, some of the early church fathers even interacted with some of the apostles, take clement of rome, he asserted the authority of the presbyters as rulers of the church because they had been appointed by the Apostles, and he was personally ordained by Peter 4) the mental gymnastics is in your head in not accepting a biblical doctrine
@@KdnfollowsChrist First of all I don't have to show you any verse. Sola scriptura is your problem created in 16th century by a German heretic. If you need direct verse to believe anything then you cannot worship Trinity. You cannot pray to Holy Spirit. You don't know Jesus is fully man and fully God. Only reason I'll respond to you with scripture is because you believe in it. Also get your basics right. Meaning of Pray is 'Ask. I request you to check any dictionary before responding. According to Paul the saints are part of the church in heaven and everyone in the church are supposed to ask intercession from each other.
@@tiju.j You're just repeating what Sam said, and I love Sam, he's a great talker and I've learned a lot from him, but I disagree here. Yes, I'm sola scriptura, but I also hold value in church tradition. Also, it's obvious that we should pray to God, and the Trinity is God, therefore pray to the trinity. There is no really good standard for praying to saints. There is not even a verse in the Bible where people are praying to saints, they always pray to God. Saying something like "oh it doesn't say to pray to the Trinity either in the Bible" is, no offense, blatantly stupid. You disregard the fact that God is omniscient, omnipotent, and almighty, with each member of the Trinity having a distinct role as God, who you should pray to, not saints.

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Christ, Christ is God, the Holy Spirit is God. Therefore of course the Holy Spirit is qualified to intercede for us as He is God. There is no intercessor apart from Christ - who's Spirit is the Holy Spirit.
Wrong understanding it's clear SPIRIT is the word it means the Spirit of GOD singular not spirits. Understand the scripture clearly. It will lead you to heresy

