Great video, I really loved how you gave us a multiple display of your dogfight with 4 different views including your head view and tac view is a stroke of genius, I have never seen anyone do this before, great idea! Had my Crystal a few weeks now with no issues and great performance with image quality, this is my first VR headset and use it mainly for DCS which is fantastic with the Crystal!

I've had the headset since June and all the features you're mentioning that aren't available to us it's like we have 2 separate products. Im really trying to like this thing but the biggest selling point was the foveated rendering. Without that and the other advertised features, it's hard to ignore the rest of it's flaws.

It is impressive!! Unbelievable image clarity and a lot of functionalities. With DFR you can also have impressive performance...💪 Tested yesterday with DCS, 70 to 90 fps on a pretty complex scene.. Just impressive!!

I was able to read the markings on the mavericks mounted on the F16 that was flying in formation with me... you can also read all the gauges and mfd's without moving your head. There's no difference with the screen. This is where this headset really stands out. Thanks for watching!!
i'm able to see enemy aircrafts more than 20 miles away. Obviously i'm not able to identify which aircraft it is but i can see it. I didn't tried with ground targets, i will try.

Yeah, this is the VR dilemma... on the quest 2 you can look down and you are able to see a little bit outside the headset but it's harder on the Crystal. The best solution is to bind as much controls as you can in order to access them directly through your joysticks instead of using the keyboard. Thanks for watching!!

Buongiorno Doc. Sono ancora io. Ti vorrei rubare un secondo per avere un tuo parere circa la messa a fuoco sulle lenti del Pimax. Espongo una piccola premessa: fino a pochi giorni fa usavo assiduamente il Metaquest 3 su flight simulator con lenti pancake e tutto sommato, a dispetto di compressione e artefatti, riuscivo a mettere bene a fuoco le immagini sia su i particolari vicini che quelli distanti. Ora che uso il Pimax e aver regolato tutto come da te consigliato, ho notato che nonostante tutte le regolazioni eseguite non riesco a mettere a fuoco la visione. come se fossi miope di qualche grado. La cosa si accentua parecchio sopra tutto sugli elementi distanti. ho regolato la distanza inter pupillare in maniera automatica, e provato a fare anche piccoli aggiustamenti in piu o meno per mettere a fuoco senza risultato . La maschera e' ben centrata sul volto , l'interfaccia di controllo del visore conferma il buon piazzamento. La doppia stringa sopra la testa rimane ben tesa e sostiene molto bene il visore senza farlo calare di altezza. Comincio ad avere il dubbio che possa avere delle lenti malfatte, oppure di avere gli occhi troppo vicino alle lenti. Non ho idea quale sia la distanza di convergenza fuori dalla lente, ma mi pare che allontanando la un poco le cose migliorino anche se non drasticamente. Ogni impressione o consiglio e' ben gradita. Ti ringrazio in anticipo per l'eventuale Risposta. P.S. hai una gran bella voce......Mai pensato al Doppiaggio?
Buongiorno Luca, la sfocatura può dipendere dall'IPD, distanza interpupillare, o dal posizionamento scorretto del visore sulla tua faccia. Se hai già provato a perfezionare IPD e posizionamento del visore sulla faccia, potresti provare a regolare l'IPD offset, nelle opzioni advanced del Crystal. Se ancora non dovessi risolvere, potrebbe essere un problema delle lenti e in questo caso, loro consigliano di provare a riposizionare le lenti seguendo come guida questo video: ruclips.net/video/nllGEKns-_8/видео.html P.s Grazie mille! Grazie dei consigli, ero già incappato in mattinata nel video da te riportato e ho smontato e riposizionato le lenti , poi ho provato a gestire l off set dell ipd senza risultato. Ma alla fine ho avuto la conferma del problema delle lenti. Mi sono fatto prestare dal mio vicino di appartamento i suoi occhiali da vista con gradazione +1'25. Guardando con quelli attraverso il visore le immagine ad offset azzerati è diventata istantaneamente chiara. Mentre usandoli sul quest' 3 e sul rift s ho lamentato problemi di messa a fuoco. Visori che non mi hanno mai dato problemi del genere. Vedendoci bene direi che ormai l' evidenza del difetto optometrico delle lenti sia conclamato. Ho aperto un ticket a Pimax . Speriamo che rispondano in tempi accettabili. Purtroppo non ho trovato sul loro store la possibilità di acquistare delle lenti di ricambio . Spero di non dover fare il reso completo. Il visore è certamente top ma allo stato attuale con questo difetto mi crea solo mal di testa. Per ora torno a volare su quest' 3 speranzoso di una soluzione da Pimax
Mi dispiace... Non ho ancora provato il Quest 3 ma dubito che abbia la stessa qualità dell'immagine. Probabilmente, ti manderanno un paio di lenti nuove prima del reso totale. Ti segnalo inoltre un'azienda americana che mi ha sponsorizzato un video recentemente. Ti confermo che non cè differenza tra visore e schermo. Non ha esagerato! Io sono rimasto di stucco quando ho potuto leggere le scritte sui missili dell'aereo che volava in formazione con me..
This is not a review , this is an advertisement. You are telling exactly what Pimax wanted you tell. You didn’t tell even one negative about a headset, like it’s the smallest FOV from all Pimax headsets, the heaviest one, has a series connecting issues, tracking is far to perfect. But the last comment really makes me laugh a lot, Pimax is well organised company:-)? The is the best joke ever.
I said that i had an issue, windows did not recognized the headset but it was easily solved. I said that is big but it is well balanced. As i mentioned, this is the first time i'm dealing with a pimax headset so i don't know what to tell you about the FOV which seem normal too me.. The inside/out tracking is perfect and i showed you... i mean, i moved a lot my head during the dogfight and as you can see there was no issues. I spoke to them directly and they seemed serious and organized TO ME... So let me understand, you bought a Crystal and you had some problem with it right? Do you know that if you had some issue it doesn't mean that everybody had? Writing trash comments under other's reviews can't help you with your problems, maybe it would be better to talk to Pimax directly... and please, pay more attention when you watch a video... Pimax customer support is shockingly bad. Their warranty is worthless! I got an 8KX which was faulty within 6 weeks. Pimax have had this now for 6 months and all I want is either a replacement or refund. Their responce, $350 off my next purchase. You what!? What about the 12 month warranty!? Nope. $350 off after a failure of their headset after 6 weeks! AVOID PIMAX!

Imagine professional video cameras such as Sony, Canon and others. They start at around $1500 body only (Panasonic Lumix S5). You have to buy lenses on top. Basically they have a body, sensor and other electronics and a small battery. In Pimax Crystal, you have a body, 2 high resolution screens, many cameras, processor, 2 large batteris, set of glass lenses, 2 controllers, headphones and cables. You could argue that cameras are overpriced as well and I would agree.
The massive issue for me is the lack of customer support. They don't honour their warranty. My headset was faulty within 6 weeks. After 6 months with Pimax they have offered me $350 off a future purchase. What about the 12 month warranty - nope. AVOID

How do you access the buttons and other controls if you don't see them due to the VR headset?
Yeah, this is the VR dilemma... on the quest 2 you can look down and you are able to see a little bit outside the headset but it's harder on the Crystal.
