I’m undecided if Cena should have that final heel run. I feel like if they do go for it, the fans will cheer him no matter what, and it will be like 2000s rock all over again. Either way I’d like him to beat flairs record as records are made to be broken
The problem is I don't see it happening. I mean rumor is Cody VS Rock at 41 for the title with The Rock going over and if that happens I don't see The Rock losing it to Cena because he will hold it till 42 when he fights Roman. By that point Cena is gone. I don't think the record counts if he beats whoever is holding the other championship
Nahh I can't see him turning heel at this point for the last run because the fans ain't gonna boo him at this point because he's reached that level of legend status where the fans now show him respect and love when he comes back. If they were gonna do they should have done it in 2011-2012 like he wanted to before or after the nexus angle but apparently Vince and the others weren't keen on that
Cena never really fell off. Kind of the Tom Brady of wrestling. He never really got bad he had slow moments because of who he worked with but never really fell off. The last memories we have are him at his peak. Truly an amazing run.
you clearly haven't seen his recent matches.. he's not washed up or anything but he's clearly lost a couple steps, he can still go but to say he never fell off isn't true

He's completely right, the Rock is a phony and Cena talks forever but says nothing. Brian is the fan who put up with the nonsense of the PG era and expects more.
The one title Cena hasn’t won is the IC title. The feud between Bron (once he wins the title) and Cena could be great for all. Brons growth, Cena finally winning the IC title and Bron winning it back. Hope it gets booked!
When WWE says they broke the sales record, it usually means that they raised the ticket price for that show in that arena. You would be breaking records left and right if you raise ticket prices everywhere you go.
I think he's been wanting to do this for a while, his hearts still in it, but besides that big return pop the man has done everything. Sure it'll be nice if he goes up against Orton or Punk, but that's almost more for them and us than any box he needs to check. I'm not going to be a hypocrite and say I always loved the guy, there was a period where I was on the "Cena Nuff" train for sure. As any true great, he won me back over and seeing him was like an old friend wanting to shoot a few hoops. I wish him nothing but continued success, we'll deserved rest, and thank you John Cena, your time is up, but you never let us down.
Been a helluva ride been watching Cena since I was 9 or 10 years old. WM 23, 24, Raw 1000, MITB 2011. He has been in some awesome feuds. Il miss him a lot. Hopefully he runs it back with Punk and Orton next year before he hangs it up.
WWE rarely comes to where I live (normally just a house show if that), if they do next year and Cena is on the card they could probably do it at a stadium and sell it out
John Cena came to a show in India last year that I was supposed to go to. But I got sick at the last hour and couldn't go. It hurts to think that I may never see him live again now that he's retiring.
I was born in 2000 so I grew up during the ruthless aggression era of WWE and to say John Cena is my favorite wrestler would be an understatement. It’s gonna be a bittersweet moment to see his final match
As much as I ragged on Cena for years,I have grown more appreciation for him. He really carried WWE on his back for years and I feel a lot of fans took him for granted. Met him as well at a comic con. Really nice guy and thats a memory of him that I will cherish
His final math should only be: Angle Austin Punk R-Truth (as a heel, then turn him face during the match). Miz Shinsuke Anything else won't matter. At all.
Going by the allusions Cena made in the press conference, the idea of the long-term retirement tour has been in the locker for a while, theyve just been waiting for the right time for it. What better way to guaratee an amazing first year on Netflix than with a year long angle with one of the companies top stars. It wouldnt suprise me if WWE start doing even more of these mega-long term bookings to gauarentee the netflix numbers. It's also a very strong show of strength from HHH that the success that his WWE has brought itnhear to stay 🤔
That's just awesome, when he says "happier than a pig in poop." With all of the other profanities thrown during these clips, he says poop instead of shit? LOL LOL LOL
He said he'll do 30-40 dates, which probably means at least 6 PLEs, probably more because he said Rumble, Chamber and Mania, which are back to back to back. I'm sure he'll do SummerSlam and at least one of the shows in Saudi Arabia, but I'm sure there will be another show in the UK and either France, Germany or Italy and something else in another country. I think he'll wrestle a few house shows and he'll apoear often on Raw and SmackDown.
Am I the only one who thought this was weird? Made it sound like WM would be his final match but then in the post-show interview said he wanted to work for most of 2025. Just seemed premature. Any other job you wouldn't be saying thank you to a guy and wishing him well on his retirement when he still has a year left in the office lol. I guess its just promotion for a retirement tour but still.
It was odd. Shades of the weird month or two where Moxley said he was quitting WWE and tried to walk out at random one day, but the office held his contract over his head and made him do the most awkward a mini farewell tour across America with Rolleigns saying goodbye to fans every night for weeks.
It's gonna be very gloomy when he has his last match. I'm still surprised how he's hoping to go a full year tho. I don't expect him to have more than 4-5 singles matches tho.
The bad part of announcing something like this is WTF HAPPENS IF HE GETS INJURED? He already said 2025 is the end of the road so I highly doubt he pushes it back especially considering how much more susceptible you are to injury the older you get. If you want to see Cena I'd say book a trip to Indy for the Rumble that way you're pretty much guaranteed to see him. Look what just happened to Punk, he made his big return at the Rumble this year and got injured so he's been on the sidelines the entire time and I can see Cena doing the exact same thing. Also I thought Corny was going to say Trish doesn't talk for 15 minutes straight but she does move her mouth that long while doing other things. Hawk Tuah to you too.
On the flip side, Chris Jericho could make just as much money for AEW with HIS retirement tour, by letting AEW fans pay extra for Jericho's promise not to show up.

