About the piece:
This Piano Funk Groove was recorded in my living room on a Yamaha G3 on May 29th, 2016.
The piece took shape over a period of a few months and grew from improvising and fooling around with different grooves and harmonies.
I wrote out a draft, added and deleted bars and parts several times, revised some details here and there until I got the result you can listen to now. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy playing this final version.
The backing track (94 bpm) was arranged with Groove Agent in Steinberg Cubase, so I'm for now the only human playing on this video.
About the name:
As part of a Viennese district close to the centre and Museumsquartier, the "Spittelberg" belongs to the historic centre of Vienna and is therefore also included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Why then choose this name? Because my living room is somewhere at the Spittelberg ;-)

Adobe Premiere Pro
All Cameras were mounted on tripods or microphone stands and created still video footage, so zooms and pans were made in post. I had to do several takes to the backing track to get many different angles. Of course audio was recorded separately with my stereo mics.
Maybe next time I'll let someone take some moving shots :-)
Am still learning and trying to figure out the whole video production process myself.
