Today I wanted to talk about some Misconceptions I find a lot of people have regarding working with the Fae. Please note that all of these are things I have personally found in regards to working with the fae, not everyone may have had the same experiences with them.
Not all of these are entirely incorrect, but often largely amplified by media or made out to be the whole truth, missing out the alternatives; e.g. Fae do live in woodlands, but they don't solely live in woodlands or Fae can be small and beautiful, but not all of them will be.

Not gonna lie... I’ve always viewed the fae as being the Mafia of the magical world.
They have rules and honor to some extent, and the extent to which they are willing to apply that honor or those rules entirely depends on you as the one contacting.
Be polite, be direct, don’t demand, don’t offer.
Think of it like you just walked into a mafia den with all eyes on you... and then remember that the stuff these beings can do is more far reaching than anything a human can comprehend.
In my own experience they tend to require equal exchange, and things are more valuable than you think.
    Be careful.
    BE CAREFUL.

"... didn't want to scare anyone with this..." --- No. Be scared. They're scary beings. Even some of the most beautiful, sweet and dainty will destroy you if you cross them. There's a reason I don't work with the fae.
In the past, if I saw signs that there were fae near, I would leave "thank you gifts", NOT offerings. And I would leave a note that explained my intentions as well. I would write something like, "Thank you for all of the hard work you are contributing to this world." And leave it at that. Period. No requests. Nothing to suggest that I want anything in return. Appreciation without too much flattery. None of the "if this doesn't appease you, let me know and I'll get you something else..." No.
Just as they are not there to service me, I am not here to service them either. Mutual respect is all that I ever give and ask of the fae. I will always show them the respect they deserve, and they DO deserve it. I only ask that they stay out of my business and respect me the same as I respect them. If our business just so happens to intertwine, I just hope that we can get along and stay on level balances with one another until we can go our separate ways.
So... yeah... I don't work directly with the fae. And I hope I never have to again. I have made my mistakes and I paid for them. There's nothing worth the risk of accidentally insulting them or finding one that just doesn't give a f*.

Thank you!! This needs to be said over and over again. Fae exist in every culture by different names but you always know what they are by the way the interact with humans... Usually to the detriment and regret of the human. Tread carefully and listen to the old stories.

Galaxy GX System I probably wouldn’t say the “Thank You” directly, to the fae because apparently they take it a bit differently to what the words actually mean, then they will think you owe them something in return.
Just something I heard from a content creator that works with fae 🤷‍♀️
Edit: I believe they find the words “Thank You” insulting, but you can still thank them through different context or words e.g. “I appreciate..” and, sometimes depending on the fae type, it’s good to be anonymous.

So very true. I've some type of fae that live behind my home. I treat them ( as ther are many) like I would treat any wild animal. I'll leave an offering, but it's more of I'm here, this is my place. Your welcome all around, but my home is mine. I'll leave you to your, you leave me to mine. There is also a very aggressive type of fae that leaves in the wood behind my home, and it's literally come charging at me or other members of my coven as we have been making offerings to the wood, or to the Mother Goddess. It's never attacked, but it has very physically made itself known, to the point of one of my friends was having here hair caressed, or pulled. I've tried to show "it" we are not trying to invade and that we are there only to work on our practice. We are always polite, we never take anything without giving, and we especially do not or will not insult any of them.
Okay, I know that was a long rant, partly I'd like to know what I'm dealing with, and or how I can show it, that my coven and I mean no threat. We are not trying to work with any fae, we are simply trying to help and make our part of the world and home better not only for us, but for all. If we have in some way offended, I'd be happy to correct the mistake. I'm such that I will not allow anyone in my coven to even take a leaf from a plant without at least offering something. Nature gives to us, and how dare you not give something in return. I truly feel that whatever is behind my home is some type of guardian, I've walked all through the wood at night with no issue, yet if I bring more than 2., were almost immediatly met. It's very hot, very intimidating, and particulary very forceful when there are ladies around.

I'm always amazed this isn't more common knowledge. I learned through practice that angels are also not love and light or serene. They are extremely powerful and aloof. I get the impression from them that they are pretty indifferent to humans. I've gotten the impression that we can be something of a minor annoyance to them.

