I have used the Link Bracelet since my first stainless steel Apple watch (series 2). After I upgraded to the stainless steel series 4, I purchased another Link Bracelet due to numerous scratches in the band. I have since discovered that a green Scotch Bright pad will remove the scratches. I recently purchased the Ultra and have paired the Link Bracelet with it. I agree with your assessment; they complement one another. BTW, I removed three links too.
After thinking about how crazy it would be to spend $350 or $450 for one of these Apple link bands I actually did it! I got the Space Black, the more expensive of the two and use it with my new series 8 stainless steel graphite. Yeah, it's expensive but the thing is great. Probably one of the best designed 'thing' or 'object' I have ever bought. The back story that nudged me to do it was this: I inherited my Dad's Rolex about 2 years ago after he passed away. I never wore it much as I'm not much of a 'luxury watch' guy. But he really loved that watch so I definitely am keeping it as a personal memento even though there's a large 2nd hand market for Rolexes. Since I wanted an Apple watch, getting this link band for it, kind of 'channels the Rolex thing' and I figured it would be an homage to my late father; he would have wanted me to get it. So, I'm very pleased with this purchase for a few different reasons.
Thanks for the video, this was useful as I was thinking about the same comb. One comment on the video - it would be helpful if you did more slow panning shots so we could see the different angles of the watch on your wrist. You were cutting and moving very quick and it was hard to appreciate the aesthetics of the combo.
Looks stunning on the Ultra. I have this same bracelet which I got way back with the Series 2. I do look after it and it's still like new. Thanks also for confirming that this particular strap will fit the Ultra, as it mentions in the compatibility section for the link bracelet 42, 44, 45mm models. I have small wrists, what I would describe as women's sized wrists. I must admit earlier on with the Apple Watch Ultra when I seen them on videos I thought they looked ridiculous on small wrists, but as time went on, they have certainly grown on me, to the point where I am probably going to order the Apple Watch Ultra next time they are updated. I expect the size difference on how it looked and feels on my wrist, after a few days of wearing it, I would be used with it, and not really notice how large it looked on my wrist anymore.
How comfortable is the band. I have a nomad link band. I feel its heavy, been wanting apple link band for a long time now. Just dont know if it’s worth the money. In terms of comfortability

There’s a band on best buy for 40$ that in my local store it was half priced so 20$ and it’s stainless steel and has a butterfly closing also. The apple band isn’t worth 350+ at all not in any world is it worth that insane price tag. Edit: the band is call platinum stainless steel link band for Apple Watches.
Any high quality stainless steel band is going to be expensive. My Rolex stainless steel band was over $500. The concern with those $20 knock-offs is that they cannot last. One brand even said not to get it wet! I chose stainless steel Submariner Rolex 50+ years ago because it’s almost indestructible and I wore it 24hrs a day for over 40 years. The $350 for the Apple band isn’t out of line with a quality band.
Hey, I just purchased a 42mm silver link bracelet for the Apple Watch Ultra. Customer service reached out to tell me it’s not compatible with the Ultra because it needs to be the 45mm band to fit the 49mm case. So is this true? What band do you have?
No, that is not true! I bought the 42mm Silver Link Bracelet and it works great with my Apple Watch Ultra! You should send them a link to this video haha. 😂 The Apple Watch Ultra is compatible with 42, 44, 45, and 49mm Apple Watch bands.
This is by far my favorite Apple Watch band and I think it’s worth the price. I paid $250 for a space gray stainless steel band from Nomad to go with my Series 7 and it pinches my wrist at times and is more difficult to adjust. One recommendation I would make is to order a polishing kit to buff out scratches. I found one several years ago and it works great.
Really? You find that easier? I find install/removal is easier by putting in / taking out both connections to watch at the same time. Sure, undoing links is easy, but it's a bit more difficult (to reach in and hit the button) when the strap is on the watch.
@@__Gray__ Thanks for the reply. Hmmmm, Ok. Yeah, I think I was assuming that...that the clasp would be undone thus giving more slack to make it easier. I guess I still find my method easier as you have to make the two connections to the watch case anyway, and it's no big deal to do them in coordination with each other. But I'll try your way a few times to see. I will say that I'm real pleased with the design of this link bracelet and the ability to resize it. In my case, after I first got it, I needed to remove 3 links to get the correct fit. I experimented with taking off 4 links but that was too tight. The ease of resizing made it simple and fast to try two different sizes in order to get the best one.
@@jonRboy Do you find it a tight fit on the Ultra? Almost put me off using it. That was until I remembered the trick I use on stiff house keys. I rub the end of a pencil over the contact areas as the graphite works great as a lubricant. Still a little tight but slid in much easier. The Space Black looks great but I'm keeping alook out for a mint 2nd hand plain steel one. Although not a perfect match, I feel it suits the titanium better. Just wish Apple would make a Ti one, very unlikely though.
It actually cheapens the watch. I have the same band that I used for a previous version of the Apple Watch in shinny stainless steel. Looked good but fit either loose or too snug. With the ultra, which is thicker in appearance, it makes it look like a cheap Seiko watch. Return it and get a very good copy of this band on Amazon.
@@Warenotice I think it completely changes the look of the Ultra and turns it into a very serviceable iWatch rather than the Marketing Department ‘extreme’ hype.

Yep the cheap Amazon ones are actually getting crazy good. So good to the point I’m only buying solo loops from apple (for the perfect fit). People who’s never bought one will keep mocking them.
Something that ‘looks’ the same today isn’t likely going to look the same in one year. Stainless steel bands are expensive. I was surprised to see $40 and under bands claiming to be SS. It will be interesting to hear the long-term experience after wearing one all the time in the water and daily wear. My only other experience was a $500+ SS band for my Rolex Submariner. Certainly name might increase price a bit, but quality was there and I wore my watch 24hrs a day for over 40 years and only rarely removed it. A $40 ‘SS’ knock-off won’t provide anything like that service.

Had the stainless steel band since the apple watch 3 series, other than some minor scratches it still stands the test of time. Totally worth it.

Get the Nomad titanium Apple Watch band v2. It's a much better upgrade than the link bracelet.
I wish they made the same band in actual titanium. The color difference is a put off for me
I want Apple to make the link bracelet in Titanium with the same finish as the ultra. Works for the other Apple titanium as well.

Nomad titanium band is cheaper and suits the Ultra better. It also has a sturdy magnetic open close mechanism. Just love it.
I have the same metal link bracelet. It doesnt match the Ultra color wise. Much better alternatives on the market for less.
