In this video you will learn how a very new Alpha Clone can use the Venture Mining Frigate to make almost 5 Million ISK per hour.

Another good tip is to make friends who can provide mining boosts. :D
Very good tip!
make friends who manufacture, and will buy your ore... hauling not required.
This is the best tip. Hooking up with a corp I increased my isk/hour by 1.5 mil because I could focus on just mining my corps cleared rats and provided boosts providing a bunch of security.
You are simple and amazing at explaining eve online things ,thank you for doing this!
Fantastic video, thanks a lot for sharing. There are plenty of people here saying you could have done x or y, but at the end of the day, this is for alpha players. I'm three days into the game, and thoroughly enjoying even just being in this universe. Taking it easy, not constantly having to be multitasking and involved in high intensity tasks, that's the sort of gaming I got away from, and that's the sort of freedom EVE seems to give players. So once again, thanks for the efforts here. Liked, subbed, and bell'd. Looking forward to working my way through your other videos. Clear explanation, good audio, can't ask for more really. Keep doing what you're doing!
I've never been a Pro Miner so my Fitting wasn't perfect in the video. Here are some other fittings that should work better.

is there a better ship for mining for alpha clones?
its was going great with venture unitl one guy just donated me 10mil
so is there anything that I can buy for mining better then venture
As an alpha clone, no I don't think so. Just skill up and use Mining Laser II and Mining Laser Upgrade II, that will help.
ok thanks!
so that's literally the best option for alphas that give the highest possible ore yield on the lasers? Right now currently my yield is 414 units a minute per laser.
Jormungand13324 you can get more yield by joining a mining fleet. I personally like the "Coalition of Independent miners". You should check out their ingame channel (same as here)
Over three years old, but still good stuff. Appreciate this.
I scrolled down to see if there was a recent reply. Hopefully you see this and can help me. I tried to mine some other stuff today (other than veldspar) and the game seemed to be telling me I couldn't mine other things? (as an alpha.) Have the mechanics changed, or have i been stoopid?
Is it possible to mine loads of different stuff, following the advice in this video, and make some good money? What did you mine and how did it go?
Thanks in advance :)
@@LKeet6 Hi. Nothing like that has changed recently. If your mining lasers could mine veldspar then you should be fine for any other asteroid.
Two things to check. And I apologize if this sounds rude at all. 1. you can probably ONLY mine asteroids, nothing else. Check your skills to see how good you are at it. 2. If your cargo hold is full, then you can't mine anything until you empty it out.
@@jayhenry2197 I've been playing for 3 days and I'm not a sensitive type person, so no offence taken at all!
Ok, I must've done something wrong along the line and got confused.
Thanks for clearing up!
Do you mind just telling me did you follow this video closely and what kind of success you had?
@@LKeet6 I cannot count the number of times I've left my ore in the hold and went back out to mine. So just from my experience that's my first guess.
Otherwise.... maybe you mis-clicked something when you were targeting the asteroid? Let me know if it happens next time and we'll brainstorm some more.
@@jayhenry2197 thanks a lot man. I'll get back to you. Im sure it's just trial and error. I don't play MMOs, don't play PVP games and Ive gone for literally the most in depth one there is! haha. I do like getting obsessed with one game though, so that's an advantage. I'm taking it slow, doing all the intro missions and stuff, enjoying it.
The rookie help is useful, but talking to one person like this is great. Appreciate it.
love your voice for this application. you are very easy to understand and get to the point quickly! new sub
Thanks, glad you like it.
Rounding up or down a bunch of times can multiply up to a distorted amount that is of little use. I would discourage rounding as much as practicable.
Example Lets say it took 15 mins (really 20 including transport and admin) to mine 50 000 units (really 45 000) to get 6 per unit (really 5.2).
One calculation show a result of 1 200 000 whilst the other shows a result of 702 000. So you can see how minor adjustments or roundings can quickly result in dramatically different results.
Thanks for your content.
I think your guide video is great for a newbie. I remember when I started out 7 years ago and didn't know nothing....7 years since, with breaks, I logged on again after as they made it free-to-play. A lot of things have changed so it was helpful to watch this video. For me the basic idea of the described Venture fitting worked well. There is allays a better fitting, this depends on your skills, wallet and on what you want. You can spend your time looking for the perfect fitting or just get out there and make some isk. My Venture doesn't take Miner II because of power issues. Thanks any way for the video. I am considering to buy Omega Status again. If I loose the venture....it is just pixels. Fly safe.
Made me sad reading your comment. You'd probably enjoy the game way more if you would abandon the venture and play eve for real. Mining is for alt accounts, not a main activity. Especially for 4m/hour... that doesn't even pay for a frigate after AN HOUR of farming lul.
miGGe no need to be sad. This was three years ago.
