Let's face it: AEW is full of the obvious indy cosplay acts and disgruntled ex-WWE people, either people like Adam Copeland and Bryan Danielson, who wanted to be main eventers again and get paid like them, but WWE said no, so they went to AEW, where they got paid the money they wanted to destroy what was left of their careers, and guys like JR, who were legitimately disrespected by Vince and went to AEW because they love wrestling and can't imagine their lives without it, thought Tony Khan actually had a plan to compete with Vince, which would be good for wrestlers and wrestling, and when they realized they were in Snotsville with a guy who just wanted live action video game characters were stuck between a rock and a hard place, having to defend their boss and their company. JR can't just quit and go back to WWE. Maybe they bring him back under a legends contract where he shows up and waves at the crowd, but Paul Levesque is not hiring him to do commentary on a regular basis in any capacity and that's what he wants to do. Plus it sure seems like if there was something he wanted to be doing/working with, hed be able to make it happen. Sami even less so because he went to Saudi Arabia twice as a champion and main evented two massive PLEs back to back, among othet accomplishments. To hear guys like Finn, AJ, and Nakamura immediately say "if im wrestling, its in WWE" makes me think that not all these guys are looking for the biggest payday.
AEW has a legal department that works full-time for the company. At least they did when the partygirl and alleged Elite rat had the job. Somebody has to keep track of all of Tony's NDAs etc. on a permanent basis. She was so bad at the job, that she got transferred back to the Jacksonville Jaguars staff (where she came from), though.
When you allow wrestlers to take risks at other promotions, you are a contractor, unless you have a real business relationship. Contractors are not exclusive to one compabny or business. This is why Vince had to change his contracts, he was signing guys to be exclusive but under the contractor law. Which was wrong. Khan wants the same but, really only a had full of AEW guys have a REAL contract, remember a lot of these men and women have to pay for their own travel, medical, and any expenses they have. AEW folks are being fooled in thinking they getting all the benefits of WWE folks, they are not.
Consequences be damned, but get Vince Mcmahon on the scene. He's probably the only one who knows how to win a talent poaching war against an opponent with damn-near infinite money

Can tell Cornette is conflicted on this one because he likes JR. Have to admit I'm not a huge fan of Conrad Thompson. He's done incredibly well for himself for just being a fan really, which is admirable, but i wouldn't put much stock in his views on wrestling.
If Vince can buy is way out of everything he has done to those women, Tony probably can as well over these contracts. So in a way, JR is probably right.
The only "game changers" that might be worth a damn would be Roman Reigns who isn't going anywhere, or if Cody came back as now a much bigger star and more say over the direction of the company There isn't anyone else because Tony cannot book
Why on Earth would you make uninformed comments on a personal podcast, on an ONGOING legal dispute the company you work for is involved in? Why would you make disparaging comments about the opposite side's legal representation's professional status? Even Tony Schiavone, not exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer, reacted to questions about the CM Punk/Ace Steel stuff on his podcast by saying that he could not - and WOULD not - comment on the issue. And that getting personally involved in it by making public comments of any kind about it, would be unprofessional and utterly stupid of him. When Tony Schiavone, a guy who (in)famously manoeuvred himself out of the wrestling business entirely for one-and-a-half-plus decades, through failed backstage politicking and scheming, has a better understanding of professionalism and his role in the bigger picture than you, it's time to get out of said bigger picture. Seriously!
@@henrygvidonas9573 you really got to wonder if JR is losing it upstairs. He calls the guy his friend after stabbing him in the back by making negative comments about the lawsuit publicly.
Kinda wild that Jim Cornette is wearing the hat of the level-headed third party trying to cool down hotter heads. I'm sure he's done it for years behind the scenes, but seeing it it still just...like I said, wild. 😊
Cornette told the story about signing Edge and Christian and how he said to JR that both these guys are good, to which JR responded "Shh, we've got these guys for CA $300 a week" or something. So yeah, JR didn't mind f***ing people on contracts.
I heard Server got almost 4 million a year if that’s true and I don’t know if it is . What is TK going to pay for a WWE star that’s a known talent ie a Brock , a Charlotte, or another main event star those are just examples but imagine if it happens.