Catholics = Christian. Catholics believe Jesus Christ is the ultimate intermediary for us, but God still uses his children to govern his church, write his books, and lead our brothers and sisters to him. Who told you about Christianity? Was it God the Almighty himself that personally told you about it and gave you the King James Version?
OK, if you believe that, we have everything that we need from the Bible what does the Bible say about knowing if the book of James is Cannon versus the dedicate of James how do you know that one is and what is not Cannon the scripture ever tell you?? no we as a catholic community can say scripture is infallible but it’s not gonna have every answer. We will have the answer as long as we use God’s church to tell us what is and what isn’t right. It’s not bad to come back to the Lords Church!
The spirit of Christ, who dwells within us intercedes for us because He is God. Is that the verse you were going to attempt to present as an argument? That the Holy Spirit intercedes for us with growing, which cannot be uttered? Jesus said not to call anyone father (meaning religious leaders when He said it according to the context of the scriptures). Catholic "priests" are called what? Only Jesus was/is sinless, Mary was not. In luke while pregnant with Jesus, she sings to Him in her womb as her "savior". The sinless don't need saving for the wage of sin is death. Peter is not a pope & never had a throne. This is ridiculous to suggest. Especially when he himself told those who would bow to him, "stand up! I too am just a man". The worship of statues, kissing of rings, worship of Vatican city etc. Its crystal clear when you read the words of God that the catholic church is the modern day pharisees of Jesus day. The foretold wolves in sheeps clothing. False prophets who would cone in His name. Like rome(catholic origins for political power after murdering Christians only grew the church). Its crazy how someone who knows the scriptures so well can be so wrong.
@tiju.j so you're going to deliberately be a fool? As i said in my post, religious leaders are not to be called "father" as Jesus commanded in the context. Read the scripture & if you have 2 working brain cells & a heart for the truth, you will quickly accept it & condemn the catholic disobedience to Christ. But yes, in the grand scheme of things, if your father is a Christian & you are a Christian, spiritually in the church body, as children of God, we would be brothers & sisters.
@tiju.j you choose to be a fool. If you read the post you're replying to, you clearly see i stated in the context of the scriptures, Jesus is referring to religious leaders not biological fathers. But to answer your question, if your father is a believer in Christ, he is a child of God. If you're a believer also, that makes you a child of God. What are two sons of a the same father called?... I'm waiting....
Jesus was addressing the prideful attitudes of the religious leaders of His day-the Pharisees-who loved titles for status and power. His command was against the misuse of titles that elevated men over God. However, the term “father” is used elsewhere in Scripture with a spiritual meaning: Paul writes to the Corinthians: “For though you have countless guides in Christ, you do not have many fathers. For I became your father in Christ Jesus through the gospel” (1 Corinthians 4:15). In Acts 7:2, Stephen refers to “our father Abraham” when addressing Jewish leaders. These instances show that using the term “father” in a spiritual sense (as a guide or mentor) does not contradict Jesus’ teaching when it’s done humbly and without replacing God’s role as the ultimate Father. Catholics do not view priests as divine or sinless, but as spiritual guides who reflect God’s pastoral care for His people.
@Gunker02 lets address your claim from Paul first, as he himself states "through the gospel". He is not claiming father of the faith or the title. Only that a father in terms of founding fathers etc. There arent many because christ only lead the 12. Stephens claim of abraham isnt religious at all but of the Jewish bloodline. Abraham is the father of the Jewish people. Literal seed. Jesus was addressing the very fact of man vs God in a spiritual sense. Only God the father is the one to be called father in a spiritual sense. Not Paul. Not Peter. Not any catholic "priest pope bishop cardinal etc.". Its crystal clear. All one has to do is read the scripture.
We have one mediator between us and the Father and it is our Lord Jesus Christ, it does not mention we need anyone else. God can and does hear our prayers when we ask forgiveness by the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit calls us. No where does it say that we should pray to those who died before us. God tells us to call on him many places both Old and New Testament. The one I trust to pray to is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and nothing else. Jesus did not venerate his Mother, Jesus said whoever believes and follows him is his brother, his sister and his mother. I don't want anything that takes my eyes off of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and might cause me to trust in someone else. The saints probably are praying for us and that's okay, but nowhere does it say to pray to them. I trust God to hear my prayers for he is all knowing, and merciful and my only hope.
""I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men" the same quote that you make a few verses before we find this not only is expected that we ask the intercession of men but we should make it therefore you must repent of the false theology that you have benn taught
SAINTS PRAY WITH SAINTS ON EARTH NOT TO THEM WHO HAVE NO PART IN THIS WORLD. Matthew 18:19 [19]Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
I agree with you but that verse is not contextually correct, brother, and gets used all the time time in a way that make it seem like being in agreement with an brother or simply asking for things in Gods name with another brother makes it so. This verse is speaking about confronting sin, being witnesses for each other based on the Law of Christ using the form talked about in Deuteronomy 19. It’s not a plug for being right but a method to be one in Christ when addressing and potentially helping brothers to restoration.
that's the difference between Protestant Theology and Catholic Theology. Because of just singling out verses, thats how we get different denominations. You got to take every verse into context to really get it's meaning. You cant just prove any point by just singling out verses lol.

This is why the doctrine of the intercession of the saints is a dangerous doctrine because the slope towards idolatry is very slippery for the majority of the faithful.

