My friend is a witch as well and she'd make poppets out of seed paper (paper that contains flower seeds) and she'd take a piece of her friends and mines hair and sew it into the center of the doll and then bury them. And once the flowers grew she'd keep an eye on them and if they were getting sick or not growing properly she figured her friends weren't doing well and would talk to them

thank you so much for also talking about cursing or hexing with poppets. I haven't found much information on this topic in books and on RUclips channels because everyone keeps focusing on "good magick" while I also think there is no particular good or bad in my practice. I use poppets for protection of family members but also occasionally for cursing people who have done bad to me or people close to me. So THANK YOU for not educating one sided like many others do.
I like to use play doh. Its cheap and there are a lot of colors to choose from
Such a great video! Another good way of using pins with poppets that I’ve heard of is putting them in it before you activate it, then removing them over the course of the next few days to symbolize that pain being lessened. Like you said, as with all forms of magick, you can do both harm and good depending on how you use it.
I've gotten drawn to creating my own poppets. I already have 6 created! These arent created for anyone else but myself. I created them all out of clay! I love to place them on my altar. 1 protects my home, another helps me control my emotions im an empath lol 3 of them protect my garden and they aid in the growth of my plants. The final one is special because she represents my witch side, I even gave her a red dress to represent my passion and power in magic. I literally place them all over my house sometimes they find their way back to my altar lol apparently thats where they want to be. Thanks for sharing this video!

I don't know if its useful but as a bee keeper i wanna point some things. Beside the fact wax beeing natural, wax is a fat material and are not easy assimilated by the earth, i'm saying that because maybe you can use that information in your spells. Despite be there for a long time, the wax will not harm the nature.

I love dolls, I collect them, sew them, crochet them. I would love to do doll workings. Question: say you wanted to do a working with dolls that would help heal the earth. What kind of doll would you use? I was thinking an animal shaped doll as an avatar of sorts.

Thanks Hearth this is great. I used a few poppets for healing last year using those dolls from the works and they worked so well. I also used a temporary poppet made from paper scrunched up and shaped into a body and tagged to bind a specific person from bullying a family member. I didn't want to cause that person harm but I wanted them to leave my person alone so I tied the hands and feet in the working. It actually worked really well to get the person to leave my person alone. Just to let you know RUclips didn't give me a notification of this video when you first published so I've only just found it! Wish I knew why RUclips does that -it is frustrating as a creator and a watcher. Thanks again for a great video X

I made a corn dolly to be a home for my garden's spirit over the winter. We have a ghost cat in our house, I should make it a doll to live in. We named it Shadow, its quite friendly.

Do you have to put stuffing inside the doll or can you just carve the tagalong words into the clay and put the doll into a box with herbs and crystals etc, I want it to be able to be cleared after every working

I’ve been extremely interested in this and I haven’t found any other videos about these dolls, thank you so much! Could you please do another video about it? I’m curious about how protection magick and benevolent magick can used with these dolls in spells, like, where to place them, and do we address them as that person, as if they were there? I would love to use them for protective magick for a family member, and I use curses for people who harm my children or family.. one specific person I need to do this on.. but I would really like to have more instructions.. are there books that talk about this for both benevolent and non benevolent magick with dolls??

14:35 Yeah, It's never the practice that's evil. Things, Objects, Concepts are never inherently evil it's the people that have the power to make them evil everything is based on what people choose to do. You can use the practice or good or use it for bad but that's on YOU not the practice.

Edgar Hyde everyone’s practice is different, if you choose to work with them that’s your choice. I’m not Wiccan, but typically I see Wiccans not doing anything that could harm someone. Again I’m not Wiccan, but following that logic I would say that as long as you use it to help people and not to hurt them it should be ok.

I recently watched your video on Skull Candles. I’m using my large candle as a long term poppet. This is a popper named as myself with taglocks, herbs, oils etc. Please advise if it is correct to use it this way to request it to manifest career success and increased monetary prosperity as me? I have told it to work with the universe to manifest this as a steady flow and for the highest good? Thank you 🙏
Oh and another question, I want to make a happiness doll for myself out of paper. How would that best be deposed of when I have no more use of it? Would burning it be fine?
I think for sure it's a yes, just remember to take back the energy and cut the connection you set on the doll to represent yourself before you burn it.
Maye simple way to do it is by chanting sth like ”from a paper to become a doll me, and now from a doll of me return back to a paper; you are now not me anymore, neither have any connection to myself or affect to my life. And this is to do good to all and do harm to none”, thank it for help you as well and take back your intention. Then burn it as it is just a normal piece of paper.
And this is just for the purpose of when you have no more use of it, I believe a different type of doll will have different ways to destroy or undo it.