JR didn't "throw away" anything. He took what he could get. Scatman didn't want him on his regular TV anymore, except as an occasional nostalgic special attraction for some events. And for once, the old asshole pervert wasn't wrong. JR didn't need to be on commentary for anything anymore for the last decade. Nobody wants to listen to a commentator who is just a shadow of what he used to be. The New Japan audience flat-out rejected him. JR thinks he can still do play-by-play commentary like he used to. He can't! Nobody else who doesn't have nostalgia coke-bottle glasses on or is a personal friend of his, thinks that he can. The man is objectively in seriously bad health, does nothing to change his lifestyle of boozing and smoking, and isnt nearly what he used to be, mentally. Plus he does something he has never done before in his career now: Show open disdain for the product he's supposed to sell on live television. It doesn't matter how bad AEW's booking is or how nonsensically some of the matches are performed - it's not the commentator's job to _shoot_ point that out. In the context of pro wrestling, he's a performer on the show - not a reviewer or disappointed audience member. If he hates the crap so much that it's impossible for him to sell it, he needs to quit and do something else. He gets paid more money than most people can dream of, to shill every few weeks. Something he's done all his life. If he can't bring himself to do that professionally anymore, it's time to move on.
JR may not like the wrestling but he does like that tony khan isn't yelling at or firing him everu 6 months like bill watts and vince did. They pay him and call him when he is needed.

Needs money to pay medical bills? Bullshit. J.R. has real health insurance and benefits. Unlike most wrestlers. He's just kissing his bosses ass. As expected.
He was office so he’s always had insurance while employed.
Guaranteed to be a slobberknocker...no BBQ sauce needed.
Vince walked so Tony could run
JR is a political animal and he's been bragging about how he's been fleecing Shads kid for bare minimum work. He's been phoning it in for years and just finessing Millions out of a nepobaby.
Everyone hates Conrad. Nothing is worse than driving in the car hearing Conrad’s voice in an add an you’re unable to fast forward.
speak for yourself.
Adhesion Contracts are contracts drafted solely by one party and imposed upon the other party. The problem New is going to have is getting the higher courts to go along w voiding the Arbitration Clauses.
Contracts of adhesion are strictly construed against the draftor. That said, it takes a lot to fully break the arbitration clause.
This lawyer Stevie P. New seems to be the wrestling equivalent to a meat wagon chaser out here in the streets
i just woke up and now let me eat my pop tart and enjoy this
Dork
What flavor?
@@leeyoung7826 brown sugar. wish i had something better tho

@CarolynDestruction strawberry are the best ones
They actually pulled people from the 15$ seats and gave them signs to hold, so Justin Robert's had off air talking points, but everyone else was told you can't bring signs. This is worse than ever before.
I’ve been waiting for this one
Remember the meltdown by some of the AEW talent when JR said he thinks Randy is probably the best wrestler in the world hahahaha
I'm shocked that Stephen P New is a real person!
Simply Put.... JR has not been in the best of health for a time. That combined with age and stress.... JR's mental has truly been affected and may not truly understand everything going on.
Yet he still smokes like a chimney.
@@OwenRoberts-ls4seThat I just do not understand.
He knows not to bite the hand that feeds him.
Had to stop paying attention to JR a bit ago. I think it was when he was playing pr aew guy vs punk... And once the video was released, why bother with him
Constantine Kryos wrote a lot of ill written writs that turned out to be rotten because he had written them writs
Jim Ross. The same Jim Ross that had vince McDonald's back and kissed his cheeks on live tv 😂 Tony kool-aid is his new vince so yes he will defend him baw gawd 😅
Mega content is always welcome.
Tony mouth is going to cost AEW big time with all of his online shit. That why you don't see Triple H and WWE respond to Vince stuff because they know, one wrong word said is going to changed everything
I wonder if Jim was so pro wrestler when he operated his own promotions. And why hasn't Steve New filed similar actions v other wrestling companies?
Id be surprised if Owens actually does jump ship. Yeah hes got friends there and his salary would jump skyhigh, but i feel like hes seen enough empty arena pictures to be embarrassed there.
I always heard about how JR hated that Talent Relations Job...But just pay Kevin..Hell Tony throws his money away..anyway 😅
Does Tony Khan man have an attorney on retainer because i have a feeling Tony Khan man will need it
AEW has a legal department that works full-time for the company. At least they did when the partygirl and alleged Elite rat had the job. Somebody has to keep track of all of Tony's NDAs etc. on a permanent basis.