@@saranatari3427 Well if we make the assumption that Angels were indeed created by the God of Abraham, who explicitly hates idolatry would Angels who work under Him be happy to work with practitioners outside the "Christian" faith?
Also based on Biblical text not all Angels work under YHWH, not to mention in the same book Angels also don't seem to willingly serve humans, the ones that do seemed to be ordered to, so I can see why they would seem aloof/annoyed if called upon by a human.
If we assume Angels are their own separate entity outside of Christianity, well based on what you said, maybe it's that they don't have a good perspective of human beings, not that I would disagree with such a view, we are a very disagreeable species.
Regardless Christianity has portrayed them very differently than how even the Bible portrays them, which I would attribute to early Roman Catholic influences which is just Roman religion wrapped up under a Abrahamic guise.

    • @AdventureswithAmirah
      @AdventureswithAmirah 3 года назад +26

@Sarana Tari @raphael3712 That's an interesting perspective, yet so different than what I've found to be true. Angels could possibly seem aloof if misunderstood, but they hold humans in EXTREMELY high regard and look up to us so much. They think it's funny, yet almost embarrassing, if humans think a family member dies and becomes an "angel" because that would almost be a downgrade to a human. Almost as if we outrank them, which I think stems from the fact that they were created without free will, and can only serve us in the best way they know how. Each of us has angels that are always here with us throughout this existence on earth...almost like assigned attendants. When one of us passes, those angels are waiting for a new assignment and are available to help us as needed. Angels don't care anything about Christianity.....which is a totally man-made construct. Angels are always found in places of worship...whether it be a Wiccan forrest circle, a Muslim Mosque, a Hindu Temple, A Christian cathedral, etc. Angels only care about helping us, protecting us, and showing us divine love. Maybe the beings you were working with were not angels? I've heard of other entities who constantly claim to be something they're not. Thoughts? ⚛️

I have some Fey that have been hanging out around me since I was really little. Sometimes they are very chaotic and hide my things and sometimes they actually help me find my stuff or give it back. But they usually are friendly and playful. I can’t see them per-say but I sense them and I can feel them when they touch me or are really close. They seem to be different sizes some are tiny and others are as big as toddlers. Usually the smaller ones hang around and play when they are around. Usually they are around most often in the Spring and Fall. They usually dont help much with magic and when they do, they usually just add some power to it and sometimes they actually help with the magic itself. I also enjoy dancing with them. They help me more and dont mess with me as much when I dance and play with them.

Shes told me stories about mystical encounters shes had in the jungle as a child. Her mother told her to never start giving food and other offerings to the fairy folk and then not doing it as very bad things could happen. I find this so very interesting even if I because of my mothers stories would never dare working with the fae. I do say excuse me, whenever I remember, if I pick flowers or berries just quietly for myself in case I'm taking something from anyone or accidentally step on someone I can't see. It’s worth noting there is the “Seelie” court and “Unseelie” court of fairies. “Seelie” describes a relation of faeries that are considered pleasant, happy, kind and benevolent, however, the “Unseelie” are considered unfavourable to humans, malicious in nature. The Unseelie are said to enjoy causing harm and torment to mortals, and so are avoided.
However, it is worth noting neither court is necessarily “bad” or “evil” so both courts, and all fairies deserve equal respect- especially if you don’t want to get on their bad side.

It's worth noting that faries are not strictly in one court or the other, a fairy could be Seelie and later Unseelie or vice versa. So while a fairy that is usually unseelie is far more likely to hurt or play tricks on you, you just might get lucky and they act more "Seelie" than usual. Either way, it's best not to offend, neither court will stand for it.

I believe the term "fae" actually comes from the French "fée", which sounds almost identical. Fée is translated to fairy in English, so the loop is complete :) In the Arthurian legends, Morgana Lefey (the spelling varies) literally comes from the French "Morgane La Fée" > Morgana the Fairy.
Thanks for the interesting information. I don't work with faes but I do try to respect them or at least not offend them, when I feel they may be around.

The natives, and the anglo-saxon and Viking colonizers, all had their own words.
Morgan La Fee was NOT her original name in the Arthurian tales. The French wrote down the legends and gave everyone French names, instead of their original names.