Currently focused on plagioclase to help mass-produce miner-1's, thanks for the guide!
Great info thank you. I agree with everything except working with compressed ore as an alpha. Mine a belt and compress in a refinery. It can increase the cost of the minerals. And you can haul more in your venture.
I play eve online for 2 days ur video helped me a loot as i have reached dragon ship and buyed venture so i can get isk
Thank you !
Did you keep playing EVE? If so how much isk have you made so far?
some lack on explanation on hauling ore...however this video is solid. Some more things I would add to mining with venture in high: in order to get some money to pay tax if u selling like 100 up to 200 Mil stacks of ore u probably should reconsider to sell to buy orders first time. Due Long Range Targeting 3 and venture ship based attributes youre able to lock up to 18 km radius. Your Mining Laser goes whithout any mining boost only up to 16 km. Drones are able to deal with rats up to 35 km however some time they just don't attack although they are set on aggressive and focus fire. So keep in mind it might happen that NPC's just kite you staying out of range, especially if they have ewar on them like sensor dampners. AFK is probably the worst mining ever. Semi AFK as running EVE in background is worth doing so due being able to react if you hear your armor squeezing. Remember the more expensive meta you fit on venture the more attractive you appear to gankers (in negative way): The current fit as shown in video is solid however just use meta 3 shield extenders otherwise you are sitting like 40 minutes up to 1 hrs longer in belt in case u loose your ship.
i use 2 miner 2s, mining upgrade, salvager, em active shield tank, shield booster, survey, and 2 hobgobs. never mine afk and if you're worried about getting ganked, align to a station before you start mining and when someone shows up in a non mining ship and begins to approach you simply warp away before you get tackled.
alternatively. fit up a couple gas harvesters and probe scanner and jump into an uninhabited wormhole. find a gas cloud and mine it until sleepers show up, repeat until cargo is full and sell for ~20mil isk
if you can find a friend to haul for you then fit up a cruiser/destroyer with as many mining lasers as you can and jetcan the contents
Probably mentioned, but you can compress ore at citadels and sell those in jita to buy orders for great isk
Thanks for that vid, man. I'll watch your other's too. Greets from germany..
Update, DEC 21. ITS MORE LIKE 2+ MILLION ISK PER HOUR. The ore prices have fallen.
VENTURE FIT FOR MORE YIELD:

NOTES
1. Drones/Rigs are changed for the specific rats in the mining system. Good for all hi sec.
2. The salvager is good for moral support not for making significant isk.
Not worth any training time.
3.
moral support salvager xd
what happened to the "Distance From" textbox? I'm not seeing it as of 5/5/2017
Two hobs will kill any rats in hisec before they get through a single medium shield extender.
Nice guide.
There isn't any one way to do this, it depends on where you are in the game - and you should think about that before you adopt attitudes like - "selling immediate is bad".
If you are being held back in the game because you don't have the money to buy what you need - then Sell Immediate will get you that money NOW.
Once you've gotten to the point where you pretty much have what you want - and are working towards a more long term goal, THEN creating Sell orders is the better way to go.
There is another factor in all that though - which is - understanding how the Market Works. A lot of new players have NO IDEA how the Market works. Unless things have changed a lot since I was doing a lot of trading - the sale goes to the low bidder - regardless of which item the buyer picks. Thus - if you have three identical items listed on a station - one selling for 100, one for 200 and one for 300 - the only one that will ever actually sell is the one for 100. If players pick the 200 or 300 ISK item - the SALE will go to the person with the 100 ISK item - though - at the 200 or 300 price they elected to buy it at . Thus you have all these 1 cent trading wars where you have all these things that are very, very close in price - all strung out - with the one on top (sorted by lowest price) being the ONLY one getting any sales in that station.
One of the things you can do if you get an extra skill book - is go to a school station - (which sells most skills) and do a Show Market on the item. The School will be selling them all at like 75,000 ISK (or whatever). Put your item up for sale at 74,999.99 - and you WILL get the very next sale of that Skill Book - no matter which they chose.
There are a very large number of people playing EVE that do not know that. You can tell by how they'll take some one off item - and sell it for 1 cent ABOVE the School. That Item will NEVER sell.
If your price is 1 cent greater than that of another of the same item in a station - the ONLY way that you item will EVER sell - is if someone buys up all the ones that are cheaper than yours. Until they do that - you CANNOT sell your item.
So - telling new people to NEVER use Sell Immediate - isn't as good a bit of advice as you might think.
There are a lot of complexities in using the Market and Games Trader's Play ... if you go to Jita and try and compete with these guys - you are going to be at a real disadvantage and not even know it.