She was so bad at the job, that she got transferred back to the Jacksonville Jaguars staff (where she came from), though.
Great singing at the end by Jim here (as usual)
JR and Conrad are fucking impossible to listen to. No, really, go try.
Y aren't they uploading the drive thru or the Jim Cornett experience anymore
I have yet to find a redeeming quality or shred of traditional masculinity in Tony Khan.
I'll be honest, this has out of court settlement, written all over it.
Tony will never let this go to discovery so this will be settled for a couple fat checks.
Consequences be damned, but get Vince Mcmahon on the scene. He's probably the only one who knows how to win a talent poaching war against an opponent with damn-near infinite money
JR should punt the blame to John Laurinaitis for the last2 decades.
Point out how he was treated under Junior ( cause of Junior's pettiness and behavior..which is not really up for debate)
LMAO and here we go i find it hilarious that JR says that kevin kelly and the tate twins are going to lose money before tony does man what a kiss ass JR is Jesus Christ 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
72 year old kiss a** it is incredibly pathetic. I've lost all respect for JR
Emoji spamming trash.
@@Cruising_On_Lake_Havasomacomment spam trash lol.
@@Cruising_On_Lake_Havasomawe get it, you don't like emojis, no nerd to repeat yourself like a broken record jfc
@thatonebritishidiot3.037 exactly don't know what's his problem lol.
"I know plenty of people who have gone both ways."
Another thing here is Jim Ross blurting these comments out on a podcast that nobody watches and he clearly doesn’t want to be doing. Not everybody needs to be in front of mic for hours and hours a week commenting on everything .
That podcast has gotten embarassing, I used to listen during pandemic but now they are just reaching for topics for episodes. Going over every single WWF and now WCW mid PPV but half the episode is about what is going on in AEW that no one cares about
Stephen P. New doing this pro bono
Can tell Cornette is conflicted on this one because he likes JR.
Have to admit I'm not a huge fan of Conrad Thompson. He's done incredibly well for himself for just being a fan really, which is admirable, but i wouldn't put much stock in his views on wrestling.
Jim Ross has gone down hill.
he should present himself as a cartoon dog, that's how I see him
If Vince can buy is way out of everything he has done to those women, Tony probably can as well over these contracts. So in a way, JR is probably right.
I cannot believe they commented on a lawsuit, pending litigation.
Does it matter? It's not their lawsuit...
The only "game changers" that might be worth a damn would be Roman Reigns who isn't going anywhere, or if Cody came back as now a much bigger star and more say over the direction of the company
There isn't anyone else because Tony cannot book
JR should of just stayed out of it.
JR always defends problematic bosses
Kinda wild that Jim Cornette is wearing the hat of the level-headed third party trying to cool down hotter heads. I'm sure he's done it for years behind the scenes, but seeing it it still just...like I said, wild. 😊
Tony just pay the man or lend me 100 pounds because I’m on the breadline? 😢 serious.
I could split it with Ricky Starks?
😂😂😂😂😂 WTF 😂😂😂
Ha. i remember as a child getting jim ross, jim cornette and kevin kelly confused. Now look where are.
Cornette told the story about signing Edge and Christian and how he said to JR that both these guys are good, to which JR responded "Shh, we've got these guys for CA $300 a week" or something. So yeah, JR didn't mind f***ing people on contracts.
Stephen cuts a better promo than most wrestlers working today.
But he definitely needs a tennis racket for it!
OMG!!! I just thought of something. Isn't Tony K. like that Fox catcher guy? A billionaire buying wrestlers like toys?
I heard Server got almost 4 million a year if that’s true and I don’t know if it is . What is TK going to pay for a WWE star that’s a known talent ie a Brock , a Charlotte, or another main event star those are just examples but imagine if it happens.
Why would you throw away a T - bone steak like WWE to eat bologna in AEW ?
Wasn’t his choice
31:05 very cheeky Jim 😂
JR got his ass handed to him there.
Sam Menacker would never be a stooge like the way JR is.
JR may not like the wrestling but he does like that tony khan isn't yelling at or firing him everu 6 months like bill watts and vince did. They pay him and call him when he is needed.