A few weeks after not leaving anything, i had a dream that a bunch of shadowy figures came in through my window and started scratching me and dragging me towards the window. woke up on the floor with scratch marks on my shoulder and thigh. i still have a lot of respect and love for the fae, but i will uhhh… be holding off from working with them until i’m more consistent in my practice 😅😅

I just realized that the Girl Scouts (based in the US) may have originated some of its traditions/names from the fae... The youngest groups within this organization are called pixies (ages 4-5 I believe) and then brownies (ages 6-9). When I was a little girl in this group, they would have us go on fairy hunts, make fairy gardens, go through fairy redwood circles, etc. I just looked up some history and it seems like the original brownie troops had different fae names... After watching this video, I'm realizing how dangerous this could have been for young children. It's all seen as fun and games with no ill intention as the adult leaders think this is just fictional fun, so hopefully there haven't been any cases of incidents, but who knows. I'm not a practicing witch, just someone who finds all of this fascinating, so I may be overreacting as I don't know much. Thanks for sharing!

When fairies provoked the hell out of me and came into my home uninvited, I can tell you I have a very negative view about them. No, I did not mess with them first. They came into MY home and disrespected me. They leave me alone now because I banned them. I work with dryads and I had a lot of past lives as a dryad, so I have a lot of experience with the fae, both good and bad. I'm not fond of most small low-level fae and fairies. They're not cute and friendly. Most of them are assholes and easily offended snowflakes. Also, if a fae finds an item you lost, it's most-likely because they stole it in the first place. Also, DO NOT ACCEPT GIFTS FROM THE FAE. EVER. They're not human, so human customs, such as "thank you", don't mean the same as we see it. They see it as a contract and they WILL ruin your life if you don't put up your end of the bargain.

I haven't tried to "work with them" so much as just establish a positive contact for awareness with them. No ties, no strings. One is dark, but only shows up during serious depression, to remind me of other planes, and kind of to grant me perspective. I have left treats out for them a few times, but I have an unstable routine and am quite forgetful. I know better than to make promises I can't keep. So I think I am good with the ones nearby, or at least neutral. We are aware of each other. Recently I accidentally summoned a ghost cat, and I wonder if anything else came through - nothing malevolent, but definitely not alone in my house.

I didn't recognize this until recently when I was researching my family history and found a 3x great aunt who drowned her grandson because she thought he was a faery changeling. Looking with modern eyes, it is pretty clear that he went from verbal to nonverbal and probably had some form of autism.

As someone who is completely new to working with the fae/fairies and doesn't really know ANYTHING yet, my questions would be:
Are they believed to be similar to spirits, gods etc..., meaning they are invisible to us, but exist on another plane of existence/another dimension, or are they believed to be actual physical beings that we could (theoretically, if we encountered them) see and touch?
Also, do we have any idea of their origin?
What could they do for me, and what could I do for them?
How do I even come in contact with them, or (once I have established a relationship with them) how could I communicate my wishes to them, or how could I understand what they want from me?
Also, I am planning on doing on offering on mabon 🧡✨, but wasn't really planning on involving the fae. Is it possible to do an offering just for nature in general, to give something back to it as a thank you, or will the fae react to it whether I want it or not?
I would reeeally appreciate some clarity on this subject🙏💚 Also I love your channel, you always have the most helpful information and are soo educated on everything. Hello, random person on the internet here!
This is what I can personally give you to help give some clarity and someone else can add in their own personal experiences. Yes, the fae do exist on a different plane of reality than we do. However, the fae can allow you to see them if they so wish. My father in law before he had his brain surgery 10+ years ago were able to see them automatically because he was that spiritually strong. Some fae will hide in plain sight, if that phrasing makes sense to you in the region that you live in.
The "origin" of the fae has been lost in some regions of the world due to the colonization of Christianity and changing the fae to be demons or the workings of the devils. If you look deep enough in the right sources then you can find something but beware of the possible rabbit hole you may go down because fae names changes from region/mythology to the next. It can still be educational all the same.
The next bit is clumped together so hopefully you can make sense of this since it's all related. Offerings can be made in general or they can be specific. If you want some aid from the fae then you will need to do something in return such as an offering or a small task. The tasks that I have read would be something like cleaning up around the city. This is one way that you can establish a good relationship with the fae that you are working with and a way that you can communicate with the fae is meditation/astral projection/astral travel. Once you do the search and find a fae that you are interested in working with then this is a way to meet with them. In some cases like with gods, you may find the fae that you want to work with but a different fae may want to work with you with the goals that you want completed.
I know this kinda turned into an essay but I hope that would give you some insight. I have been studying off and on for the past 14 years on a variety of subjects so I have picked up on a few things that I like to share with people. Blessed by good sir/ma'am!