The "Sell a short distance away but with enough volume to attract someone with a Freighter" is a good idea - but - you need to understand how much lower your price needs to be, how far away someone will travel and how much volume you need to have. All that comes with experience new players don't have.
Thus - Sell Immediate - has some real advantages for a new player that needs the money NOW.
What I do - is to look at the market for Veldspar. I mine Veldspar because it is the easiest ore to mine and takes up the least amount of space in your hold per unit. Another ore - will take up more space - so - while that ore may well be more valuable - you can't mine as much of it per run.
And - as you mentioned - Veldspar is every where (except ... apparently now - null sec ... ???)
The other thing about mining Veldspar is - it is always in need and you can always get a decent price on it. You don't need to go reference some third party web site to figure out which is selling the best - right now - because those ore prices change all the time.
Now - your example of Sell Immediate was HORRIBLE. You took the price from the guy casting a large net. There was another station 1 jump away - (if I was able to read the screen fast enough) that sold for a much better price.
Also - your advice about the horrors of hauling in a T1 Industrial were much over blown. Here - you need to put a decent fit on it - but after that - they aren't that easy to gank. I have that Gallente Industrial Ore Hauler - that I put a 20,000 HP tank on. As long as you are in High Sec - and - not flying during a Ganking Tournament where Gankers are throwing away Battleships to kill Industrials - just so they rate higher in the Tournament - then you are probably going to be fine.
But - rather than haul your ore in an industrial to the station with the best price - you can GO there and do mine and return to and from that station. Here - you can Sell Immediate and get a good price NOW - cash in your pocket - and don't have to haul anything any where - because you are mining and selling in the same system. THAT is all the more reason to mine Veldspar - because it's everywhere.
As to the fits I use - I don't typically put Rigs on Frigates because I move them to much in industrials. If I'm going to set up shop in a different system for whatever reason - I might want to take several ships with me - or - bring something back - so I transport my Venture there in an industrial - and have to repackage it to do that - which means - I can't have any rigs on it.
The other elements of the fit vary with where I'm going to mine and how much money my character has.
The Gausians are nice because they've got a 16 km range - which means you don't have to move the ship that much. If all the rocks around you are gone - then it's no problem to move closer to another rock - but - if you're mining one in one direction and another in another - closing one of them may take you away from the other - and that 16 km range is good for that - but - the T2 miners mine like 10 m3 more per cycle ... So - once I can fit the T2's I usually do.
As to the Damage Control Module - that depends on where I want to mine - mostly I put a Mining Laser Upgrade in there. I usually don't put the T2 version on a Venture as I don't want to make the Venture more attractive as a ganking target. I'll put those on my Retrievers though - as they're already in the class of ships that someone might want to gank if they think they can get away with it.
I always fit an Ore Scanner so I can see which rocks have the most ore left in them - and sort the results by Quantity. That way - I have to re-target my lasers less often. One thing here - is that EVE is designed to be able to run multiple copies of the game one a single computer. Since my good gaming system died I've been using a cheap $300.00 system and I can run 3 copies of the game on that workably. It's not ideal as it takes a little time to respond to mouse clicks - so I wouldn't recommend doing PVP like that but for mining it's OK. Running multiple accounts like that - I don't like to have the lasers shut off any sooner than I can avoid.
Using a former Omega Character with advanced mining skills and T2 Miners in a Venture I was able to fill the Ore Hold in 9 minutes - from the station to the belt and back to the station. With another minute to sell the ore right then and there - money in my pocket - I could make 6 runs (AND COLLECT THE MONEY) in an hour.
Here - you see people make claims about how much they made in an hour - but - they didn't really GET that money in an hour. They still had to make arrangements to sell it and that could take a much longer period of time - depending on how they did it. Doing mine and return at the station of a player with a buy order - you get that money RIGHT THEN.
The RUclips Editor will choke on posts that are to big so I'll just end this here and hope for the best.
.
Don't forget you can sell immediate to buy orders instead of having 3 months selected and have no brokers fees. It doesn't fully make up the difference, but it does some.
You'll have to play 13 hours a day, every day, mining, just to get enough isk for omega. I would say this is a good way to go starting off to get some money to get other ships and equipment, but i wouldnt use it for a constant income.
Gallente Alpha here, is the Jita trading hub worth moving out of Sinq Liason to Metropolis for? Or is Dodixie a good enough hub?
Small suggestion, always link things you mention in your video. Like EFT, or the one I couldn't pick out: Pyther? Python?