The Church is over two thousand years old. Francis isn't the Church. Francis, the eco-communist, globalist, Peronist has both uttered apostasy and heresy. I'm not obligated to follow him. I just burst your myths that a.) everything the pope says is infallible (it's not), b.) Catholics worship the pope (we don't), and c.) Catholics are required to obey everything the pope says (we aren't). Throughout history there have been good and holy popes and those who fall. Francis has fallen hard. What he says in no way reflects where the Church 'stands'. The Catholic Church is Christianity. It is the Church built by Jesus Christ, Himself, and is much, much bigger than some Argentinian Jesuit. I left for decades and have returned. I saw what Protestants, Jews, Muslims, and even New Age, had to offer. Nothing compares to Holy Mother Church and her sacraments. Viva Cristo Rey! Did you watch the video? I don't think you did.
If the pope goes against the early church dogmas and doctrine then he's an anti pope, that's the defense mechanism if the apostolic church if someone like francis is doing. That's like the math teacher saying 2+2=5, he can't redefine fundamental teaching. That's why the apostolic catholic church still stands today versus martin luthefer's gnosticism saying that scriptural doctrine is not chained and you can re interpret it as you like, he also said that yiu should reject the early church fathers, the literal direct disciples of the apostles and follow his gnosticism. He also said in his writings he added the word alone in his Bible translation, when there where hundreds of high german and low german catholic bibles before he was born.
@tiju.j the bible says their is none good no not one ,, that includes Mary be careful of Sam he comes across as self-righteous I could be wrong but let God be true, and every man a liar
It dont matter how many times we quote Jesus word for word saying that HE is the only mediator between us and God. Catholics STILL think dead humans can hear their prayers and idolize them as if they are more than what they are, FALLEN HUMANS who had to be SAVED just like US. They went to Heaven, and cannot hear your prayers, that is something only an omnipotent BEING (The Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit) can hear. God literally says not to communicate with the dead and yet thats a part of their religious rituals. Its just baffling to me.
You didn't watch the video, catholics don't pray TO saints, they ask them to intercede on their behalf. Like the bible says to "pray for one another" catholics believe that the saint's, who according to Jesus' words are ALIVE in heaven, to pray FOR them.
do you believe that those who followed Christ, partook in his sacraments, spread the faith, did the works (caring for the needy), performed exorcisms/miracles in his name, and/or were martyred for standing with their faith are simply dead? Was it not Christ himself who said “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:25-26), or the time he said “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16), or when he clearly stated “‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.” (Matt. 22:32)? If we are to be alive in Christ before Judgment Day, does God simply deafen us from hearing the troubles of our fellow children of God on Earth, mute us from asking for mercy and justice to the living through our prayers, and numbing our love and compassion that we were commanded to have for our neighbours once we make it to Paradise? Our greatest commands that Jesus Christ teaches us are to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:30-31) What is the most common and best way to accomplish both of these? Praying to God, praying for others, and asking others pray for us (especially when their Saints alive in Christ for they are closer to him than any living person). Intercession and prayer are two, very different things. Hope this helps. God bless you.
Sam,s knowledge of the Bible is just mesmerising and skill full I have learned so much listening to him,I wish he would do a weekly or monthly Bible studies even at a cost Christian’s that love god but struggle with scripture and prayer could learn so much off Sam, he is clearly full to the brim with the spirit.

Nowhere did it said we should.. just like he asking for proof that we can or should… or we shouldn’t or cant… but by reading the teachings of Yeshua and the Bible itself.. we can conclude that only Yeshua is the mediator.. and that we shouldn’t pray to anyone else
No you aren't supposed to worship idols. NO you aren't supposed to pray to dead people. What makes you think they are in heaven anyway? Are the souls not reserve to judgement? How can a soul be in heaven or hell if it hasn't been judged yet? Why did the bible say not to make images of things in heaven, earth or below the earth if it didn't mean it? Why are you all so afraid of just worshipping Jesus? And yes Jesus is GOD because Jesus is the word and the word is God.. And I could care less what any of you have to say on the issue because in all of eternity the majority have never been right about anything. It's always the few or the 1 that accomplish anything great.
@@mmr1137 I'm just going from verses like those below that seem to point to the dead being reserved until the day of judgement. That is unless the nature of things changed entirely once Jesus died and was resurrected and with that obtained the keys of life and death. If that's the case, awesome but if souls are already being sent to heaven and hell before they are judged what sense does that make? Why would one die and go to heaven or hell only to be judged again to see if they are worthy of everlasting life or damnation? Daniel 12:2 And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. Ecclesiastes 9:5 For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing, and they have no more reward, for the memory of them is forgotten.

Nowhere in the old or new testament is there any good example that we must pray to those who passed on. You pray to the Father in Jesus name as Jesus said and you can pray to Jesus to as ALL authority has been given to Him. There is just nothing nowhere, no example of other prayer to saints that passed in that time.
This is not how men should be discussing the Scriptures….talking over someone, yelling “ding ding ding” like its a game show…this is immature. This guy does a great job defending Christianity against Islam, but now he is going down paths i’d be weary of. We can pray and have a relationship with Jesus. I’m not praying a rosarie. The catholic church also claims the pope has the power to pardon sin….that’s reserved for one and one alone…Our High Priest Jesus Christ. Very sad to see this direction now.

