  • Credit to Eastman for the recording of these great players. They are playing Eastman instruments.
(I recommend watching the original video, linked below! Great preamble to the performance.)
Tenor Saxophone - Bob Mintzer - Eastman 52nd Street ETS652
Double Bass - Chuck Israels - Andreas Eastman VB605
Tune: "Doxy" composed by Sonny Rollins

    1. First bass note is B half flat, not B half sharp (originally wrote as B flat and sharped it from there, whoops)

wow amazing. reminds of back in my day, when i used to sit in our school music practise rooms and sit around listening to these old cats, in awe of the sound. an old friend and i would spend hours jamming to these same charts. beautiful tune, amazing transcription!

I saw the video thumbnail and got excited thinking this would be the Doxy performance and it was!
Great video editing too. I really like the transitions you used on the sheet music.

Right-click any marker that appears in the timecode track then choose Clear All Markers from the menu that appears. With the Source panel selected, go to the Markers menu and choose Clear All Markers. With the Source panel selected, use the keyboard shortcut Command+Opt+M (Mac) or Control+Alt+M (Windows).

What would’ve been great is if the tenor sax was in B flat so I could play it easier

Отличная идея, но теноровую партию лучше писать в теноровой тональности...
