Nice one as always
There’s a lot common in Somalia and Indian food. It feels like my second home. Love from India to all my Somalians.
True , Indian food has similiarity. Somalis and Indians dominated the ancient space trade and spread spices to the rest of the world . ✌️❤️
We traded with India since ancient times. We used to get our spices from India and resell it to Europe. The Europeans really thought spices came from Somalia so in 1490s, the Portuguese decided to investigate. That's how Vasco da Gama came to Somalia before he annexed parts of India (Goa) upon realising India was the origin. Some years later, Somalis would kill his son.
@@Hawd wow that’s pretty accurate tho.

Somalis are unique people and they can adapt and create live every where. They don’t affair to try new things, don’t afraid to fail, they make friends quickly and they are a society full of confidence.
❤️from Canada 🇨🇦
Generally in Europe, they didn't adapt at all. Most of them are on welfare with no job and only keep to themselves in Somalian community.
I'm not hating, just stating the fact.
@@veg7nlif376 Reason??? Too.much hostility and the slavery welfare system.
We tried to open miniature shops in West London, (in Asian populated area), the whole area got burnt down. No compensation, nothing.
When someday needed a new phone , pop over to the police station, get a complaint letter, that a Somali youth snatched their phone.
We decided to open a voluntary organisation in the West of London, to try and tackle the problems the community was facing I and my coworker actually saw children with their school bags, being stopped and being put in lines on a wall, and being photographed by police, when my coworker asked what the problem was, he tried to hide the camera and said to him they were joking with the kids. What can u say about that??? I wld call criminalising these kids, even before they become adults

somalis not somalians even he didn’t make that mistake
There's no such thing as Somalian. It's Somali
Thanks James!
Wow! I have been following this channel for a while without realizing it had featured my beloved Somali community in Minnesota. I truly love it! The great Somali Musician Hibo Nura is also in the video.
Much Respect for diving into history of Somalia. You definitely have to do for others, it adds huge richness to the content. Say, you can talk about your favorite, Egypt lol
Somalis and Vikings get along very well that's why we moved to minnesota, also Sweden Norway and Denmark has large Somali communities.
Them pirates and Vikings have same line of jobs lol

Thank you,
We are still waiting for you Vanessa Morris.
I went to school in Saint Paul and had some amazing Somalia friends. Very respectful people.
I only had Somalian food once in the bay area and was quite surprised by the spiciness. I like spicy food, but it was different than the Asian, Mexican and other type of spicy I had before. I am looking forward trying it again. This showed me so many other possibilities.
A1 sauces and spices and they give you big portion for like 20 dollars
Yay finally a somali cuisine. Thank you sonny 🇸🇴🇸🇴🇸🇴

Hi
Love this channel and the host. His respect and acceptance of other cultures is inspiring.
I'm a 🇧🇩 from 🇬🇧 Somali food is incredible!
The people are friendly, humble and true to there faith. As they become more prosperous, God willing they will continue to be humble and God Conscious.
I like how Sonny remembers every food he eats around the world. The way he remembers kwek kwek as it look similar to that Somali dish, it makes me like his content even more.
It's a voiceover of Sonny. Which means he's probably reading off a script, prepared by his team.
@@rileyliu8952 he actually said it on the spot after he tasted it. Here 2:39
The food also looked similar, so no surprise he remembered it. Lol
One of the most homogeneous land on earth, the strongest warriors in Africa aka the lions of Africa , exotic beautiful people with rich history and the food has so much different flavours and spices. I mean very good people 🇸🇴🇸🇴🇬🇧
Wakusalamay huno
Somali is not homogenous country thers Indian,Baloch Bantus Arab all call home so the theory says Somalis are same ehnic group lie but really diverse nation.
@@abdiazizroble3946 somalia is culturally and religiously homogenous but I cant say the same thing about genetics. If you take out somaliland then yes you could consider it homogenous.
@@shueibdahirwarya are u crazy
@@nasadebizi6760 maybe or maybe not, but im quite serious
That Blaze orange ball is AMAZING! Top 3 Ramadan dish easy 🥰
I am a white resident of Minneapolis and the Somali Mall is a fun place to go. Best place for Sambusa and Chai outside of East Africa
Why do u say white just say human
@@bonfire7803 Just showing that people outside the Somali culture go to that Mall and appreciate all the things the Somali people have added to our community. Minneapolis can be a very racist and unwelcoming place so it is important to acknowledge that not everyone is like that.
mall of 24? just know when you walk by they talking shit about you unbeknownst to you lmfao.
Somali are amazing people ! Greetings from Eritrean American
So are you eritreans aswell✊🏾
Mashallah it's great to see this ummah growing, may Allah swt bless you all Ameen🤲 🇬🇧🤗🙏🇧🇩

Hi Sonny if you are reading this I just wanna say that I enjoy watching your channel/videos very much. You are open to learn about other people's culture, tradition and even their religion. I love how this channel has so many elements from religion to history and many more.
You are also a funny person in your own way. Your sense of humour and how you deliver it is what makes me not want to skip your videos despite it being a one or two hours of duration!!!
At times I need to remind myself that this is a RUclipsr doing what he loves and not the typical food documentary that I always watch on TV. Props to you and your team for making the channel an amazing one. Keep it up and good luck for your future projects!
Sonny for the last several years I've watched your videos, always entertaining, experimental and very daring at times. But I think this one was my favorite. Makes me want to move there just for the cultural experience. It was very well thought out, gave lots of details of Somali life in the USA and how they have adapted and thrived. I would love to visit each and every one of those places. Wish I could hit thumbs up more than one time.
Thanks a lot!

This is one of the best episodes like ever. The Somalian people are so welcoming and they are ready to present their culture to all of us and that's something special. Bravo to the team!
