I am proud to have helped the F-16 become one of the best multirole fighters, especially in the dogfight arena. In 1979 there were three unexplained crashes and the entire fleet was grounded. I knew the problem and independently came up with a solution. After many months to locate just the person to discuss the solution, I spoke with Lt Col Kramer at Wright Patterson AFB for about an hour to provide information for the PGCAS - Preventative Ground Collision Avoidance System. At the time, 25 of our nation's best were sequestered working on the solution, and Lt Col Kramer was very appreciative of my input. Since F-18 pilots brag they can exceed human limits using the system, and confirming the project is declassified, though I never will or have discussed the technology, I now can speak of my involvement in the success of the F-16 Falcon!! I have tried to find someone to authorize that I can go for a ride. If anyone knows where and how this can be accomplished, please let me know. I have delayed considering to have a ride due to injuries from a car crash, but have recovered well enough to enjoy the flight!! So, if anyone can have someone contact me so I can have a ride in the magnificent F-16, please have them contact me. I have talked with Col Lawhead at the pentagon and verified my involvement. Col Lawhead was surprised I had such information on a black project (I have the information because I lived it), but could not help me to schedule a ride. I contacted President Trump also, with no success. After 40 years, I think I have earned the privilege of a ride. I was in discussion to make arrangements for a ride some 35 years ago, but a crash of an F-7 with a civilian passenger caused a mandate to not have civilians as passengers for decades. That mandate has been rescinded. I hope to have my dream fulfilled before I die. In my mid 60's now, the timeclock is ticking.

Wow unbelievable but I love F 18 Superhornet too but seeing how far F 16 have evolved from initial variants to latest block 70/72 variants and the amount of world wide success and air to air kills it's just remarkable appreciate great job on the greatest fighter
@@soumyajitsingha9614 The F18 was developed from the F17 that flew against the F16 in head to head competition for the Air Force. The F16 was selected due to the superior maneuverability. But the F18 was redesigned in a few ways and made to land on an aircraft carrier as well as improving flight characteristics. I give the Navy and Marine pilots Kudos for landing on the flight deck. It is very difficult. I understand why you like the F18.

@@RFYS2-4 My first thoughts were for the three pilots lost. I wanted to prevent any future loss of life due to the extreme performance of the fighter. I am confident that objective was achieved.
Second thought was for enhancing the capability for Air Supremacy. This would save even more American lives. Ever since the F-16 went back into service all other fighters aspire to be an F-16.

Still the best fighter in the U.S. Airforce inventory. With all the modern updates it is less expensive to produce and operate than the latest F-22, and F-35 with matching performance. A real fighter pilots jet!

My uncle retired as a general flying the F-16 Viper he also survived the attack on the Pentagon on 9/11/01. Randall Falcon! All my life I wanted to follow in his footsteps but unfortunately I became 6’8 so I became a professional motocross racer and then an expert rc helicopter pilot after I shattered both my legs legs from stabbing the face of another tabletop jump 140 feet away. It’s super ironic that the Falcon 9 takes off on my birthday which brought the rover and helicopter to Mars on my birthday 5/30/21. I dominated motocross within 9 months. Also come back in 07 as a free racer and smoked Ryan Dungey team Suzuki #1 full factory Suzuki RMZ 450 racer in which he blew his 50,000$ Pro Circuit engine within 5 laps as I was on my 07 KTM 250 SX 2 stroke. 😎🛫🚁🇺🇸🏁❤️

