Thank you! I’m working towards a plumbing certificate at my local community college and this helped a lot! I didn’t completely understand what you said about the fixtures/p-traps being at different elevations, but I’ll watch this video one hundred more times and eventually the light bulb will go turn on in my head. Please continue making more of these!!!
One hundred more times? Wow, that's dedication! I hope the light bulb doesn't burn out before it turns on in your head. Keep watching and you'll get it!
I sometimes miss my mechanical drawing classes and architectural design classes from high school. Senior year you had to design a home from scratch with all the necessary drawings from foundation to the roof. I actually won 🏅 the blue ribbon from a prestigious trade school, but blew it all off as I was expecting to be heading to Viet Nam shortly (but it never happened)…so I went to automotive school instead 🤷♂️. You just have to train your brain to see things differently and it gets easier. Nice job Mikey! 👍👍
Many thanks for posting such an honest, instructive and helpful video, Mike. I had become very unimpressed with your content and nearly unsubscribed on several occasions. This video has made me so glad I kept the subscription to the channel. It would be great if elements of this video could be included in your other content, make them more informative like you used to and make Mikey Pipes great again.
What code does Florida use? Wet venting allowed? What fitting is that where you have the WC, FD, and Tub all connecting to waste stack at same elevation?
This has NOTHING to do with fittings and what's allowed and NOT allowed. This is about drawing an isometric. That's it. And for the record, it's called a National.
I’m second guessing spending my money for the iso cram prep if you have 15 mins to talk I’m a 30 year old young man looking to further my career in plumbing been doing it for 7 years and now ready for the exam
bro, exam Pros is a joke! I've already found three or four mistakes on their isometrics and I suck at them. I think I know the one you were referring to was it drawing number 7 I saw that. Do some more videos bro there's no good information out there we need you!
@@MikeyPipesUncensored thanks Mikey, I’m taking the exam next month. I bought course material from a local Exam prep school. The isometric material isn’t very extensive, any suggestions where they sell good isometric material ?
Hey Mikey, of Mikey Pipes Plumbing not easy being cheesy. I like your podcast/social media. Hmm, isometric and riser drawing ?. I do a lot of drawing myself , for some or all my projects. Believe me, you don't wants drawing done by a archittect that has been approve by the government. lol. Love you buddy. Jolly good shows old boy, God save the King.
The student will design/create a 2 storey isometric residential home with a drain plan of the underground plumbing. Included in the home the student will install all DWV for at least 12 fixtures. The student will determine the size and layout of the home along with the layout of the plumbing system. The drawing is to be scaled to a measurement chosen by the student. All drains will be shown in red and all the vents will to shown in dotted green. Included with the drawing the student will provide a legend, title block, table with fixture units for each fixture and total fixture units for the home. Do you know how I would even begin on doing this as I've tried looking at things on RUclips and it doesn't explain much at all.
So when I took the state of Florida license master plumbers exam in July 2023 I believe I had five isometric drawings only for drainage waste vent. That was it. No water piping no gas piping just drainage and vent piping. The only thing I can suggest is to learn how to make use of the available space of that 8 1/2 x 11 piece of isometric paper, if you run out of room, you cannot tape together another piece to extend it it does not have to be to scale right keep that in mind, but it Hass to show direction of flow and it Hass to theoretically work and remember poop does not go uphill

How would you do an isometric of 12 fixtures in a two story residential house? I have a project on that but have no clue how to begin.
start from the bottom. focus on spacing. you don't want to run outta room
Yes, we can call you Bob Ross isometric drawings
How did you bring your books to the exam site? Did you use a dolly?
I used a large suitcase.
I like the no passing rate for the exam, would you want a doctor that got 70%. 30% he screws up your surgery.