Tony i use pyfa, its awesome. The stats are always spot on. because i check now and then between my fit loaded in pyfa and my fit in game, just for the sake of it and all the stats of my ships are exact. You can add your API so you can load your skills you've learnt into pyfa and then fit your ships and work out what stats to expect with your current skill set
github.com/pyfa-org/Pyfa/releases/tag/v1.24.0
I have links to all the "must have" tools on the side bar of my website.
watch out for triglavian ships they are a pain and I have been jumped on more than a few times especially when on ice
I've found that Plagioclase gives the best isk for the volume it takes.
Hi, I'm just starting out and trying a but of everything at the moment. I'm just wondering, is there a benefit to you doing a buy order rather than selling to a buy order? Do you have to deliver it if you sell to a buy order? I'm just trying to understand why you made a buy order for 70 ISK while there were already buyers prepared to pay more?
As of right now, with T2 miners and T2 Mining upgrades, max alpha skills for mining, and a 1% mining yield implant: You can pull in 380m3/minute on a venture
With the current prices for plagio and viscous pyrox, you can get about 3.6mil/hr if you're constantly mining. probably closer to 3mil an hour with hauling, rats, and w/e else.
I was doing this but with kernite, do you think is worth or its better with rich plagioclase
Looks like Massive Scordite and Dense Veldspar might be worth mining as well as the Plagiocase ores
another option is to fit an Adaptive Invulnerability Field in the second mid -- at least for NPC belt rats. with halfway decent skills you could run this and laser miners indefinitely.
make an Overview to show NPC rats, stations, gates, other ships. then you are aware of what is in belt, D-Scan will show ships in the immediate vicinity and you can easily align to your home station.
use the Survey scanner to show asteroids, with an occasional glimpse at a Mining tab on Overview to see the next closest Plagiocase
learn to make and use bookmarks -- they are invaluable throughout the game.
the default warp-in for any belt is at least 20km away from the rocks, make a bookmark 2-3,000 meters away from rocks for your initial warp to any belt (label it "Vaankalen IV - 2"). then temporary ones for where you left off mining ("work" or some other label), separate bookmarks for when you first kill any NPC rats ("wrecks 1420" using the EVE time) you can leave them be for up to 2 hours ( salvage by 1619 EVE time). you can right-click an asteroid or an NPC wreck and choose "Save Location" from the context menu to make a bookmark. or open People and Places and press the button Add Bookmark at the bottom to save your ship's location.
-- another good bookmark to have is an "Insta-dock bookmark" for the station you keep everything at
-- if you put a dash or other punctuation mark at the beginning of a bookmark label, it gets tossed in front of any alphabetical list of local bookmarks (bookmarks for the system you are in)
make another racial frigate into a belt-salvaging ship (fit with Salvagers, Tractor Beam to pull in your wrecks, Microwarpdrive to move quickly to wrecks far away, shield or armor mods to hold off rats while you salvage (or orbit wrecks you are salvaging to lessen damage)
the Industry and Business Career Agents both give out free Ventures as well.
Used Hobgoblins in 0.7 rats did ok but took some medium shield damage. Great video thanks for the tips.
mitchell osborn #Didyouknow shields regenerate at no cost to you.
4mil per hour... only 12.5 days of nonstop mining and u have a plex! Very useful.
you mean 312,5 hours of work .... an average fulltime job is between 40 and 50 hours a week ...
I'd rather quit the game....4m per hour, awful choice of income
why do you set up a sell order when there's a buy order with a higher amount(71 isk in the same station)?
I've been away from Eve for a few years, but when I played, the tanked retriever was the way to afk mine with little worry of a gank (no profit). Can you not fly a retriever with an alpha clone? Seems the larger cargo hold and better isk per hour would be worth it.
I'm also wondering if it's possible to get into an orca with an alpha clone. I read that CCP recently reduced the requirements to fly one. Thanks.
You can't fly either as an alpha clone. T1 and Navy frigates, destroyers, cruisers, Industrials and the Venture. That's it.
Oh that's quite limiting. Ty.
and how do you do long distances by not using the autopilot
What was that website we could use to calculate whip fittings and stuff?
For fittings you can use the in game fitting simulator or Pyfa which is located here: github.com/pyfa-org/Pyfa/releases/tag/v1.24.0
I really wanna try a probe scanner on a venture to look for deep forgotten nullsec systems to mine in. But I've never lived in null so I don't know if the rats are too much for a venture
Best ISK making methods for alpha newbro's or alpha's in general (the only good ones I kind of know tbh):
-ninja gas huffing in a Venture (wormhole gas ofc)
-exploring
-Faction Warfare in lowsec
-Lowsec ratting (my personal favourite).