      1. Whether you see or hear them, as well as any beings from the ascended/astral realm, is dependent on your abilities. I see them clearly in my 3rd eye (some of them mf’s are ugly af and have attitudes to match their appearance) and hear them. I can also physically interact with them but not in the same way as if someone were to touch your arm. They’re part of the same general realm as deities and demons, but have their own realm(s). Think of it like continents with countries within them, except I find their world interacts more with the physical world more than other non-fae beings.
      2. The origin of each fae race is dependent on the race itself. You can research different fae for their origins. Some fae (Jormungandr, for example) are actually children of deities, so it really depends on the fae.
      3. Working with any spiritual being is a professional relationship. If you want to know what they can do, ask them what they’ll do for you and what you can offer in return. Whatever you do, DO NOT ACCEPT GIFTS FROM THE FAE. Seriously, DON’T.
      4. I say this about deities as well. DO NOT reach out to them. The reason I say this is because when you’re first starting out, you need to know your shit. If they want to work with you, they’ll reach out to you. You’ll know if they want to work with you.
      5. How you communicate with them is dependent on your individual relationship and how they choose to communicate with you. Get to know their behavior and you’ll understand that.

I love that on your bookshelf, you have Disney fans' favorite villain who is a *fae:* "Maleficent". Btw for centuries in the Middle East, Arabs have considered *Jinn (Genies)* to be mischievious spirits who are tricksters. They _can_ lie, but they don't need to bc they're so cunning. They're very powerful, with various abilities like flight, speed, shape-shifting, telekinesis, etc. They can make promises (grant wishes), but there's always a catch that backfires -- similar to the Devil in the movie "Bedazzled" -- so it's not worth making a contract with them.
In our dimension, they like huge vacated spaces, such as deserts, forests, mountains, glacial areas, deserted planets, etc. Otherwise, they'll just stay in their own realm. They have their own lives, their own families, their own religions & rituals, and so on. While there are a few who are considered good (about 10%), the majority are considered bad (close to 90%). Pagan Arabs have different origin stories for them, but Muslim Arabs believe that they were fallen spirits from heaven. According to scripture, Angels don't have the free-will to rebel, but Jinn do.
In fact, Satan is believed to have once been a Jinni named "Iblis", who was the chief of the Jinn that lived in heaven. Jinn were created from fire & Angels from light. Iblis became indignant when commanded to prostrate to a human (Adam), a newly created being made of earth. Iblis said he was superior bc he was made of fire. His followers also rebelled, and so they were all banished from paradise. Or so the story is told. Anywho, all Arabs share various customs & guides to not anger a Jinni occupying your home. So Jinn are very similar to Faeries.

I wear three necklaces every day. The first is Tai Chi Chuan, more widely known as the yin yang symbol. That's purely symbolic. The second is a sterling silver circumscribed penticle. That has power as a talisman and silver is antagonistic to corruption, (i.e. "bad" spirits), and the third is a really small "cold iron" spearhead. Cold Iron holds, channels and directs spiritual energy, including magick. (Which is why we use an iron caldron and release the captured and consentrated energy with fire and smoke). Cold iron is painful and somewhat destructive to ghosts, other disembodied spirits, and you know who.

My number one reservation, as a novice, is that I feel like I really don't have a good reference point when it comes to my intuition with the fae. Deity work came pretty naturally, but I really wouldn't know harm from help with faeries. It also feels like faerie work might be a bit intensive for someone with chronic illness; I can't always count on myself to be extremely consistent with offerings/etc., and I appreciate that there is some flexibility with that in deity work. Nevertheless, some new information in my family history has gotten me curious about faeries-- I would love to get a better understanding of what it feels like to interact with fae of different types and temperaments, so I can at least develop a sense of intuition before diving into the work.

If you study law you learn greater precision with speech. They will benefit from this as well though. They are always just enough more intelligent than you, that they can very easily trick you. No matter how good you are, they will be a little, or possibly a lot, better.
They aren't as bad as people think they are though. A lot of the negative stuff people remember is admittedly really really horrible, but there's a lot more to faeries than that. The negative stuff is just basic training, the worst perspectives would be held by people who dropped out. Nobody is going to forget how bad the bad stuff gets, but as it fades away over time, there is always the wonderful consolation that bit has ended. If you escape with a goose that lays golden eggs, and a singing harp, you are going to feel far better about the experience.

