The kids are very HAPPY !
The only down side is , that it works best on a bare tree....with no interference from decorations . Baubles , tinsel and other traditionals will get in the way of the effect. Surely ? ...... maybe I'm wrong....I cant tell if this tree has baubles etc ....

I don’t have the Twinkly RGB lights, currently have Phillips RGB icicle lights wrapped around my tree, full of ornaments and I can see the light shows.
Took a month for these lights to be delivered which is a week before Christmas which is super late to put up my lights and they look nothing like that video. They're cool lights but there's no instructions on how to use the app and work the lights. It's all trial and error and those designs are not available like the video shows. The ad is a big lie!

You need to make your lights compatible with all operating systems. Not fair.
The burning question in my mind is are the lights around the tree 360 degrees and does it map them all? Or are the lights only on the sides we see in the video?
You take multiple pictures to get the 3D picture. You can choose either 2D or 3D

That tree has 2 sets of 400 count. Right now (Nov 2019) there's a shortage of 400 count sets due to the popularity of Twinkly products. On our website we normally sell a 400 count for about $200. So it would be $400 USD to light a tree like this. But keep in mind that the lights are LED and will last many years. So on a yearly basis, that works out to a very reasonable price for an interactive light set. @@Karmakazeez unfortunately our next shipment will not be in until June/July of next year. Since these are seasonal lights and the demand is far more than anyone anticipated, nearly every seller sold out and there are not any more available for resupply. The factory will be working on their new product line soon, which will start shipping in the spring.

Question. According to the website calculator, if i have 7 ft tree and will do 3D, i needed 1200 lights. Can i do 2 of 600s? Instead of doing 3 of 400s? Another question, can u connect them together? Thanks

You can try erasing device effects in case there is one stuck there...Keep in mind if you have downloaded any effects it will remove them.

How many lights or length is needed for a 12 ft tree with a 6 ft diameter at the base
For medium coverage we recommend about 100 bulbs per foot. For heavier coverage, increase that to 150 per foot.

This product was developed and originally developed in Europe and is widely available throughout that region. I'd recommend going to Twinkly.com and click on "Where To Buy".
If you link to sets on the app, would they make 1 scene?
If all the sets are in the same group, they will play the same effect. How you map them will determine how the display looks. I hope this helps!

Can you combine 2 sets of lights and have the same effects or mix it up?
Multiple sets can be synced together via the app so that they are perfectly in sync. If you wanted to mix it up into a random pattern, you can do that via a custom design within the app.

I bought these last year didn’t come with a plug also not as great as advertised. Not simple to recreate the look they show you and all I could get them to do was change colour.

Hi David, I apologize for the confusion. The 16 million that we discuss in the Twinkly videos are the color options that twinkly offers. You can change most of the effects to different colors of your choosing. Currently there are a ton of effects that are preloaded into the app and then the ones that you can download from the store.
As of 11/29/2022 the items in the Twinkly store are free to download. If you are seeing that it costs money, please verify that you have downloaded the correct app. It should be a gold app with a star in the middle of it (Twinkly by LEDworks SRL)

Twinkly does have capability with some android devices that will work Home/Retail products. If you want them to control your lights, they would have to log into your account on their phone. Twinkly can only have 1 account per Twinkly device. Android devices will have limited features compared to IPhone but they would be able to change the effects. Hope this helps answer your question.

Would a 105 starter set be enough for a six ft tree?
We generally recommend about 100 bulbs per foot, but it can depend on the base diameter of the tree. For a 6' tree, we'd recommend between 500 and 700 bulbs. So it would take anywhere from 5 to 7 of those sets.

Yes, it is available in Canada from various retailers. I head that Canadian Tire was offering it, but many places are sold out at this time.

Will this have an all white option as well?
The standard Twinkly Home RGB will do pure white without a problem, but warm white is not as good. If you want the best white options, you'll need to go with an RGBW set. The "W" signifies that it can achieve better whites with a fourth color diode rather than just Red/Green/Blue.

Give me the "back in the day" C7 retro bulbs that I grew up with. The ones shown are unique but just doesn't do it for me. It's just too commercialized and "busy" for my taste.

No, in order for this to work you have to use either Twinkly Home or Twinkly Pro RGB lights.
