F-16, in my opinion the most beautiful aircraft. Probably the first fighter to have fly-by-wire with inherently unstable flight structure. Before dying, I wish to have a flight at it.

I prefer the looks of the F-4 Phantom II, but the F-16 is undeniably better, probably one of the best non-stealth jets ever created

Nothing beats the F16's capabilities. A beautiful bird i wished never had to go, may we remember this video to put up as a memorial when she's going on her final voyages all over the world. Many of us belgians are not a fan of the F35, we say it ugly, but everyone has their tastes. everyone born past its decommisioning will ever see this precious bird. Grew up with it, still wanting to see it fly in 2030 when digital has taken over.

I'm from Poland, we bought the F-16 in 2003. You know what it was for our pilots to replace the Mig-21 Bis with such a machine ... Now we are replacing the Mig-29 with the F-35, the world is moving forward.

The f 35 is worse than the mig tho in terms of abilities. Only in stealth and electronic warfare is it better and even then the migs can be upgraded to have that. F35 is an expensive plane that isnt worth its price

@@theTutenstien Not even EW. You will need LOTS of electric power... the F-35 generates 160 kW with one engine because it's a flying computer. F-22 generates 130 kW with two engine generators, means it couldn't even power the F-35's systems. Now i don't know about the MIG-29 but the F-15 generates only 76 kW.
This isn't a simple change. Every inch of the aircraft is already used. You can't replace the engine generator with a bigger one. More powerful, yes. Bigger, no. But then you have to keep in mind the heat management and have to rewire everything. Again, quite bad if all the space is used up.
The F-16 has one of the better lift to drag ratios compared to other fighters in its time and even today. As such it is able to achieve a wonderful sustained turn rate of 20 to 22.5 degrees a second and being able to rarely push to 24 degrees a second.

Still the most beautiful fighter jet ever & it set the benchmark for every other fighter jet that came after it . Even todays gen 5 fighters can have trouble turning & burning with the sexy 16 !!
The first fighter jet I ever remember seeing was an F-16 I think. I was on a bike ride listening to music and than slowing my music starting being drowned out by I sound I didn’t recognize, I thought my earbuds were falling out but they weren’t I pulled them out to see if maybe a car was driving past it wasn’t, it was a pair of falcons flying in formation right above me. As I watched them fly away I remember one of them hitting the afterburner and all I remember thinking was that there was a star behind it.
I dont get tired of seeing it. Such a very very great video.
I would say that the F16 with the new thrust vectoring engine that has been tested by Lockhead Martin would prove to make the F16 one of the deadliest lightweight most maneuverable aircraft in a dog fight as an full attack aircraft.

I’m British so obviously I have a bias towards the Typhoon and F35b lightning ll. But holy shit these machines epitomise aerial greatness.. Imagine 4 of these supporting a squadron of F-22’s or F35b’s. They are one of a kind and I don’t think there will be anything in the future to match these beasts.
Small, easy to maintain, (relatively) cheap and can do pretty much anything. A perfect multirole fighter for it's era. It's a shame their prime time has passed and they will be replaced sooner or later.
You cant compare f35s to these f35 is modern

To the idots who are commenting above me, the F-16 was first test flown in January 1974 by General Dynamics, production approved in 1976, and introduced to the USAF in August 1978. This is their 40th year of use by the USA. They are still being manufactured by Lockheed Martin for 25 other air forces but are no longer being purchased by the US. I worked on components for these aircraft, specifically with the Data Entry Displays/DED's.
44 years since their first test flight and this is the 40th anniversary for when they were first introduced to the USAF...arrogant fool.

Iran was first country in the world that purchased F-16, 160 F-16s aircraft purchased from the America Even when the F-16 did not enter the US Air Force. But after the revolution, the contract was canceled and the Iranian F-16s were sold to Turkey, Israel and Pakistan

Moment 1:47, that what?, 'Strike Eagle' in hot pursuit back there kindda stole the limelight, don't y'wall think? While the F-15 itself already quite a hefty framed of a jet, yet it was seen here, able to look so nimble & agile with that "barrel-roll".