The person that should break Flair’s and Cena’s record is Randy Orton. Flair even says so himself.
Nahh I can't see him turning heel at this point for the last run because the fans ain't gonna boo him at this point because he's reached that level of legend status where the fans now show him respect and love when he comes back. If they were gonna do they should have done it in 2011-2012 like he wanted to before or after the nexus angle but apparently Vince and the others weren't keen on that
@@MaliceMister💯
The last few years is the only time Cena hasn't been booed by half the crowd. Makes no sense to turn him heel at this point.
The 2026 hangover is gonna be crazy. Looking forward to Damien Priest's second title run
Maybe he can get pinned for 4 or 5 seconds next time

It's a bit unfair giving him a hard time for the Vince question. He's already spoke about it multiple times and this was a retirement presser.
Jim gets that adversations are better than advertisements
Cena never really fell off. Kind of the Tom Brady of wrestling. He never really got bad he had slow moments because of who he worked with but never really fell off. The last memories we have are him at his peak. Truly an amazing run.
you clearly haven't seen his recent matches.. he's not washed up or anything but he's clearly lost a couple steps, he can still go but to say he never fell off isn't true
Thought I would share that Cena has been filming Peacemaker the week before this raw promo in the town I live in. Filming is nothing new here west of Atlanta.
Normally fans aren't receptive of part-time wrestlers... This just shows how much John Cena is really appreciated because as a full-timer he got the split let's go Cena and Cena sucks chance but as a part-timer unanimously everybody has been giving him standing ovations this has been amazing to witness as a wrestling fan
No it’s fans being fickle as hell and fake as hell
Oh I 100% agree about the fickle fans I don't need my favorite wrestler to be in every title storyline I just want a good storyline that makes sense but even still, I can ever remember a unanimous turnaround and support of a wrestler in my lifetime who switched to part-time other than John Cena
@@kimstuart7989 okay but u gotta understand he was the face of the company doing what he is told for the company that’s all doing his job which he was good at by the way u just gotta understand what this people go through pal !
Spectrum is geting really bad and I live about 10mins from the office in my location. Windstream has much better speed. (They call it Kinetic now I think.) But I always had signal issues with my house. I need to freaking switch. The lag is horrible. I am with ya Jim!
My goodness! Missed opportunity: When someone goes up to you and spits in your ear and I mean, go full “hawk tuah” and spit on dat thang! I would’ve lost it if Cornette said that 🤣🤣
We will get to see heel cena i always wanted to see that
I knew John waaaay back when he started in Rick Bassman's promotion. He's always been a helluva guy.
I got the “I partnered with them once” allusion immediately ngl
Cena clarified he’s not retiring specifically at mania, he just worded it poorly during the promo. He also announced they have at least 30-40 dates so far
Brian seems more bitter than usual. Lots of complaining about pointless nonsense
He really was being negative about the whole thing
He's old and boring and know no-one listens for his tired ass.
He hates the rock.. he's crazy..
The 'noises' are finally starting to crack him. Poor Brian.
He's completely right, the Rock is a phony and Cena talks forever but says nothing. Brian is the fan who put up with the nonsense of the PG era and expects more.
Bryan Danielson started his retirement tour almost a year ago. Just coping BD
I don’t know if coping Bad Daddy is a bad thing…
Oh damn it you meant copying Bryan danielson, whoops
@@brandonarmstrong4947😂😂😂
Nobody is paying attention to what AEW is doing least of all the biggest wrestler in the biggest company of the last 25 years.
Bryan Danielson sucks, always has. If he retires it would be good for the business.
@@vb2806 You obviously don't know wrestling. Even than, WWE has to copy aew
The Raycon spot at the end. “ He said sweating like a whore in church” 😂😭
Cena vs Joe Hendry is the match to make
Does Cena believe in Joe Hendry.
@@robertnapier624 👏👏
Cena only has to say his name, and he’ll appear
He loses and then cuts a parody song on him
Tony just called his guy and doubled his weekly order. 🤣
We need him to break the record.
As much as I ragged on Cena for years,I have grown more appreciation for him. He really carried WWE on his back for years and I feel a lot of fans took him for granted. Met him as well at a comic con. Really nice guy and thats a memory of him that I will cherish
Smh we don’t need your fake comment here !
Cena saying he wants to go on one more somewhat full time run is special.
I was at MITB, and I never saw that Cena shirt.
The amount of tickets they're going to move for this alone will definitely help mania sell out quickly
Wrestlers never retire
His final math should only be:
Angle
Austin
Punk
R-Truth (as a heel, then turn him face during the match).
Miz
Shinsuke
Anything else won't matter. At all.
Richard Petty did a Retirement Tour for NASCAR his last year as a driver.
He announced it fast with the towel and the shirt
Cena announcing his retirement actually brought tears to my eyes. I wasn't ready for that.