IceCream9873 might I ask though as a noob explorer, I know that the big money you speak of is in those wormhole sites, but the npcs there are brutal, sleepers and awakened and the like. So how does a noob explorer deal with the npcs guarding the sites I scan down and get that sweet money lol.
The Lowmein First of all, don't run sleeper sites, but sites from pirate factions like Guristas, Serpentis, Angel Cartel or Sansha sites. You can recognize them by the name if you scan a site down. The sleeper sites are hard to do for a starter, so pirate sites are the better ones. If you haven't, you should use one of your faction's exploration ships.
All have the same bonuses but another slot layout.
Feel free to ask more questions :)
IceCream9873 all I seem to find in wormholes are sleeper sites, and when I do find an unguarded site is has either low value salvage parts or coal. I have found that harvesting the gas sites pays pretty well though.
The Lowmein Gas huffing is probably my favourite in wormholes too, you warp in, huff gas, run when sleepers spawn or combat probes are on dscan and repeat. It made me 20 million ISK with 2 trips with my Venture. (it wasn't completely filled too!) You'll be fine if you avoid the ordinairy perimeter sites
Trading is profitable, too. That's what I do as an alpha. Not as exciting, though.
So the venture has 5000 cargo capacity? says 50 m3 on the info in market or am I looking at wrong number?
He is talking about the ORE hold which can only hold ore. The regular cargo hold is only 50m3 that is true.
ok got it now ty
ore hold, not cargo bay
Eve Pro Guides I would like to point out that the Mercoxit is down at the bottom of the list because it is arranged per price per volume. where Veldspar is lowest and Mercoxit is more. That's why Mercoxit is at the bottom.
To bad Alpha can not mine that stuf because the deep core laser is only for Omega.
Don’t tank your goddamn venture. They’re pretty much designed to be expendable.
Hey, I'm running security missions for Gallente and I'm at level 4 missions. Now I'm starting to get hated by Caladiri because they are the faction against Gallente so my standing with them is -2.49 and I'm wondering how much attention i should pay to this. If it goes to -5.0 i know that their police will shoot me on site in their system but the problem is Jita is a caldari system. Should i worry about losing access to jita? would it be good to make a caldari alt and sit him in jita incase i wanma purchase stuff? or should i just ignore it. Ive been playing a long time and never used Jita yet but i realise its the biggest trade hub
If i have an alt on the same account can that character "give" items to my main that he has purchased from jita and also the other way, can i give items to that character to sell at jita incase my standings go -5.0 and i cant get into jita system
You need to train your Social Skills to help with your standings. For info about them is here: wiki.eveuniversity.org/Skills:Social
More importantly, stop doing "faction missions". If the mission is having you fight any actual Caldari navy ships, as opposed to say Guristas Pirates or some other pirate faction, just decline it. If you have to decline them faster than the standings hit timer cycles, just move to another system. Getting those standings back later will be far more difficult than losing them is now.
As a new player game can be to confusing mean those missions etc u need this u need that attach use launch so i decide to try little freelancing the game. Start to mining some ores then reprocess but yes those taxes are pain in ass so then decide to sell raw mininig material also now work like cargo if i spot some materials on market for low price i buy them then jump 5-7 times and put those gods in market for much higher price in stations where those materials are rare. For 3 days total 20h playing my market total net wegis almost 13m isk and have 5m isk in stock so do i do good or just cat is to big for mouse like me...
I was really hoping for a cyno fitted venture, or a neut and drone damage upgrades. Maybe next time. :)
Maybe one day. Right now I'm trying to put out some solid guides from the new players who will stating to play in the next few weeks. The more people we can get to stick with EVE and become long time players, the better off the game will be.
But don't worry, I will be doing more PVP Videos soon.
S'all good man, love your guides, and long time sub. As much as I detest mining, its a necessary evil.
I feel like where the venture TRULY stands out is gas harvesting. It is actually better at it than the barges and exhumers.
would it be quicker to mine with a thorax/vexor?
i havent compared them, but when i started i ran a thorax with lasers,
Vexor has mining drones bonus, but alphas can't use mining drones, so it's not worth it.
ahh
Here is my contribution - in a frigate, always orbit something. Speed is life. even tho a catalyst will track you pretty well, it is not as fast as you and will ignore you.
P.S. If you can set a long enough orbit and still hit 2 rocks.
After some further musings on the topic, i believe that your approach to the fit might have some flaws:
- First, alpha clones have access to Mining IV, allowing the use of TII mining lasers, which offer appreciable benefit in terms of yield over meta versions (~20%).
- Second, further down the line of my first suggestion, you are still dealing with a frigate with decent speed, making a single medium extender and afterburner just as viable form of defense ( it requires orbit to function, but the venture is a frigate, it should not stand still, ever).
