Spot on with that comment. Yes, of course MPs should be properly competent in some way, shape or form, and a minimum working life of 20 years too. Far, far too many have never ever had a real job out in the big wide world. Even, and I apologise to real binmen, working for 10 years as a binman would be a big improvement compared to the CVs of some of the morons attempting to pass themselves off as being competent managers of United Kingdom PLC.
That disgusting Labour MP that said " you never see a poor farmer" obviously has never been near a farm. It's also a bit hypocritical of her as you never see a poor MP, especially when they claim all their expenses even on second homes, and get all these freebies like free glasses, suits and accommodation in fancy houses. They wouldn't know a hard days work even if it jumped up and slapped them across the face
Evening Olly, quick question....are you deficient in Vitamin D? With all the dull weather and being indoors so much, your body might not be manufacturing enough, might be worth taking a supplement. Always feeling tired can be a sign of Vitamin D deficiency. Best wishes and kind regards
We revamped the village bus stop with solar powered light. The panel did not last long before vanishing one night. Not surprised to hear about your cameras. Law only applies to those who observe it!
Superb blog Olly - Quote of the day has to be - “I’m worried some of them can’t even run a bath” referring to government members having had no training!! 😂 You’re so right. Hope you get a good nights sleep 💤 😊
Speaking to a local farmer today, their tax advisor is setting up their farm as a partnership, with all family members as partners, which will alleviate some of their fears over this tax change.
Who in the houses of Parliament have actually had a real job or actually ran a business. Bet it's very low especially when you get into the top of the 2 main parties.
I Always think that. You have appoint somebody as chancellor ( arguably the most Finnic ally technical job in the government) and you don’t need any qualification for it. You would think at the very least you would need some accountancy experience.
Problem is all the crap civil servants. Some are good but many have no idea of what it’s like to work for a business. They get promoted up the ranks not for doing a great job but by some really daft ethos of it’s not what you know it’s how well you get on with the other managers! Seriously I’ve never seen such a shit show as I did doing a few government contracts. If they quit they then get themselves hired back as consultants on crazy hourly rates. A lot don’t quit though as they would lose so much in perks and pensions. So they just stay hating their job and do the bare minimum of work. Worst places I ever worked and never again. Don’t get me started on how much money they waste on none-sense and crap.
Great video Olly MPs should have to take a oath and if they, have found to have lied they should be charged with and possibly, put in jail or at least a 5 figure sum 👍👍 that’s definitely you about 20 years old
115% with great dialysis, including student and trainee nurses both showing more common sense than cute but dim would when I had lowish BP but no headache and good GCS. Weather another grey day. 3 yellow cars. MPs - Kimi Badenough (sic) "Sandwiches are not food", so what did I have for lunch (2 slices of bread, 3 of roast beef and a cupasoup)?
The thing about the government is that, all though they like to down play it, behind the MPs are the civil service in the various ministries who are supposed to have the experience. When it goes wrong the ones really at fault are the civil service who clearly did a terrible job at advising/controlling the MPs. While MPs have a mandate to direct the direction of the civil service you would expect the civil service to have some professionalism and provide advice to a new ministers when they take a wrong turn. The modern civil service clearly need a refresher course from Sir Appleby.
Hi olly, a great video, I was thinking the same on how could a Mp run a agricultural department when they no nothing about it, and the same with any other department.
Great video Olly the tractor looks fantastic with the lights on ..your right about the mps they couldn't make a cup of tea ...😀😀😀😀60% SUPPORT BRITISH FARMING 👍
Totally agree about mps need business qualifications. A country is a should be run as a business. For all Trump’s faults he at least knows about businesses
Over here (Aus) we have the same incompetence from the political leaders, beyond clueless. I often say the first twelve people I meet in a day could do a better job of running a country.
If farms are a business then why should they be subsidised and be exempt from IHT that other business people are forced to pay? It seems that the argument comes down to "no farmers, no food" everytime though. Fisherman could say the same but they don't get half the perks farmers do.
The people attempting to run our country have been to university and think because they have a degree in economics and business development management this then qualifies them to run a country without repercussions. Sadly the ill effects of this are being felt because of the incompetencies of the dim views of Westminster believing that farmers are the easy target by slamming them with the bpr and apr tax. Surely they are starting to realise they've got it catastrophically wrong and need to hold their hands up and ask for adult supervision when using their crayons before writing up anymore daft policies.
They couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery, but then again there wont be any brewery's they will have taxed them out of business like they are trying to do the farmers. The tractors are looking good with the lights on , 70% Today
Hi Olly 2 30 am, xx 75%, dull day look after yourself and your family,

To you and all farmer's hope you enjoy Xmas to the best of your ability if you can.
Great video Olly keep up the great work you are doing
The one reason someone wants to be an MP should be the one reason that stops them !!
Evening Olly, quick question....are you deficient in Vitamin D? With all the dull weather and being indoors so much, your body might not be manufacturing enough, might be worth taking a supplement. Always feeling tired can be a sign of Vitamin D deficiency. Best wishes and kind regards

Who in the houses of Parliament have actually had a real job or actually ran a business. Bet it's very low especially when you get into the top of the 2 main parties.
No member of the cabinet has ever run a business or been self employed - which just shows

Olly they can’t run a country but they can’t make themselves millionaires, funny that isn’t
I take it that's a typo because amazingly the majority of politicians do become millionaires