@@BLMCFR I’m wanting to get the 90mm Viper EDF! When I started flying rc helicopters I got the Century Hawk/Falcon/Raven. But was cool to have a Falcon rc helicopter as my 1st rc helicopter. I had been simming on flying rc helicopters since 1997 then on 1/20/01 was when I had my horrific motocross accident. Which to get my mind off my accident I ordered the Century Hawk/Falcon rc helicopter as I was in a wheelchair with 15 bars drilled into my legs. It was like fate because when I found out were everyone flew rc helicopters in Pensacola Florida just so happened to be next to my local track in Milton Florida. Which I got the best of both worlds. I was able to fly my helicopters and visit my friends at the track in Milton Florida. I relearned everything all over again without taking anything for pain and worked out everyday which is why I don’t have any pain. But I plan to start flying rc Jets in EDF/FPV. I’ve been told that the Viper would be a great starter EDF. ❤️🛫🚁🏁😎
@@jasonfalcon4052 I understand what you went through while in the wheel chair. I am glad you could recover without pain! I have a 1/8 foam rc F-16. I only flew it a few times before the car crash. I have it painted in the YF-16 color scheme of mostly white, red wings, and blue belly and spine. Mine is front prop driven. Being foam, it cannot become ducted fan. Yes, it helps recovery when you can spend time with friends and do something you enjoy. An EDF Viper would be cool to fly!
@@BLMCFR thanks for the reply. It’s always great to meet someone with the same interests. I think it’s one of the greatest things a person can do while having an accident in which you get better and the sport/Hobby you picked up along the line of recovery. You could get a edf. I’ve only flown pusher prop jets which shouldn’t be a problem with being an expert rc helicopter pilot and transition into flying rc Jets. It’s what separates the men from the boys. While recovering, I converted my milling machine to become a CNC 3 axis Mill and taught myself the line code commands to draw a CAD file, then convert it into the program file needed for the CNC mill to work. I had been faster on two and four wheels than the maximum speed allowed (Vne) for the light utility fixed wing aircraft I piloted. Those hobbies are very physically demanding, so I sharpened the mind!! Yes flying full scale rotary wing is difficult enough, but RC rotary wing is very difficult. Kudos brother! I was working to get my fixed wing license and have rotary wing license added. But life change in half a heartbeat for me. I know you can understand that one. Again, you are welcome. @@mikebrown9997 you have SOME of the best pilots in the world.....but the worlds is big and many nations have great pilots. The thing in war isnt the most or the better but who does more with less. You may think you have all the best pilots but the reality is that you have SOME of the best pilots and most and the better tech. But as I said war isnt just that, the portuguese on a nato exercise were the only ones in the world that were able to sink the Jfk carrier with a single outdated submarine. The same goes for your pilots on f22s and f35s who you may think are the best but may be shot down by f16s or migs and su fighters. The point is even tough you have genius pilots you are not the only ones. In fact you can bet that the us would also lose many aircrafts if we were talking about a word war, not small proxy wars to wash up tax money.

@mandellorian Not every fighter with two engines is better. The block 52 is not a dumb fighter and with great pilots it can do wonders.
@mandellorian the block 52 and many foreign variants certainly hold their own.
@mandellorian its always about the blend, just like iphone, has always lower specs than samsung on paper, but is much smoother, faster. Same is with the jets, but more importantly, the pilot, too.
You can’t beat it considering it’s price tag for production unit cost compared to other pricier planes

@@GonzoTehGreat Hypothetically it does. Pilots say that it is very effective over water but has disadvantage over land from certain angles. On the contrary the Israeli camo is highly effective over land, especially for its typical Middle East desert landscape. It is too bad that you can't upload pictures in the RUclips to show you a picture I have with a formation of Greek F-16s & Israeli F-15s above a greek island where the effectiveness of both camos can be seen

With the 5th gen Tech of the F-35 this Plane is an awesome looking plane.. and a hungry fast hunter. It doesnt need Stealth.
Absolutely, a stealth jet is the sniper of the fighterjets, but the F16 is the GI of the jets, you can put him in any situation, he will do the job.

@@jitendrabadgujar9341 actually, the PAF F16s shot down an Indian MiG 21 and SU30MKI and successfully provided a fighter escort for the strike formation. PAF pilots are some of the best trained in the world.

Exactly!! Ever since the PG-CAS system was incorporated giving the F-16 Air Supremacy, all other fighters aspire to be an F-16. I helped develop the original system in 1980 as a consultant. For free. I donated the information.

The F-16 is awesome. The various configurations...Viper/XL/ F-21/Q-Drone, need to add the DNA of F-22/35 and keep building. They can be a weapons truck like the F-15EX. The USA and Israel produce an awesome F-16 variant, to keep flying and fighting for another decade easily.
A good plane in the hands of a good pilot can do wonders.

@@joshuacrane1184 The U.S. definitely doesn't operate 4,000 to 4,500 F-16s. that's our total force of aircraft. The U.S. Air Force operates somewhere around 1,400 F-16s if I remember correctly. Still the biggest user obviously, but still.

Earlier during production development, the f16 could break into such an instant hard g turn it was rendering the pilots unconscious!
Every fighter since like 70s has that capability, to be fair. At supersonic speeds, you need a fairly slight turn to hit 10+ gs.
Loiso Pondohva Well ace! I never mentioned super sonic speeds now did I? Im speaking of dogfighting speeds! In either case the F16 was rendering the pilots unconscious when the would break into a turn during acm training an unfortunately we lost some good pilots!
