After 200000 kms + exploring Australia on 4 BMW GSA's over the years, I can safely say there's still no place I'd rather be than on the back of the legendary rhino.
Awesome video! I recently went to my BMW dealer to get a service done on my r1250gs. The r1300gsa in person is a beautiful bike. The pictures don't do it justice. Great review. Best!
@ high centre of gravity, compromise tyres and suspension, usually daft wheel size and overweight. Hardly ever used off road so a pointless compromise for the majority of riders, just like its 4 wheel counterparts. Have tried a few Multistradas and GS to see what I thought and hated them.
Good shout to describe the ASA in practice, as I was wondering how it work without a clutch when climbing up a mountain pass on tight hairpins with narrow roads and a full touring load.
Correct and I love it! If I were to sell my car and all my bikes and could only pick one bike to replace them all (and I wouldn’t live in a city where this would get stolen within hours) the 1300GSA would be a serious contender.
Could you please do a review of a fully speced bike with asa, full luggage & lowering, it should come to around the £27,000 mark by my calculations according to the configuration.
The biggest problem with the 1200/1250 is 50 lbs. too much weight and soft suspension. Fix those issues and BMW has a winner. And ASA is stupid. Real motorcycle riders don't want an auto trans.
Best all round review on the new GSA 👍

You made some very relevant (to me) points nobody else has mentioned yet. Well done, and thank you.
Another 2 wheel SUV. Great.
No man, this a full size truck...
@@v992_ No, it s a 2-wheeled locomotive
why not?
Good luck getting those monsters out of the ditch on a rainy muddy road side after sticking it or dropping!

When Carl talks about stature, I listen

Looks like a motorcycle that's had a head on crash with a fax machine.

What’s the brand/type helmet beside you ?
1300 GSA......designed by Lego, built by Stevie Wonder, driven by wannabes.
Put that mobile phone away. You don't need it. You have what it takes in person. Well done. y y

LOL, no motorcycle for old men.
Why on earth you buy a 30k adventure bike just to travel?
You can buy way more cheap bikes and go around the world 🌍
If someone has 30K to drop on a bike, I doubt they care.
HD sells bikes for more that do a lot less.