I don't even expect my 3 yr old to do that why, especially, would I expect that from a being that has zero ties to me and that I have to actively seek out? That makes no sense. This is an amazing video, if I made a video on this topic I would have said everything almost word for word. Excellent job!
Sadly one of the modern issues as you eluded to in our subculture is there is a lot of hows but no who's, when, wheres how whys. And you NEED that, you need to understand the history of a practice or beliefs you have, use.
    Again great video!

Hi. Thank you for the video. 💜 Some things I'd be interested in learning more about are gifts from the fae and/or signs of their presence in your environment. They're very popular subjects on social networking/media, and I cannot always tell sarcasm from seriousness, to the point I am concerned about exaggeration, applying meaning when there isn't any, or misunderstanding the subject and the natural environment and the impact of humans in it.
As an overall and acknowledged practice, I am new to all of this (just over one year in). I'm terrified of coming off as rude by paraphrasing, but as a newcomer, I feel the impression it gives me is important because I cannot be the only one. The vibe I get from these videos and posts is, "Be suspicious of every mushroom, twig, and everything you find or stumble upon - from dandelion fluff to litter and debris - because it's the fae moving into your environment or breaking into your home, and trying to trick you and all of your bloodline into a life of servitude by accepting their gifts."
I have an academic background in history but part of my job requires that I work in nature. I teach people about our native environment (plants and animals) and the people who have lived here for thousands of years and still live here (no surprise, I'm from the US). I teach a little about us historical newcomers to this land, and our impact on culture and the environment. I also have my own historical/cultural understanding of the fae from my family and the cultures from where we originated, which have never been the cutesy Victorian and Disney interpretations (which actually do serve a cultural/psychological point, if not an accurate representation - but that's another topic).
The number of things people lose and other people find on our property... those become discussion points in and of themselves. For other people: if you're looking for the fae, you're going to find them even where they aren't there.
In short, I wonder how much harm these may be doing as they come with a sense of urgency and fear but do not consider or even suggest considering natural alternatives. (E.g. discovering traces of human or animals in the environment (often nests and tracks), stumbling across litter (and sadly, at least in the US, there's a lot, even in forests), or discovering a natural item (feather or acorn cap) that was blown into your area or carried in by a squirrel. Also, mushrooms grow everywhere.) There's also the concerning habit of burying everything, even if it is litter, bad for the animals or environment, or physically harmful to all (broken glass and rusty nails), all while respectfully informing the fae you cannot accept it. Some things do not belong buried in the ground. Maybe you're even being asked to clean the environment?
Again, some of this misunderstanding may be because I cannot interpret humor or sarcasm like everyone else, and I may be slow to recognizing others differences in approaching what I grew up with.
Either way, I think this will be a great series of yours and I look forward to more videos. I have noticed it is a subject many others are not discussing in depth and it's a shame.
    Thank you for reading.

Be sensitive to what a particular member of the Timeless People wants. Just because some may see social trivialties as rude, or exploit them with some twist of magic, doesn't mean there are none who appreciate (or expect) a simple "thank you." The key is to know, and make it clear, that this is not just something you're saying out of social convention. They care not for what humans expect as "polite," unless it is born from a genuine kindness and good intention.
It's like how you wouldn't tell your friend "I'm sorry" unless you really meant it.

