I make crochet poppets for friends and family sometimes, usually for protection, and instead of a taglock in the traditional sense I will make the doll the taglock by making it in their likeness and using the inside for herbs and other items.
I crochet poppets too! Although personally, i prefer the aesthetic of very simple, single color, blank dolls with the taglock and herbs stuffed inside, because it reminds me of stereotypical “voodoo dolls” and gets me into the witchy mindset. I pick a color related to what I’m mostly using the doll for, or in the persons favorite color, and will add hair or name papers inside the stuffing
my great grandma used to crochet us kids “mini wheats” that looked like us. we called them that due to their rectangular shape

Hey, I recently saw a tiktoker suggest that the targets of gossip should put a spell on their name so that every time someone uses it it gives them energy and abundance-the taglock in this case being a name.
I suppose this is when all my previous knowledge comes into play in crafting a working for it. Ah the fun part.
I appreciate the idea so much I thought sharing it could help someone else

I've foolishly managed to get a selenite crystal wet, unfortunately finding that the salt content dissolving. The thing is, I didn't realize that in this form, I'm able to sprinkle the now powder fine selenite to open circles. Oops, but this actually worked for the better. Hmm. Cool. Anyway, merry meet, Your Grace. 🧙♀️✌️

An idea for taglocks with painting/drawing scenes of their life and floating them wrapped in ziplock bags inside water and holy resins kind of like how the memories and emotions would be inside a soul. Add sun water and happy crystals and herbs that would correspond to their memories, emotions and maybe night/moon/ocean/etc if more resonates with them. Then give them the spells that they would like to have done.

I used Taglocks once and it went pretty well :) I used hair and it was fine for me
I did a taglock to help my husband and i made a oil to reverse hexes and curses so i hope a taglock is not a hex or curse bc i do not do harmful workings

Small question if someone has a ‘dead’ name they still use and a preferred name which would be more powerful to use? Could I use both? Asking for myself lol.

When did this term originate, anyone know?
The term was originally used to mean a tangled lock of hair, over time this led to include other items that could be used in a similar way within the craft.
@@HearthWitch oh, I know the traditional meaning,found it in merriam lol but looking for precedent for it in the occult, back in the old days when I started there were reams of dictionaries on occult terms and couldn't find it, but it does make a kinda sense, like the warp and weave etc

I usually do a simple negating chant to disperse intent then either bury or burn it. I never reuse them

So when manifesting i know some people use scripting and keep a journal while others write on a paper and then either burn it or get rid it to manifest. Im not sure what method to use, ive been told its better to just use the paper but i know other have manifested with scripting DX im very confused
what is the name of a spell where if someone sends out something for you it hits the target that is supposedly you instead of you yourself

I always feel like if the witch's bottle breaks... that the negative energy will be released back into the space that is being protected. Does the bottle actually "destroy" or neutralize the neg. Energy..so that when it does burst it isn't released? Seriously question...sorry if it sounds ignorant...im fairly new to spell work... have practiced the craft for quite some time just wasn't ever ready for spellwork.
I've done a spell where I wrote someone's name on two pieces of paper. I burnt one while the other one I rolled up while I let the smoke coming from the paper I burnt kind of "coat" it, bound with a black thread, put it in a small container, and put it in a freezer. Can this be considered as taglock?
