I believe it's Varathane Carbon Gray, but I'm not 100% sure about that. Maybe test it on some scrap wood and see how she likes it. Thanks for watching! Watching back it may be when I was doing a brown wash and then a weathered gray over that. Sorry I can't be more specific!
Why can you not use the pocket hose to hold the top on I’ve seen a lot of people use the method you just have and I do it myself is there any reason that I can’t just use the pocket house just think it’s one less thing I need to buy
I used pocket hole screws for a long time when I first started out. Here in the Pacific Northwest we don't get much humidity so lower chance of the wood warping/cupping. I haven't had problems here with pocket holes. I just like learning new techniques and I did that here. You can use what you want, just be aware of the possible downside. Thanks for watching.
Here's a bench I build that's a popular seller: ruclips.net/video/-0_2gxyWztI/видео.html and a matching coat rack ruclips.net/video/B9srF5V7b3w/видео.html and be sure to watch my tutorial on building X braces ruclips.net/video/kIUtbkd5Tuo/видео.html
Allen, the only plan I've followed so far that I can think of is Anna White's coffee table which I show in my "How to Lose a Sale" video. I usually just come up with a size and work my way backwards. So, for example, I'm currently working on a bench my customer requested. The length is 5ft long. For that length, I have a 1 inch overhang all around. So, for the length, the body of the bench would then be 58 inches. Since the 2x4 legs are actually 3 1/2 inches wide I know that the side apron needs to be 51 inches long. 51 for side apron, 7 total for legs brings it to 58. Room for the 1 inch overhang on each end. I hope that is understandable. Thanks for asking!
Very nice job. Question about the table top fasteners. You use them on the table top but what about the shelves? Does the same principle not apply? I see that you used pocket screws to attach the shelves to the legs. Would this not cause an issue with movement?
Good question, Eric. Whatever movement might occur because of varying humidity levels would happen at the sides of the boards, not at the ends. That's how I understand it anyway. I've never had a complaint of any shelves warping. I have had a top that did. That's why I went with the tabletop fasteners for tops. If the shelves start becoming a problem then I would look for a remedy. I'm not claiming to be an expert, just sharing my experience. Thanks for stopping by.

Hey Mark, thanks for checking out the channel!
@@RonniesWorkshop you are welcome.

Would love to know what stain you used on the top. Awesome build ,I just built a similar one and the wife likes the color of your stain.

How tall is the table
I don't recall about this particular one. Probably around 34-35"

I see what you’re saying now thanks for the reply and I think I’ll stick to what I’m doing which is the same as what you have here
Dimensions please
I don't recall exact dimensions. This was a time lapse video of the build for entertainment, not instruction. Thanks for watching!
Do u have any build videos for instruction? What state and city do you build for local customers?

Where do you get your plans?