Thank you for talking about the give and take. I think that in this New era, as any other "primary season" of freedom, we tend to be extreme in the things we weren't able to do or have for a long time. And so it is for spirituality, I think that we might be so much under the idea that we can't have this or that, or that the world is a mess, that once we're given the chance of a greater thing we overuse it. As a consequence, we become selfish. But I have came to the conclusion that things are better when worked in sync and with a connection rather than service. In all the aspects of life
Understanding that as well as we have our desires, feelings and experiences they have theirs and so on. I am just shocked that, this is actually something I "downloaded" yesterday, and in my prayers I told my spiritual beings to forgive me in case I had treated them as objects or tools. I also had brainstormed why British and north folcklore were the ones chosen to be mainstreamed in movies instead of the brazilian ones.(I am brazilian) and you know what, I thought it's due to how British ones can be more visually pleasing. I mean, who's the freaking child who's gonna like a brazilian creature I mean they're hella scary. I myself, I don't enjoy my mythology. But as I am diving deep on this, I see that, these creatures are much like us. Just like us, there are some who are scary, others more friendly, they have their own life and so on.. So, it's not a great idea to come to them thinking they will grant us all we want. Movies can tell us the truth but they can also fill our head with illusion and selfish expectations.
I came to this video because I wanted to know more about this idea of what a British fairy really is, because some strange(in a positive sense) things have happened in my house. Lost things were found in the kitchen when we woke up, plants were "saved", in general protective atitudes were taken.
I just came from an article that talked about brownie, boggarts, nisse.. and they're actually quite different from what we see in movies. But, if they can occur in brazil then I think it is a brownie. Because the actions are of a protective nature, and when my mom told me and showed me the things, it hit me the possibility that it was a fairy(just didn't know which one). I persist with this given that these days I've called them. I wanted to know how to start something with them and I decided to follow my desire of speaking to them. My father says it's a potherghaist(i think that's it's written). However I feel it's some fairy that wants to be recognized. I really want to research more because i wanna thank this spirit, whoever it is, i just wanna thank. I can't with altars since I still live with my parents and I don't want to spend their money in these things and I don't wnat them to suspect.
Just wanted to share my thoughts. I know I am venting on you guys but it's just that I don't have any friend to talk about those things. I've realized that sharing our experiences and beliefs is essential in my spiritual path
    Thank youuu❤❤

I have found for myself that They show themselves as little bright lights in the corner of the eyes and they’ve shown themselves to me by moths being around me all of the time, for some reason not as many butterflies. I tend to feel them far more often then to ever see them. I’ve always had a kinda obsession with the Faery. When I was a child, around 5, I felt beckoned into the forest that was near our house and wandered in it. I was found the next day naked with our dog guarding me.

on the highest dose of shrooms i ever took, i met some small beings. terence mckenna, an expert of shrooms and many other things, described these small mischievous beings as the "Machine elves". many people experience these machine elves while under the influence of powerful phycheldelics like DMT and shrooms . when i met them, they certainly had the vibe of some creature with tons of knowledge. i didnt see them, but rather i felt them, i could hear them speaking to me, laughing at me, in my own head. They told me i was weak and needed to grow a spine and stand up for myself more in my life. i got the sense that they were tired of watching me, they pittied me but found it funny that they were finally able to tell me about it... i needed this tough love, i needed the uncomfortable realization of how weak i was and how much i let people take from me. I broke up with my abusive ex and i focused of growing personally. Although i have done shrooms again since this experience, i havnt met the machine elves again but honestly, i fully believe that there are small entities that communicate with humans through many different ways, magic mushrooms being one way. when i felt them around me, they really felt like separate beings, obviously though, my walls dont breath nor are they liquid but on shrooms the walls are a breathing river lol so who knows whats really true and whats a trick of the mind under the influence of drugs... either way, that experience changed my life. i literally stopped everything and chose a new path and i wouldn't be where i am today if it wasnt for these entities laughing at me and being real as fuck with me. I appreciate what they did for me

I hope someone SEES THIS and gives me some insight. I’ve been thinking about this for about a month and haven’t been able to get over it. One night at about 1am I was awake with my toddler son in my bed. He’d normally be asleep but was all wound up so we were both awake and I was trying to get him to sleep. It was dark in the room and I looked to the corner of the room and I saw, without question... bright twinkly lights and kind of looked like sparkles falling from the middle of the air. It was the strangest thing I’ve ever seen. My first thought was we had a group of fireflies in our room and then I waited for it to happen again for a good 15min and it didn’t. I have very good intuition and the feeling I got, however strange this sounds, was that something showed up thinking we’d be asleep and we weren’t so it immediately left. But now I’m hearing about faeries and people say they look like lights and sparkles sometimes and now I’m half convinced that’s what I saw. I have zero explanation of what it could have been, and I KNOW what I witnessed. Any thoughts on this wld be great

I must be a fairly “bad” beginner witch because I do not feel a super strong connection with any spirits, whatsoever. It almost feels like the spiritual realm ignores me entirely 😕 I thank Spirit for hearing my requests at the end of rituals sometimes, but I never feel presences or receive tangible signs or messages...seems as though fae or any other spiritual beings want nothing to do with me 😔🤷🏻‍♀️

Dude, same. My belief in the supernatural has nothing to do with my own experiences because if I based it off my own experiences I would be an atheist! Supernatural beings and forces seem to either leave me completely alone or work in such subtle ways in my life that I don't even realize they're there. My belief in the supernatural is because of the overwhelming evidence and testimony from other people of their experiences and I figure, well that many people can't be wrong.

