    Thank you for including your MSFS settings as well. Personally I get better results using TAA than DLSS. Especially inside Airliner cockpits like the B737, but a lot of your other settings have really helped me. Thank you.

    Between this and your detailed VR content you are providing some flight sim content that no one else is and at a really high level. Keep it up, you are going to blow up. I really appreciate you showing your settings at the end of the video, that's a nice touch!

      Sir! If it's anything like the experience i've had you're going to love it. If you have an Aero, then you're probably a 'tinkerer'.. the Crystal is like the Aero except the VFOV is much larger, the colours brighter, the image a little sharper, and the eye-tracking is "set it and forget it".. I haven't calibrated or messed with it since August.. it's that good!

    Epic video!!!! How do you manage to have so smooth and wonderful graphics without any stutter, etc???

    • @tallymouse
      @tallymouse  7 месяцев назад +1

      The eye-tracking/dynamic foveated rendering is what makes the difference. MSFS was a bit of a stuttery joke for me before, even with a 4090. Using OpenXR and PimaxXR with the Crystal set up correctly has made me spend just as much time in MSFS as I do DCS.. whereas before it was a 2:98 split in favor of DCS!

    @johnraahauge4552 6 месяцев назад +1

    Is it only in MSFS you are running 120 Hz and then Lock to half framerate in PimaxXR or do you now run DCS like that as well?

    • @tallymouse
      @tallymouse  6 месяцев назад +1

      I run DCS at 90Hz native, with QuadViews/QuadViews-Companion

    • @johnraahauge4552
      @johnraahauge4552 6 месяцев назад

      What exactly is OpenComposite_DCS? It’s selected on my OpenXR toolkit Companion. I know of course what OpenComposite is, but where does this particular entry come from.

    • @tallymouse
      @tallymouse  6 месяцев назад

      @@johnraahauge4552 OpenComposite was/is a DLL that basically hijacks the stream going to SteamVR and routes it to OpenXR instead, so you can play OpenVR games in OpenXR. DCS has been OpenXR native for about a year now, so you may want to consider uninstalling OpenComposite completely, and just run DCS through OpenXR (which is native), as you'll better performance running directly.

    • @johnraahauge4552
      @johnraahauge4552 6 месяцев назад

      @@tallymouseyes, I did that already. I have a checkmark also in DCS.exe. I was just wondering where OpenComposite_DCS comes into the picture and what file it references.
      Is it maybe the non MT exe or is it the release and not beta version of DCS?
      My shortcut to DCS has the forced OpenXR and MT additions.

    I have so many questions:
    You are running 120Hz, locked framerate with compulsive smoothing. Turbo mode on which prevents motion smoothing.Then in MSFS you have motion smoothing on at a Depth setting. How all these setting interact with each other, if turbo mode disables motion smoothing.
    Dynamic Foverated Rendering is set to balanced in Pitools, does that overide the custom setting in the OpenXR Toolkit?

    • @tallymouse
      @tallymouse  7 месяцев назад

      Everything in Pimax Play is turned off except resolution set to Maximum. Smart smoothing is OFF. Pimax Play DFR settings have no effect over OpenXR, only OpenVR... the PimaxXR and OpenXR toolkit OSD settings are the ones driving the OpenXR layer, with PimaxXR locked to half rate of 60Hz, which permits the MSFS VR settings i am running.