@@MichaelEnuke Did saints are alive or rest in peace(sleep ) waiting for the coming of the LORD according to 1 Thess 4:13-17 ??? How can we ask to someone who are sleeping to pray for us ???
@@joelbenYAH Nobody is sleeping. In fact they exhibit heightened awareness. You can see dead Moses speaking to Jesus, even apostles see and hear him. Dead Abraham speaking to Lazarus and rich man. Many dead saints appearing to people after resurrection of Jesus (Matthew 27:52-53). Souls of saints aware about earthly matters (Rev 6:9)
Jesus, the father or the holy spirit, god is one so you can address god in which ever manner is most fitting aside from god i dont suggest praying to any saints, it may be acceptable it may not be but id rather stick to my mediator between god and man: jesus
It’s an important one, and I’d like to share my understanding from the Bible. I believe that when we pray, it’s best to pray directly to Jesus, and here’s why. The Bible tells us in 1 Timothy 2:5, “For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” This means that Jesus is the one who stands between us and God. He’s the only one we need to bring our prayers to the Father. There’s no need for anyone else to step in-Jesus has already done it all for us. In Hebrews 4:14-16, it says that Jesus is our high priest. He understands our struggles and weaknesses, and because of Him, we can come boldly to God’s throne of grace. That means we don’t have to go through saints or anyone else to talk to God. Jesus has made it possible for us to go straight to Him. When Jesus taught His disciples to pray, He said, “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name” (Matthew 6:9). He didn’t mention praying to saints or anyone else. The Bible shows us over and over again that our prayers should be directed to God through Jesus, by the power of the Holy Spirit. Philippians 4:6 encourages us to bring all our requests straight to God. Now, some people believe that because the saints are alive in heaven, we can pray to them to help us out. But the Bible doesn’t teach that. Sure, the saints are a great example of faith for us, but they’re not meant to be intermediaries between us and God. James 5:16 tells us to pray for each other while we’re here on Earth, but it doesn’t say anything about praying to people who have already gone to heaven. When we pray to saints, there’s a risk of taking away from Jesus’ role as our mediator. The Bible is clear: it’s Jesus who intercedes for us (Romans 8:34). Plus, there’s no evidence in Scripture that saints in heaven can hear our prayers. Our faith should rest in Jesus and what He has done for us, not in traditions that aren’t backed by the Bible. Conclusion ,in the end, the Bible shows us that Jesus is all we need. He’s the one who made a way for us to come to God, and He invites us to bring our prayers directly to Him. As Jesus Himself said in Matthew 11:28, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” So Sam, my answer is simple: We don’t need to pray to saints because Jesus is enough. He’s the one who hears us, loves us, and intercedes for us before the Father. Let’s keep our focus on Him, trusting in His sufficiency as our Lord and Savior.
The Hebrews passage alone destroys the intersession of the Saints idea. Also, the Saints not being God, shows they are not omnipotent or omnipresent. They are limited in ability weather they are here or in spirit form. They are not God. We have BILLIONS of Catholics sending Mary Billions upon billions of rosaries and prayers every day!? She can't hear all that. I think this has not been thought through on the logistics side of things. I have come to learn that the whole idea of intersession of the saints was derived later in Christianity in Rome and was copied from Roman paganism. In Roman Paganism there are household Gods. In Orthodoxy there are household saints. Its the same system, just replace the god with a saint. Examples: Patron God of Finance? is Mercury, Patron Saint of Finance is Matthew. The Roman God of lost things? Also Mercury, Patron Saint of lost things is St. Anthony and on and on and on. There's a patron God for everything, just like there is a patron saint for everything. I wonder where that idea came from? It wasn't the apostolic fathers or the disciples or the Jews. It was the Pagans.
I’m Catholic. I pray to God The Father. I pray to God our Father in Jesus Christ’s name. Jesus taught us to pray to God our Father. That’s why Jesus Christ says to pray like this saying “Our Father who art in heaven Holy is your name Thy Kingdom come Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our sins as we forgive others their sins against us and lead us away from temptation and deliver us from every evil Amen.
It's interesting how the Roman Catholics mixed Protestant teachings with Catholic teachings to prove their point. Instead when using only Catholic ideas, it is hard to back up many of their claims.
The Bible is read in every single mass. How could you were a Catholic and never read the bible??? You are supose to read a little bit of the bible everyday