The Jeter year was amazing business for baseball.
I like Cena's acting choices. He's going against type and doing comedies, not action flicks. And he's actually really great in Peacemaker.
Every time Jim talks about spectrum being bad I laugh because I've never had the issues Jim has with Spectrum. But I live in LA county
He's getting a tour like Kobe.. people from all over the world coming
That's just awesome, when he says "happier than a pig in poop." With all of the other profanities thrown during these clips, he says poop instead of shit? LOL LOL LOL
You always wanna hate Cena but his matches always end up good
John Cena is one of my childhood, and current, heroes.
Edge being one of his biggest rivals not being there is hilarious
He said he'll do 30-40 dates, which probably means at least 6 PLEs, probably more because he said Rumble, Chamber and Mania, which are back to back to back. I'm sure he'll do SummerSlam and at least one of the shows in Saudi Arabia, but I'm sure there will be another show in the UK and either France, Germany or Italy and something else in another country. I think he'll wrestle a few house shows and he'll apoear often on Raw and SmackDown.
Cena saw Stings retirement tour and looked at HHH and said hold my Jorts..
He did say his promo that it would be his final wrestlemania and he would push a few more matches after that.
It was odd. Shades of the weird month or two where Moxley said he was quitting WWE and tried to walk out at random one day, but the office held his contract over his head and made him do the most awkward a mini farewell tour across America with Rolleigns saying goodbye to fans every night for weeks.
It was to hype people up to buy tickets
Drop spectrum as soon fios was available in my area 15yrs of spectrum not allowing any providers for internet was torture
I have no choice we have spectrum
You know these retirement tours remind me of NASCAR drivers who announce their retirement would occur the season after they announce it.
It's gonna be very gloomy when he has his last match. I'm still surprised how he's hoping to go a full year tho. I don't expect him to have more than 4-5 singles matches tho.
Fun Fact: John Cena was once at a "Make A Wish" event. He came up to a blind kid and, not knowing, told him "You can't see me!" 😂
I think Jim got a new math teacher and I'm pretty sure it's Scott Steiner
How is that bad
The Rock will figure out a way to make Cena’s retirement about him 😂
And then I suggested he be invisible
It's a farewell tour, idk if wwe is calling it that but that's what it is.
Cena v Orton Mania 41 HAS to happen
I have Spectrum and I don't have any issue with slow Internet speeds 🤔

With Orton as guest referee? In any case, either Punk or Orton I think will be Cena’s last opponent.
LET'S GO!
I didn't get it either, and I was a huge Stratus fan (still am).
This was fantastic
Has anyone actually bought a pair of Raycon earbuds. Are they any good ?.
They are a decent pair of earbuds. I have 3 pair I bought back in 2019 and they still work fine. Not really expensive either.
So Cena winning the rumble, going on to WM. Winning a championship and holding it until the end of the year?