- And here is a minor nitpick - if you expect a Catalyst gank (Thrasher or Corax are a possibility, but not as likely), the EM resist rig brings very little to the table, thermal resist will add more to the EHP.
You're right I will post a new fit now.
Isn't suicide ganking a Venture with a Catalyst a net loss for the ganker?
There's no profit to be made but some groups like CODE will try to extort pilots to pay for permission to mine.
i witnessed that via a chat exchange in Vaankalen the other day. Guy named Bounty Bumper kept bumping a new player for a bit while talking smack in chat. He was in a destroyer so i couldn't go with my gnosis to at least try to assist. he eventually stopped bumping the miner, letting the player leave the belt and dock up for a bit to wait till he left the system.
hey mate what is that program that u use for Fittings on ships ?
PYFA is the best right now: github.com/pyfa-org/Pyfa/releases/tag/v1.24.0
thanks for the respond so fast and ill gave it a shot :)
Alternatively go and mine within range of that perimeter buy order for 1 jump away and sell direct and you'll get about the same as you would creating a sell order with taxes and fees
More infact, didn't see the buy order higher than jita with range of 1 jump from perimeter, mine in a system bordering perimeter and sell immediately, why wait to get less??
Evilmike42 why?
But my point is, he was in a 0.6 mining, at just as much risk, why not mine and sell within a jump of perimeter? Time saved would outweigh the risk of moving the ore between systems, and get him cash in his wallet immediately, allowing him to replace his ship easily if he does get ganked, without having to wait for his sell orders to sell...
The ore I was mining is only in 0.6 and below. If I wanted to mine Veldspar I could mine in Perimeter. But for the purpose of this video and showing people how to find the best ores to mine, this is what I choose.
Great job - thank you!
Got a praxis build alpha that will cut this in half if you want to know more just ask I’ll tell you everything I know been mining since 2009
I'm v. interested. Did you log a build somewhere?
If you're mining in hs, at least 0.7 sec, you get access to the higher price hs ores, and don't need a tank at all! Orbit a rock at 1k, 2 light Drones will pop the rats faster than they can hit you. Alphas can fit mining upgrade 2 so if you get chance, grab one of those.
In null, I'd give it astrometric rigs to get away from the rats faster, use any other ship to blap the rats, mine again
useless fit u choose..
for high sec, real deal is:
>high - x2 mining lasers (later go to tech2, available for alpha clone)
>med - ore scanner (not really necessary if use overview); FS9 MSE; afterburner or mwd (this thing is must have in fit or you will uproach asteroid forever and your isk/hr will drop to nothing)
>low - mining upgrade
rigs can be same
drones:
T1 hobgoblins will work everywhere in 0.5 - 0.9 (later can be switched to faction hobgoblins)
one rule in belt - never leave ship unattended.
As an alpha clone you cant have mining drones !
In general the fact that you can't have stuff because you're an alpha clone is weird.
great video just a little outdated now but still useful
Praxis miner build
4 x mining lasers
3 x TII Rapid Heavy Missile Launchers
3,600 m/3 cargo hold
4 x Heavy Combat Drones 0r 5 x Medium or Light Combat Drones
so you're saying we can make more money selling at Jita?
4m ... that is 275 hours to plex .. roughly 9 hours a day.
exploration can pull 100mil (wormhole diving) in about 3-4 hours with alpha skills. though high risk high skill cap (rl) and inconsistent.
I m sort of reluctang to dive into WH without cloak. And alpha clones cannot cloak.
a T1 exploration frigate takes about 3mill to set up. you can spam that as candy. just make sure you dont go back into the WH you got killed inside :D
not sure on alpha but see if you can use a prototype cloak. It is shit in comparison to covert ops version but it might make WH a bit more feasible.
no prototype cloak. thats like 50% more expensive ship.
just core stabs and balls of steel
edit: balls of alloyed tritanium
Павел Петров you don't need cloak
Can you get ganked in a venture in high sec? Why would anyone do that? I just use mining upgrades and no tank...
Industry agent for the free ship
how do u mine so fast?i cant even fill half of my container in 15 min....any advice??
4 x mining lasers
3 x TII Rapid Heavy Missile Launchers
3,600 m/3 cargo hold
4 x Heavy Combat Drones 0r 5 x Medium or Light Combat Drones
why u dont teach how to compress amterial and win more than ore raw
Hobgoblins I will do the job in up to 0.5 systems, but you must kite rats and have shield booster I at least.