Jak 5:16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working." The prayer of who!? Rev 8:3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. ❤☦️ We differentiate between deification ans exalt. When i pray to saints, i'm asking them to pray for me or somebody else before our Lord.
Are you going to pray to angels too, since they carry the golden censer? And none of your proof texts support your claim that any of the Saints can hear your prayers from heaven. Indeed, how would you know your family and friends have requested you to pray for them unless you were able to receive their requests? The Saints in Heaven would need to be all knowing to hear every prayer request from Earth at every moment in time, and triage those requests.

Sam is Proverbs 18:2 in a nutshell…
“Fools find no pleasure in understanding but delight in airing their own opinions.”
As in hes ignorant?
My man, he has the deepest knowledge of scripture I've ever seen and is a God fearing man, just because you don't agree with him it doesn't make him a fool
100%...... I would pay money to see this man sit down with Wes Huff for 20 minutes....Sam would melt like ice cream in the open sun

No, the kid couldn't make an argument for his position and got humbled.
Sam has knowledge, but no humility.

Welcome brother

Come on.
What I've gathered from this:
1. The saints can pray for us
2. The Saints are sinless & their prayers never fall on deaf ears
3. We're commanded to pray for one another.
4. The saints are aware of earthly events
Why am I still not sold on this doctrine?
1. There are verses that explicitly instruct us not to interact with the dead

@theaethered4928 you are right . I used to think the same too that they are dead but they aren’t clearly if they are with GOD
1) people in heaven are not dead, they are alive in the Father, in Christ and in Spirit
2) this is an argument from silence, we can infere anything from silence within the bible
3) the church fathers lived closely to the source and were genuinely inspired by God, some of the early church fathers even interacted with some of the apostles, take clement of rome, he asserted the authority of the presbyters as rulers of the church because they had been appointed by the Apostles, and he was personally ordained by Peter
4) the mental gymnastics is in your head in not accepting a biblical doctrine

So do you call your father a brother?
However, the term “father” is used elsewhere in Scripture with a spiritual meaning:
Paul writes to the Corinthians: “For though you have countless guides in Christ, you do not have many fathers.

🎉may good bless you!
Can we request prayer from them?

do you believe that those who followed Christ, partook in his sacraments, spread the faith, did the works (caring for the needy), performed exorcisms/miracles in his name, and/or were martyred for standing with their faith are simply dead?
@Miggysteez Out of reverence and respect. It's God with a CAPITAL G. Lower g indicates a lower Diety.
As Jesus Himself said in Matthew 11:28, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
So Sam, my answer is simple: We don’t need to pray to saints because Jesus is enough.