    • @PlagueCabaret
      @PlagueCabaret 3 года назад +6

Nah, you're not "bad" as a beginner Witch. It just takes loads of practice and time, before you begin to experience (and recognize) when you're in the presence of such forces.
I've had encounters with: ghosts, shadow beings, elementals and earth spirits. Most, are pretty subtle.
The ones who were quite obvious, were *always* of the negative, nasty bastard variety.
Spirit (well, for me atleast) prefers to work in what we call "coincidence" and or in synchronicity. Which, can easily be dismissed, or, rationalized into oblivion.
My best advice for you and other novice Witches, would be: Please, don't be discouraged! I know how easy it is to feel disappointed, doubtful and frustrated. Especially, when one is being constantly regaled with first-hand accounts of fellow practitioners "abilities" and encounters. Keep your shields up and your heart, mind and third-eye open.
P.S. I deeply apologize for the essay. However, I remember feeling the exact same way as you. And, with only the words of authors and oft dubious online accounts, to offer comparison, it could be quite disheartening.

@@PlagueCabaret Spirit (or as I call it, "The Universe", "The Creator" or, more simply, "Jesus") works the same way for me (synchronicity, etc.). To be honest, the LAST thing that I want to hapoen is to meet ANY of these spirits because I don't believe that ANY of them are interested in my own good. I'm not just talking about the fae, but ghosts, demons, angels, etc. as well. It should be noted that although I personally practice a religion (Chrinduism) that believes in the existence of demigods, I DO NOT work with them directly, instead using them as inspiration for the different aspects of life and how to live it to the fullest. If I want any "favors", I ask the Creator and if it says, "No.", I move on with my life. I hope that makes sense. ;)

Excellent video. I appreciate the "don't be a dumbass, do your research" style videos. Too many pagan youtubers do videos on subjects they freely admit they don't know anything about, just because their followers ask them to. That's always a warning sign to stay away from that youtuber because they don't understand the importance of *not trying to teach something they have no experience with*.
I live in Australia and dont really know much about the faeries here. I wonder how many of them would be what i consider Aboriginal spirits of the land. Trust me, it isn't worth getting involved with those spirits unless they make the first move. If you aren't Aboriginal, don't disturb them. They are sad and angry and broken from colonisation. I believe the events of the Stolen Generation has led to many necessary spiritual practices for the well-being of these spirits and the land, dying out without being passed on and they are traumatised and in crisis. Even though you can't help being descended from a coloniser, they don't care. They don't want your offerings, they will see it as an insult. They don't want anything to do with you. They just want to be left alone to grieve. Make friends with trees, etc, but leave the Dreamtime spirits alone. If you want to help them, you can only do it by helping Aboroginal people. Work on reconciliation and supporting Aboriginal causes that get Aboroginal people in touch with healing themselves. Only when the can they reconnect properly with the land, can they heal it. And then perhaps as a white person you will be able to practice with those spirits. But this will not be for several centuries.
I know my understanding of this is incomplete and I welcome any corrections.

A lot of people just assume that they're more powerful than these beings and fail to understand that humans are the bottom of the spiritual totem pole. Just because you have a bit of magic and power, every other spirital entity is stronger than us as a whole. Yes, there are weaker demons just as there are stronger humans. But the ranges for other spiritual entities are far higher than those of humans.
Don't think you're stronger than a fae. That kind of mindset will haunt you throughout your life.

I have a Fae who looks out for me. I never asked her too! I wanted to research and make sure I didn't do anything stupid to piss them off. She was drawn to my energies. She revealed her name to me in a dream and the Messanger of Fire card from The Good Tarot was also shown. The Fae doorway is in my backyard. I have been putting moss down and am working on a special house for them. I want to add bells as well. They love chocolate. She has really looked out for me. I am very careful to not use certain phrases to upset them. I think me caring for the animals has helped with this relationship. I haven't seen her in person, but I know she is there!

Thank you for putting this post up. The Fae are something quite different than mass media makes them out to be. They are ancient and must be treated with respect. All wording needs to be watched with how you work with them, and they will want something from you for every request you ask for them for. It will be in benefit them a lot too. Think of being in a Court Room and every wording might determine your guilt or innocence. Don't assume anything with the Fae. I do work with them and be careful.
