Thank you for defending minoxidil for those who chose to use it! I've been using for 2 years and LOVE it. Your story is very similar to mine. I believe that any small risks this medication may have is worth it now that I have a full head of hair. Also...those that say "it's only hair" need to be reminded that hair care is a billion dollar industry. Why? Because healthy beautiful hair is desirable! So happy for you!

A woman on minoxidil getting pregnant can cause birth defects to a developing fetus. Also men too. Minoxidil is in the blood stream that also feeds the baby. Can be in the breast milk too. Birth defects are real

It all started after I nursed my 2 babies. Then I faced postpartum, and now hair loss. Now, I have a dermatologist whom I love. She 1st did my blood test, and regularly gave me Rx. My dermatologist is my savior. Things us moms go through. Minoxidil helps 100%. I use it daily in small amount. Thank you Lisa for sharing your story.

I've been using minoxidil solution 5% since January, and was very happy about it. Unfortunately it has led to a minor seborrheic dermatitis.... You see I apply it at night and the next morning my head is itching and red. Meanwhile
I am experiencing another episode of hair fall the past 20 days, so not being able to use it everyday makes me nervous. I believe your determination to use it consistently is correct. You have to be realistic about it, and also patient. It takes about 8 months to judge if it is really working for you. I wish you the best!!! ❤

Hi Lisa, I came across the video you made 2 years ago about you losing your hair and how traumatic it was every time you showered. You even posted a picture of how much hair you were losing. I couldn’t relate to you more. I know exactly how you were feeling because that’s how I feel now that I’m going through the same thing. I immediately looked for a more recent video of you to see your journey update and I saw this one. It caught my attention because it is about Minoxidil. I want to share with you my experience with it. I started using Minoxidil 5 years ago when I was 39yrs old. I did a full research before I started so I knew the side effects and the whole process. I,like you, and many others started seeing great results. I knew if I stopped using it my (temporary) hair would fall out again. Knowing this, I decided to stop using it on January 2024. After using it for 5 years twice a day I got tired. First I thought my hair was going to fall out as soon as I stoped but it didn’t. One, two, three, four weeks went by and no hair was falling out. To be honest, I thought I was off the hook. I thought I was lucky and completely forgot about it. On March 2024 my hair started to fall like crazy!! I had no idea what was going on. I blamed the stress I was going through so I bought pills for stress, used essential oils to calm me down, but my hair kept falling out badly!😢
I cried every time ai showered. I even stopped using my hair products( I have wavy hair)I stopped my supplements since I thought they were maybe too many. You named it, I tried it. It’s been almost two months now and I’m still shedding. Not until last week I remembered about Minoxidil, I searched up and yes it says your hair start to fall out from 3-6 months after you stop using it. In a way it gave me peace to know it was that and not anything else. I even thought someone gave me the evil eye 🧿
Long story short, yes Mioxidil does work, and as you know it does fall out once you stop using it. I’m just sharing this with you for you to be prepared. The shedding is no joke and is terrible!!!😢😢
I’m still shedding after 2 months. I’ve lost 45-50% of my hair. This is nothing against Mioxidol since it does work and it does warns you about the side effects once you stop using it. I’m just sharing this with you because you said you’ll eventually stop once you decide to have babies. Please be mentally prepared🙏🏻 My hair didn’t go back how I had it when I was 39yrs old. My hair aged to my current age 44 in 2 months. This is still a journey, I’m planing to stop my current shampoo since maybe now is too strong for my weak scalp. If that doesn’t work iIm definitely going to see a doctor. I’ll keep you and everyone that is going through this in my prayers. Is not easy but you’re not alone and we will prevail❤️

what a total waste of nearly 20min. This is an awful experience video, you dont say the version of minoxidil you used, the dosage , the regularity of application, the documented changes that you noticed or any side effects. plus you say you started in feb and this video is june and your hair is the healthiest its ever been but even if we say your hair is super fast growing the most any growth could be is 2.5", so theoretically your hair cant look that much different than it did in feb. if you mean that your the happiest youv ever been with the quality of growth and lack of loss that wasnt worded well. i would have titled the video something else like " why i decided to take minoxidil"

    • @LisavanWyk_

It’s literally titled my minoxidil experience. The dosage I take etc etc. is irrelevant as you should seek medical advice for that. Not a video from the internet. The minoxidil stopped my hair loss therefore my hair felt thicker and healthier. I also have tons of videos explaining the other treatments I do besides minoxidil.
Wow you’re mean haha - imagine commenting this on someone’s video. I don’t owe you anything.