We're not paganism. You spoke with the spirit of the Anti-Christ.
1 John 4:2-3: "Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world".
The Anti-Christ is within yourself Brother.
Repent!
Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
Colossians 3:12
So the saints are omniscient and can listen to millions of people praying to them at the same time. Am I right?
Thank you brother Sam, may the holy saints in Heaven pray in your favor
All religions have faults, but when we read the Bible we re not reading of a religion but the Word of God, which is not a religion. The Bible does say about not making images of the on Heaven, on Earth on beneath the Earth. The ;prayer on the New Testaments is an example of how to pray. Along the Old testament God condemns because of Idols before God. So you Pray to God and you do it in Jesus name because God the Father will grant prayers done under His Son, but he will do them when God says it is time for it to happen.
"The Bible does say about not making images of the on Heaven, on Earth on beneath the Earth."
Exodus 25:18-20
Learn the difference between art and idols.
"Along the Old testament God condemns because of Idols before God."
The Israelites made the golden calf their god. They replaced, God the Father with an icon. You are arguing apples and oranges. Catholics are forbidden from worshiping idols. We don't replace God with statues and images.
"So you Pray to God and you do it in Jesus name because God the Father will grant prayers done under His Son, but he will do them when God says it is time for it to happen."
100% Catholic.
For your prayers to be granted, you need to have repented and confess -- be in a state of grace. Sam explained that in the video. God does not hear the prayers of sinners.
Thank you Father Jesus Christ for giving us your 2000 year old Catholic Church its to bad Martin Luther had to guid people away from the one true church on Halloween of 1517
"The bible does say not make images of the heaven" Ark of the covenant? What about that? You're taking the verses too literally. When you do that, you'll have to turn a blind eye to things in scripture that contradict your perspective.
@ why would I ask any other than God for myself, I can ask others to pray for me, but wouldn’t ask the Devil to pray for me would I. I admit that Catholics can be saved as well, but again the Bible is pretty clear about what idols and images are and that Baal. I have read the Bible’s says God mentioning other Gods, but doesn’t that comply with the trinity. I will pray for you as well not because am special but because God expects us to pray for others as well, we constantly pray for the Church, Catholics and other denominations. God Bless you and keep you firm in his word. I like your exposure of the Word.
If Mary was sinless why did she sacrifice a pigeon as a trespass offering according to levitical Law?
Purification After Childbirth
12 The Lord said to Moses, 2 “Say to the Israelites: ‘A woman who becomes pregnant and gives birth to a son will be ceremonially unclean for seven days, just as she is unclean during her monthly period..."
Because Mary rejoiced in God her Saviour,
Only sinners need a Saviour.
even Jesus followed the Jewish faith as a Jewish Rabbi....so this point does not make sense......
@@rjcav1239 The Lord Jesus came to fulfil the Law and the prophets as our kinsman redeemer.
How does that invalidate my point that Mary rejoiced in God her saviour?
How does that invalidate my point that Mary was a sinner?
The Catholic Church is also wrong on declaring Mary our Co-redemptrix.
The scriptures make it clear that Christ is our only sacrifice and Saviour.
Same as why Jesus received baptism, circumcision etc. Does God need baptism?
@@tiju.j Jesus was in our place fulfilling the law as our Kinsman Redeemer.
Mary is not our coredeemtrix nor mediatrix.
Jesus suffered Himself to be Baptised to fulfil all righteousness.
Mary rejoiced in God her Saviour,
Only sinners need a Saviour
@@xtnese Mary was also fulfilling the law. Now you know.
I really respect Sam, I'm a Catholic and I do find issues with the way the Catholic Church interprets the Scriptures. I wish he was maybe less harsh on the fellow christians who may have some doubts, questions on some things in the bible, especially when they obviously are not as versed on the Sriptures as Sam. Come on Sam, be a teacher as God gave you that gift. I love the way Sam defends Christianity against Islam as he puts a seed of doubt in the mulslim's heads. That seed of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior can grow in them over time... and hopefully all can be saved.
DEEP stuff one question ... if 10 people asked you to pray for them on earth at same time , you could need understand or relay their needs. so how can someone in heaven hear 10,000 people at the same time? thanks God Bless
Sam’s a pretty solid Catholic if u ask me😂
He is, what's funny about that?🤔
@ iv seen him say he’s a reformed Baptist
@@ProphetofShaddai He was once upon a time. Still don't understand what is funny.
You gotta learn to laugh in life brother. If you go out into the world with a hardened heart you ain’t saving no one lol we’re all in the same mission here don’t forget