Pro tip, if you buy the 99$ plex package at todays ISK value, you get about 70M per $US
So.... just don't mine in a Venture because no one should grind for less than 10 cents an hour :(
fwiw m3 is cubic meter (volume unit) :)
The problem with Eve is, for a new player, How do you learn what to fit, when and how? I presume you just fit stuff.... and see if you survive or not.... and go by that.. Cos how else on earth.... can you tell what works/when and how..
You should watch more of my videos. I explain all of that multiple times. The best bet is to use a fit from someone else to start and then you will slowly learn the details as you go.
Why not just take out random hideout spawns and salvage them? Even has a chance for a faction ship to warp in and give you a hot item worth millions itself.
I ganked quite alot of bot mining ships in high sec back the day. T1 fitted cheap mods all on overheat. I remember the times all the crying in local, great times ;)
This is no longer possible. Even Hisec is overridden with Triglavian NPCs that will hit you with your entire shields-worth of HP in one strike. It's almost unplayable. There's no way to play without buying PLEX.
Oh c'mon 2-3 Hobgoblins can keep you safe from rats basically anywhere high-sec
I make 50 mil a hour today. Corp friends make 1 bil a day. I remember that dark times with venture and low profit. Never again!
I recomend nullsec exploring....I started playing a week ago and only explored nullsec for a few hours and I made around 150mil
bormos3 you didn't have problems with npcs guarding the sites?
The Lowmein I haven't met a single one....aren't those only in wormholes?
bormos3 oh maybe I am thinking of wormholes all I seem to find is salvage parts in my sites but I've been working in a .4 and -1 holes. Maybe I should go to a 0.0 system.
The Lowmein yeah try it....try providence or catch, they seem to be the most friendly(ish) regions, and look for wreck sites....(although datasites can bring some money, but usually less)
Alphas can defend themselves in .5 against rats with high drone skills in a Venture.
if you do sth like exploration in STAIN only on relic sites thats worth 25 times more
was my venture bugged it said it only had 50m3 hold so I sold it.
nvm I'm dumb did more research realized my mistake...
Wounded WuLf lmfao
Im using 5 laptops with 5 diffrent connections all using Venture and i can earn 6 mil in 15 minutes. And im making my own mining fleet and go for pvp 5 vs 1 only using tristan with same fitting. I can earn 300mil maybe in half an hour, but know little bit harder because rarely people flying in low sec.
Im an alpha, I make 5.4 mill every 20 minutes with 2 Particle Bores tech 1, Mining lazer upgrade tech 1, just mine moon minerals, find a corp that does it.
can u tell me how to do it pls
good guide, But 4,000 of that 18,000 ore was from your canceled order, so you would'nt make 1,200.000mill every 1hr, more like 900,000 or 1,000.000
wish the venture had more gun slots, though.
You can ninja mine gas clouds wormhole space for 4-5 times more money - you won't need guns there. As in "they won't help you". You'll get killed sometimes, yet still make more money, and possibly have more exciting gameplay. Remember not to use implants, as you'll lose them on death.
If you get bored with mining, you can get a lot better income trading in an Iteron. I'm playing as alpha, and that's what I do. Once you know what to trade you can make 40M per hour.
You can also join in a corporation, but I don't like playing in a team.
Just never, ever, NEVER, autopilot. Even in high sec.
***** already know not to autopilot. the advice was tossed around in local and newbie corp chats.
I just started the game yesterday. Why do you not want to auto pilot? Is it solely for the reason that autopilot turns off early and you have to fly some KM to dock during which point you could be ganked?
Fentan99 The reason you don't want to autopilot is because there are people in cheap disposable ships that love killing afk pilots in high sec space. If you autopilot you'll appear 10km from the gate, and travel some time to get there, so are very vulnerable.
If you fly the initial free ship with empty hold and don't care about getting killed - autopilot away.
But if you just saved up to buy and outfit your first cruiser, or if you put all your money on that golden trade deal that would double your money, it can put you back a lot.
Fentan99 and you appear some distance from the station you're going to as well if you auto pilot. And in Jita especially it's a VERY bad idea. when you hold the click over a star gate you're warping to hit "jump" it'll warp in jump range and you'll jump a couple seconds later. no travel time. Same principle with stations hit dock, you'll warp up on it and coming out of warp you'll be docked in literally a couple seconds.
Alpha Clone Exploring is better 100 - 150+ Million ISK per Hour!
No prop mod?