@ I can’t save anyone. I can’t only tell them where the bread is. But I understand your sentiment.
The brother gave a good rebutal question if our prayers are hindered due to sin then how can we even pray/ask the saints to pray for us then surely it will be hindered too... Sam's answer was not convincing he kept likening saints on earth praying for each other and us who are on earth praying to saints in heaven thats a whole different thing
cope
Sam the Sham has fallen off the boat.
Deut. 18:11, "Or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead."
1 Chro. 10:13-14, "So Saul died for his breach of faith. He broke faith with the Lord in that he did not keep the command of the Lord, and also consulted a medium, seeking guidance. He did not seek guidance from the Lord. Therefore the Lord put him to death and turned the kingdom over to David the son of Jesse.
1 Tim. 2:5, "For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."
1 Tim. 4:1, "Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons."
Deut. 18:10-12, "There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord. And because of these abominations the Lord your God is driving them out before you."
To name a few verses addressing the abominations of the Catholic cult. I quit listening after a few minutes as I couldn't stand listening to Sam the Sham defending the practices of the anti-Christ cult.
ah, you false gospel readers ... Mt 22,32. Either you worship false god, or you you have to admit that God is not a God of dead (God is God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob even they are physically dead)
@@hipikll1 ????????????? Read it again.
31 “But regarding the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was spoken to you by God, saying,
32 ‘I AM THE GOD OF ABRAHAM, AND THE GOD OF ISAAC, AND THE GOD OF JACOB’? He is not the God of the dead but of the living.”
Legacy Standard Bible (Three Sixteen Publishing, 2022), Mt 22:31-32.
Did Jesus and apostles do necromancy during transfiguration? How did many dead saints appear to people in Jerusalem after the resurrection of Jesus?
@@tiju.j You are confused about BOTH accounts. Neither of these claims involves saints praying to dead saints.
@@PhuManchew So you went back from your necromancy claim?
Matthew 15:4 (KJV):
"For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death."
John 19:26-27 (KJV)
"When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home."
Glory be to the Father son and holy spirit as is was then is now a world with out end Amen
Sam is to quick to fight to slow to listen and full of insults. What a brother in Christ
Sam needs another Sam to debate him on this Catholic topic… this guy obviously wasn’t prepared and he lets himself get verbally manipulated very easily…
One day
GOD the FATHER ( YHWH) is the "One TRUE GOD! "
Jesus is the "Son of his FATHER."
Where does one debate him? What platform does he stream on?
To Whom do you refer?
@@raygsbrelcik5578 I want to debate sammy boy. By debate I mean tell him the truth. That Catholicism is false
Well done, Sam!
The first miracle Jesus ever did, water into wine, was done because of the intercession of our blessed mother.
@@stephenwinter7146 yeah dude, when she was alive because she asked her son, GOD, to intervene. She’s dead now and it remains clear that JESUS CHRIST isn’t good enough for Catholics. Mary would be utterly devastated and embarrassed that people pray to her.
@@VirtualVirtue23 So was Jesus not good enough for the family of Cana? If it was wrong then why did Jesus do the miracle?
It wasnt intercession. Christ already knew, “John 2:4”, Then mary’s expectation “John 2:5”, and normally when you have expectation you have belief right?
@@iLoveJesusChrist1-j2c Jesus made it crystal clear that it wasn't yet time for him to do miracles. Still he does it only because of intercession of Mary. He just waited for the Father to approve it. Because Jesus won't do anything against the will of the Father.
@@tiju.j No, John 2:4 implies his divine timing. He didnt do it not because of the intercession of mary, he already knows what he was suppose to do. Implying his divine timing.
ESV"Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.
Praise Lord Jesus. 🙏
My lord and Saviour is perfectly capable of answering my prayers ! He is the only mediator! Scripture also tells us Adonai doesn’t share his glory with no one ! Shalom in his love ❤️✝️🙏💙🇮🇱
Every person I've met and talked to that is catholic or from a catholic church has never been able to answer this one simple question "have you been born again?" And this is in the hundreds for me personally...There is no gospel being preached in a catholic church service...
You're mistaken to be sure. Catholics are born again the bible way, john 3.
Don't mislead people.
Firstly, I am Catholic and I am Born Again. Secondly, I assure you, the Gospel is being preached. Two gospel readings and an epistle every Sunday. Why do you lie?
@@LMC444111 You'd think lying is a sin and people know about that...
Yes. My personal experience. Neither is it taught you can know if you are saved.
@@LMC444111When? By the church? They taught you the scripture? Nope.