Learning into Miner 2's is by far better for yield/isk also a Mining Upgrade in low..fitting it for Shield/Dmg resist is pointless in that ship..if you get ganked, you get ganked...put a small shield booster in mid wand an Afterbooster. mine in .5-1.0 preferable .5, .6 or .7. for more of the rarer ores. 2 hobs can easily take ANY of the rats in ANY space .5+ YIELD is more important, and the cost of the parts and ship is nominal in 2-3 full loads you paid for it all. Also with max ALPHA skills in mining, 188m3 x2 every 60sec almost double the yield you prepose. From what i see in comments, the advice you are giving is very flawed...maybe do an update to this. So as not to give new players a bad idea
Wait so you're advising new players to mine a few jumps away from jita but pay haulers to move ore? Why? Buy a badger and haul it yourself if you're really grinding isk starting out.
funny thing is, I am mining as I am watching this.
As an alpha clone, I put blasters on my venture and kill the pirates instead. I get 200 k per hour if I try really really hard.
Came back as an alpha. Can't mine in my trusted Mackinaw anymore. This sucks...
They should have let former subscribers keep what they had.
nope. alpha characters have their limits. Deal with it.
Yeah sure, so they can upgrade to omega once and then sit in a alpha with omega skills right? /s
alpha skills are capped. Meaning omegas get nerfed when reverting to alpha.
If they let you keep what you'd skilled CCP would lose more and more subs every month until they went broke. Good idea.
Anyone ever tell you that you sound like Brat Pitt?
60-70 hours per month just doing this?
This is just a stepping off point for new players. Just like level 1 missions, it's a way to learn the basics and build up to better things.
If making ISK is your primary concern watch my market trading video for alpha clones. ruclips.net/video/7CaZBbsNlhM/видео.html
Sure sounds like a proper job, getting 1.2 billion ISK.
It is so painful to watch you choose Plagioclase over Gneiss which is over 1.5 times as valuable
4 mill per hour hahaha
Do you want to bore the newbies to death?
Venture mining is a waste of time. Leave mining to the big guys. A Rorqual (capital mining ship) makes 400mill per hour ...
rake483 And you can make roughly 80-100 mil an hour in a shit fit procurer if you're shooting for moon goo
@@mikeschwartz1764 Yeah but the point of this was to show how you can earn as alpha. You can't fly a procurer as alpha. You're gated to a venture - if you want to mine.
Sure, you can make isk doing other things like salvaging, exploration etc, but mining is by far one of the more safer occupations so you're more likely to return a sustainable amount of isk.
One thing I'd add is that a venture is pretty expendable, so you're better off replacing the damage control with a mining upgrade in the low slot. Higher isk per hour is probably better. With a good tank fit, the rats won't really give you too much trouble either.
best way for alphas to make money.... Join Karmafleet, get into a destroyer with salvagers, follow a ratter, then profit. Have some that upgraded to Omega within 5 days. Go figure.
great vid bud, however i would love an updated version as the fit for a new player don't work as there is not enough power for the fit you give. maybe it's just me though but an updated vid would be great. 5*
4million isk per hour is actually pretty terrible but considering its alpha clone i guess that is an entirely different subject
you could make 30m per hour doing project discovery guys lol mining is terrible
grathado28 how?
just quickly click "no transits"
If you want to earn money as a full newbie, just do passive faction warfare or lowsec/null sec relic exploring, wormhole gas mining, you can earn PLEX with one week without people's so called 'not enough skills/experience or ISK', you will spent forever to mine PLEX in your Venture, 90% newbies quit before they success to do the dumb thing, ore price is down to the hell atm, because capital mining ship in the null sec can mine at least 200M in one hour, even you pick rich ore in the highsec you still need maxed skills, which ate all your training time and for what, 2M/hour?
Unless you are truly AFK player, then nvm lol.
Also be smart, study your location on the zkillboard website, watch who's in the local, it almost more easier to avoid bad guys then the real life lol
-- btw, you can join big null alliance/corp to earn super easy money in your alpha too, and no, no one can kill you unless you don't pay attention to the local situlation, still suggest newbies to understand some basic concepts in the highsec before doing that though.
- btw2: if you must choose, you will want to use Amarr or Gallente character, so you will have higher combat drone skills to punch some NPC enemies xD
Im not and expert but it seems such a shitty ISK per hour.. with making missions i can have about 2-3mil/hour and its 2k17 so its the same ISK ... but in mission u will recve some items + 2-3mil isk/h ,i think its better to harvest gas or ( i didnt try it yet) but fit cruiser or Algos and go do bounty huntin .. 5mil per ship killed in mining sites so they have no defens and they are ez target
and now try Rokh with 8 lazors and 3 upgrades..
M three ? lol "cubic meters" man....
The alphas I have invited to my corp I have earning 10-20mil / hour mining, 30-70mil / hr exploring
corp bonuses? And if not, what are they mining?
I'm ready to join your corp man. I really need a good guide in this game
what are you mining to get 10-20 mill an hour?
what corps is that i need one
I hope you guys found a good corp. That's the most important thing to do.
